I have ysl y edp and dylan blue, honestly i prefer dylan blue. I don't know about you guys but i love the scent of dylan blue so versatile and good for everyday use in any occasion
I’ve also heard a lot more people receive compliments with dylan blue as opposed to the other frequently talked about blue fragrances. All in all you just have to wear what you like and makes you feel good over listening to some of the people on here cause a lot of them just shit on certain fragrances because of popularity

I think that you’re almost always better to buy quality over quantity. I save for what I want, so I appreciate it more, and gain more confidence from wearing it
I just spent almost 200 on a bottle and have no regret at all I’m planning to spend 250 more before the end of the month high end niche fragrances is a way better investment than cheapies

I personally think that Kouros is quite easy to wear since it is a bright day time scent that you can also wear on warmer spring/summer/ early fall nights

@@Mike-oi2th Polo Red Extreme has much better quality, and a better balanced coffee scent, and I like the drydown of it a lot more than Halloween Man X, which comes off as kinda cheap smelling (at least up close) HMX is a lot less dense than PRE but it projects more, which makes sense since PRE's a Parfum. Also PRE has a orangey chocolatey opening, so if you don't like that then you'll probably prefer the HMX opening, despite it being kinda imbalanced. Big price difference though, so if you're just exploring that kinda dna then go for HMX since it's cheap
Also I'd need to do more testing to see how long PRE lasts, coz it's possible I go noseblind after a bit, but from what I've experienced so far I don't think it's as incredibly long lasting as it's hyped to be
Dylan Blue absolutely knocks YSL Y EDP out the park but to be fair they are completely different scents. BDC is probably the natural “upgrade” option for Dylan Blue
I also own both. And I strongly disagree. For me, Dylan Blue doesn’t even come close in the Quality category. It’s not something I would ever wear to work or on a date. Smells great, but like a boujee body wash to me. Y EDP can be worn any time and anywhere. It’s my all time favorite fragrance!

I’m not sure I 100% agree with this take, yes some of the designer fragrances can’t be matched but there are a lot of affordable fragrances that deliver high quality and clones that are sometimes perform better than the OG cologne it’s trying to copy. Don’t always buy for the name. For example like Lattafa Asad which is a clone of Sauvage Elixir…and this is just me but in my opinion and my skin Asad performs and smells better on me than Sauvage Elixir…and I only paid $25 for Asad compared to $250 for Sauvage Elixir even though I do have both but I don’t wear Elixir anymore ever since I got Asad. I also have Lattafa Mahiir Legacy Silver which is a clone of PDM Sedley. It’s not a 1 to 1 but it’s damn close one is $30 compared to $345. So all in all get the one that best works for your budget and best works for your skin and performs best

Bleu de chanel is so overrated. Gives barely 1-2hrs of longevity with mild projection as opposed to YSL y that gives 8hrs+ longevity with huge projection.
I got 9pm instead of ultramale and I won’t lie it was not worth it. The scent is a bit too strong and not in the good way. All I smell is a very strong scent of vanilla which gives me a really bad headache overtime.
I don't know why people get 9pm It's not a very great clone of altramale and it's missing the pear note and other notes are messed up I thought the lattfa rams silver is cheaper and more accurate to the original but not as strong as 9pm
Technically you're still over paying because fragrances are very cheap to make, like creed aventus, and the dry down for club de nuit is longer lasting than creed. In my eyes that's better.. longer lasting
For me the Polo and Man X smell VERY similar. Halloween feels more synthetic but that's about it. It's not only cheaper but easier to get as the Polo is discontinued. Also both are better than Uomo Signature imo.
Ysl Y is fantastic stuff. The EDT is probably the nicest of the range for me, but longevity lets it down. Dylan Blue is fine, but as you say, Y EDP is top notch 👍🏼😎

Man I feel like sometimes these fragrance “specialists”/critics get way too into the nuisances and semantics of perfumery to the point that they forget the basics and why people enjoy fragrances in the first place…. Taking an example from this particular video: Dylan Blue is one of the best _designer_ “blue” fragrances on the market and VERY often beats out opponents in street battles that are 2-5x the price. I can almost guarantee you that if the price tags were reversed this gentleman would be saying the exact opposite about Dylan Blue and YSL Y EDP.
It’s so true for Kouros. I found it for €50 for a 100ml and thought what a bargain it is. Only for me to find out I just don’t like it. It’s not for me. While I really wanted Antaeus, but thought Kouros will do as an animalic scent.

In Germany Dylan blue is about 50€ and y edp 60€ (both 100ml)

As far as coffee fragrance I would’ve recommended Mugler A*Men instead. It’s a really dark, smooth cocoa fragrance with lavender.
I absolutely love the way polo red extreme blends with my skin and how long it lasts. But when I put it on my clothes it doesn’t smell nearly as good

Yea I got rid of Y EDP. Smelled way too sweet for me. My Dylan blue is my dumb reach. My advice; if you like it then buy it.

YSL Y edp doesn’t perform. You’ll have ZERO scent bubble after 1-2hrs.
