The real value of the perfume in a typical bottle of budget fragrance can be as low as 3% of the final cost. Far more money is spent on marketing, packaging and advertising than on producing the perfume. The biggest factor driving the industry is the profit margin, which can be as much as 95%.

They’ll think you just came from working with industrial chemicals.
That's how I feel with Asad. I really don't like the licorice and clove you get with the opening (there is an alcohol blast also, but it goes away quickly). After about 20 minutes, it smells really good!

Agree, but at the end of the day, the juice is the most important thing. You go out, and people smell that juice. Only you and certain people that come to your house that will see the bottle. Shouldnt be a big problem eh.
It was a joke to show that only the juice in the bottle matters. If it a very expensive fragrance($100 or more) the presentation starts to matter. It was all in good fun.
Might be fun to do a video and compare clones with eachother and the original. Like Afnan 9 PM and Lattafa Ramz Silver, which are both JPG Ultra Male clones.
i own Khamrah. It is not a 1:1 clone but I knew that blind buying and I'm 100% happy with it. I wore it then went to Sephora and to my uncultured, novice nose it was super close to Angel's Share but not the same. I don't think it has the booze of Angel's Share. BUT, for me, it's 100% a replacement because i have way lower standards. But i love it anyways.
Don't knock your own taste. So much of this game is marketing psychology, and many of these clones would get top dollar if they were sold under a designer brand name. Trust your nose. Hey, most of the people smelling you would never notice the difference anyway. 😉
@@SchoolOfScent but at 3:52 you showed JPG Le Male Le Parfum (black bottle) when talking about Ultra Male (Dark Blue bottle). I noticed you doing this on other videos as well. I found it quite confusing 😅
Asad os great. Disappointed im Detour Noir though. I dont get any performance from it. Amethyst is good but it opens a little harsh. Let it dry down and the rose is very nice

Has 9pm been reformulated? My first bottle had a nice bubble gum opening that lasted even through the dry down. But my new bottle the bubble gum smell dies off in 10 minutes and I’m left with a very strong powder smell. Doesn’t smell that great anymore.
Please Amber Oud Gold Edition Al Haramain , Qaed Al Fursan Lattafa, Rave Now Eau de Parfum, Woody Oud Maison Alhambra, Eternal oud Lattafa, Fakhar Black Lattafa, Turathi Blue Afnan
I bought Detour Noir and was hugely disappointed. It had this distinct petrichor smell to it which was very offputting. All the reviews said it had a similar spicy apple pie smell to Layton, but it really did not. Needless to say I returned it. Afnan 9PM on the other hand is an absolute gem!
you should have kept it, a lot of these clones don't smell perfect out the box, you got to let it sit and it gets better. I had this happen with cedrat boises and I exchanged first bottle because it didn't smell strong and didn't last, just 2 hours, and no one complimented, I just wasn't getting the beast mode everyone spoke about in reviews. with my second bottle after a few initial sprays and I let it sit without use for a few days. beast mode, strong, and lasts a long time. Its happening now with lataffa oud intense not strong but getting stronger.
@@david029014 I understand your point. It was one of my first purchases from a clone brand so I wasn't aware then that they needed time to macerate. But at the time it just smelt WAY off (like a bad bottle) so I decided returning it was the best move. Android it kind of was a blessing in disguise because I learned that there are other - potentially better - clones of Layton, like Dusk from Woods Collection, or Anaqeed which apparently is a great clone of Layton Exclusif. So I might pick them up. It was a learning process at the end of the day, and for me a cloud with a silver lining. Also, the bottle was HIDEOUS! lol
Khamra is not lattafa's Angel share clone. Lattafa Angel share clone is kismet Angel. Lattafa has confirmed that many times. Khamra is on its own. Kismet Angel is 95% Angel share.
The pricing policy of PdM, Tom Ford, Creed etc. should be questioned. It may be that their fragrances are of higher quality. But if the clones cost 20-30€/$, then a maximum of 3-4 times the price would be appropriate, i.e. a maximum of 100-120€ (for 80-100ml). Nobody should spend over 200 or over 300 on them. That's just a rip-off.
What do you think of Alexandria fragrances? I bought a discovery set from them which had clones of Herrod, Ombre Leather, Irish Tweed and Tabacco vanille. I didn't love the ombre leather one (mostly because I don't like the really like ombre leather, although I keep trying to convince myself to like it) but the other 3 were very good I thought and performance was quite good on all of them. I've heard they have a very good Naxos clone as well but they didn't have it in stock when I ordered the discovery set
Just curious if you’ve tried Emir Voux Elegante? I would kind of like to hear your opinion on this one. I have this and a decant of Naxos and to me they’re really close(not1:1)!
We must have a very different version of Amber Oud Tobacco edition an Khamrah - as for me neither of them is close to what the are supposed to be clone of. Tobacco Edition for me is more focused on cloves and honey than tobacco and vanilla and not even close to be 90% of Tom Ford. And while Khamrah is sweet and boozy it reminds me more Armani's Stronger with You line than Killian's Angels Share

