Y Le Parfum is my favorite of the line. Might scoop this up. I have a back up of bottle of Le Parfum coming in the next day or so.

I sampled this twice in a store now and I prefer it to the EDP as well.
There was something I didn’t quite like about the EDP so I seldom used it… maybe its the apple note.

Intense is a better DNA than the EDP. EDP lasts longer but Intense is better balanced with the apple tapered back a bit. Good call Monika

I like it, for where I live it'll be a great fall/winter choice. It gets a little heavy on the patchouli deep into the dry down, but I think its solid.
This is a good scent. I really dont understand why it’s getting so much hate. I even find it superior to the EDP

I think it gets hate because all the frat boys who loved the previous versions which were more for high school/clubbing, don't really appreciate the more mature style this fragrance. This is a more classy scent that they simply cannot appreciate. When you're young, you want something beast mode that will get you a ton of compliments by girls. Intense is more for the mature male and only those who really appreciate fragrances will find this appealing

I was really surprised with the edp intense. I’m really liking it. I get a cashmere/ fresh linen with incense, and mint at the top. Really nice

I picked it up and wearing it for the first time today. It actually comes across much darker than on a tester strip. On the tester it smelled fresher and lighter. On skin it went much darker with the juniper berry and lavender. I'm catching Versace Dylan Blue vibes from this wear, just way more refined and smoother. I like it. On the tester strip I liked it more. See how it wears as I try it out this week as we hit the spring temps.

You guys adresed my first question that come to my mind when I hear about Y Intense. Why? EDP is intense enought.

The EdP Intense will great for anyone who wants a rather twist in the Y-Line, a return to a classic modern masculine woody fougere without the fruity-sweet aspect found in the EdP and Le Parfum. If you wanna smell cooling-fresh, mysterious, sophistcated and business the EdP Intense will be your go-to. There are people in the community who say EdP and Le Parfum are too sweet for them, guess EdP Intense will be a choice for them finally.
I find the Intense too pine tree/woody for me. My 24 daughter said it’s a hard NO on skin. She loves Ralph’s Club Parfum. 👊🏼

The YSL Y EDP is hands down the best flanker of all time. The Apple opening, the ginger, plus the lingering olibanum was a killer combo. 💥🔥⚡

If you’re going to purchase this before it hits discounters which could be awhile as there is only a couple places you can even get it now do yourself a favor and spend the extra $25 and get the 100ml it makes no sense to spend $125 for a 60ml when you can get a 100ml for $150
I love trying to guess the notes in a fragrance, iris can be really tricky to identify because sometimes it smells soapy, powdery or even like makeup then sometimes it smells like medicine (like in lalique pour homme & Dunhill icon) so it's always a hard one to guess iris. If you think it's soapy or powdery then it could just be cardamom and sometimes the medicinal smell can just be resins like elemi resin and definitely hard to guess iris sometimes because it takes on so many smells and so many other things smell just like it. Personally if I had to guess what you're smelling is actually cardamom + lavender the lavender is probably taking on a soapy powdery smell when combined with the cardamom. Or maybe they're actually just used a very soapy or powdery smelling lavender.

I think there’s literally 0 iris in this. It’s probably, highly likely overlap of the chemicals, certain ionones (alpha isomethyl i.) play the iris but also other accords in a different context. I’m not sure we’re talking about the same thing, but I found this to be like a slightly unclean muskiness, especially early on. The other half of the equation may come from especially “sensual“ so sweetish patchouli. But ultimately idk.
Professional nose will appriciate it but most people will be disappointed for intense version.

If you don’t own anything from the Y line then the intense is a great buy if you own the EDP or the Le Parfum then it’s kinda redundant.
they don’t smell alike. i would say edp and le parfum is similar but this is much more mature/woody
Tried it, didn’t like it. Le Parfum still remains as the best from the Y line. I even think CH Bad Boy Cobalt is better than this new flanker by YSL

Thats a good comparison actually! Im a loyal BDC fan, but i bought this one today. Love this one already, nice change from BDC. Its less citrussy but definitely fresh and deep like BDC.
bdc smells great, fresh blue frag. this smells more expensive and woody, a bit less versatile
have 200ml of the le parfum and nowhere seems to have the new edp intense in stores to smell yet in the uk. found it on notino but not sure if there's enough of a difference to warrant a blind buy yet

The best YSL is the eau de parfum. PWAN, Periodt. A girl went to her manager and swapped cubicles just so that she can sit next to me and smell it in the air... So I can confused the shit out of her by wearing a different fragrance everyday until she asked me to keep wearing YSL she called it the ocean blue scent.

I blind purchased YSL Y EDP Intense. I only have one recommendation. Use very sparingly. No more than two sprays total. Any more than that and it will destroy the experience.

Might try it, or might not.. It’s hard to beat a fragrance that is so successful with great projection, by making a different version of it..

Y intense is really a super class and mature fragrence but its lasting is 2 to 3 hours.

have a few bottles of the edt and it's great for the gym, work and warmer weather... even though it's an edt it lasts and projects really, really well ... check out A.T.H's review of it

Edp intense doesnt contain Apple, pineapple and ambergris while EDT does.
That flanker line is lame.
Seems basic to me. I get the EDP, minus the apple, ozonic notes, and amberwood. It's basically a lot of juniper and some woody notes.

EdP Intense is a very different fragrance, EdP and Le Parfum are more of kinda-sweet but fruity fougere. The EdP Intense is less fruity-sweet it is more about the dark fresh woods with the fougere aspect, if you wanted a rather modern classic masculine there you go.

Sure, at some point a very new fragrance can be great but not in such a short time. In fact, with so many fragrances at once blasting out since 2013 creating something very new is difficult. They nailed it with Sauvage, Y and so on of course they will expand their new flagships that until the time has come to go on or create something new for a new decade.