Might be fun to do a video and compare clones with eachother and the original. Like Afnan 9 PM and Lattafa Ramz Silver, which are both JPG Ultra Male clones.
I bought (sampled) every Roja Parfums fragrance so you don't have to coming next? 😍
Supremacy in Oud is very good and Rare Carbon from Afnan
Yes, both are at least as good as what inspired them.
Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try these fragrances and have a blessed day
i own Khamrah.
Khamra is not lattafa's Angel share clone. Lattafa Angel share clone is kismet Angel. Lattafa has confirmed that many times. Khamra is on its own
@@suavemasky It just so happens to have an extremely similar bottle style to Angel's Share. Total coincidence.
Kismet angel 90% clone of Angel's Share.
Don't knock your own taste. So much of this game is marketing psychology, and many of these clones would get top dollar if they were sold under a designer brand name. Trust your nose. Hey, most of the people smelling you would never notice the difference anyway. 😉
Thank You for your great reviews.... Do you have a site or can you recommend a site where I can get some of the quality samples you review
Can you review essence vault fragrances Omar? If you don't know they are takes on alot of popular fragrances. Would be a great video!
I am not sure if Detour Noir is a great Layton Clone, since I've never tried OG Layton but is surely is a fantastic scent for that price.
Royal Equestrian kicks ASS regardless that it’s only “80%” of Layton.
I would say get the Detour Noir and save money for beast Layton Exclusif.
Not a bad shout!
@@SchoolOfScent not at all. Now looking forward to see your review of Bentley for Man Intense layered with replica Jazz Club 😉
Arabic perfumes are of good quality, I love them
Thank you for posting this helpful video
Jean paul le male le parfum is so dam good. Quality is very good I don't get any synthetic out of it
That’s a completely different fragrance
@School of Scent My bad I just realized that 😅
@@SchoolOfScent but at 3:52 you showed JPG Le Male Le Parfum (black bottle) when talking about Ultra Male (Dark Blue bottle). I noticed you doing this on other videos as well. I found it quite confusing 😅
Man yess!!’ Thank you for this! 🙏🙏🙏
Asad os great.
Disappointed im Detour Noir though. I dont get any performance from it.
Amethyst is good but it opens a little harsh. Let it dry down and the rose is very nice
Please make reviews of Paris corner's fragrances! They have been doing great work lately.
Al haramain amber oud Bleu edition. Looking to get a BDC type fragrance and have heard good things about this one
is the detour noir batch 2023 good?
this video is very useful 😌 i got 9 pm and i earned many compliments for it tonight i give it a try in the club ✌🏻
What year is your bottle?
Amber or fresh which one
In a world with discounters like notino and allbeauty, to buy clones doesn't make any sense, when you can buy a 120ml of Mancera with 49£ sometimes... :D
I agree
I bought 120ml of Cedrat Boise for €55
Best deal ever
There’s a reason why you can get 4 oz of mancera for $70 stuff is abrasive chemical messes 🤢
Great video I do agree about the creed it GOOD but it’s time to move on what about doing a bleu de Chanel clone ?
Thanks James, and recently reviewed club de nuit Iconic on the channel 😊
loved this video❤
Excellent video !
Hello Omar, I would love to see you make a review of a little hidden clone gem that certainly has not been getting the attention it deserves... Orientica XO Xclusif Oud Bleu (so much better than Detour Noir!). Keep up the good work! 👍🏻
Not so hidden anymore .
Could you do Paris Corner Emir Voux Elegante and how well it clones Naxos?
Clone fragrances allow me to try a fragrance before truly investing. If I like the clone and I get compliments I know the real fragrance will definitely be a hit.
So why bother with the "real" fragrance at all?
@@BertRussell4711 I still want to experience the Real fragrance especially If its something that I like and smells amazing on my skin. The clones are like a trail run.
Would love you to review Amber Oud Exclusif Bleu,a PMD Layton clone,Ash (Gents Scents) reviewed it and according to him,and others,is the best Layton clone on the market right now, better than Detour Noir,I would really love your take on it
How is Detour Noir compare to Amber Oud Exclusif? Which is better?
I've heard reviewers say that the latter is slightly better, but as a value proposition, Detour Noir is still a killer.
Khamrah is very underrated
Got compliments with it , it's good
The cap for my Detour Noir just stays loose. First time I opened package, the atomizer also came out with the cap :)
My cap also doesn't get fully back on the bottle, but I don't care 😂

I understand your point.
Also, the bottle was HIDEOUS! lol
Can you recommend Cool Water Parfum and Club De Nuit Urban Elixir Armaf as alternatives to Dior Sauvage? Which is the greatest and most durable?
really want that detour noir but cant handle the bottle, might even get a generic decanter and go for it
Khamra is not lattafa's Angel share clone. Lattafa Angel share clone is kismet Angel. Lattafa has confirmed that many times. Khamra is on its own. Kismet Angel is 95% Angel share.
Well, if Lattafa is saying that, they're not fooling the rest of us, because the bottle is so obviously reminiscent of Angels' Share.
Lataffa kismet Angel is the best Angel's Share clone. Try it . Khamra not. I m waiting for your Feedback
Yes more clone reviews please
The pricing policy of PdM, Tom Ford, Creed etc. should be questioned. It may be that their fragrances are of higher quality. But if the clones cost 20-30€/$, then a maximum of 3-4 times the price would be appropriate, i.e. a maximum of 100-120€ (for 80-100ml). Nobody should spend over 200 or over 300 on them. That's just a rip-off.
Al haramain amber oud ruby Edition pls
I heard 9pm's new reformulation ruined it
Which one would you guys recommend for regular office use in AC environment? Not too loud but long lasting.
ARMAF milestone great fragrance
What do you think of Alexandria fragrances? I bought a discovery set from them which had clones of Herrod, Ombre Leather, Irish Tweed and Tabacco vanille. I didn't love the ombre leather one (mostly because I don't like the really like ombre leather, although I keep trying to convince myself to like it) but the other 3 were very good I thought and performance was quite good on all of them. I've heard they have a very good Naxos clone as well but they didn't have it in stock when I ordered the discovery set
I always discuss them! 1981x, Hafez 1984 and Zion are my favourite from them.
@@SchoolOfScent Yeah I've heard good thing about Zion aswell. Definitely considering trying that and 1981x next
Part 2 pls
I bought 9pm and I hated it.
When it dries , it becomes annoying and smells weird.
Hello Omar, I was hoping i can purchase Atrium fragrance, but sadly i couldn't since there is no shipping option to france !
Hi dude, unfortunately we don’t do EU shipping, unless you’re willing to pay double the price overall!
Just curious if you’ve tried Emir Voux Elegante? I would kind of like to hear your opinion on this one. I have this and a decant of Naxos and to me they’re really close(not1:1)!
AFNAN Rare Carbon / RASASI Marha homme = TOM FORD Ombre Leather
are any of these good summer, beach wear
I have kamrah and it rly is epic sent but it does not perform i can get 5 h of decent projection with 7-8 sprays
What about club de Nuit intense man....?
ALL PDM PERFUMES are water down and less potent as compared to previous batches.
Dupes are alive and kicking 😏✌️👌
Yes, other than price, THAT is the best reason to opt for clones.
Part 2 including armaf tres nuit and oud for glory
have you tried amber oud exclusif bleu the Layton clone that's an extrait
Dylan Blue or Eros Flame? For university and all ocassions, other options are welcome, below 50$
Dylan Blue would be better for that between the two
Please test maison alhambra woody oud
Beautiful Fragrance! SOTD
Amber Oud Tobacco is really a clone of Phaedon's Tabac Rouge IMO, although Tabac Rouge itself is a Tobacco Vanille-inspired fragrance anyway.
Is tobacco edition still good tho?
@@tiktiktik9203 it is a good scent, closer to TF than Khamrah to Kilian
What do you think of Afnan Supremacy in Heaven. I'm on the fence about buying since I haven't smelled it.
You should review Lattafa Amethyst
Is the Layton clone hood for someone in highschool for everyday use
I have cdnim edt i like it very much but i want another one for daily use pls guide some fragrances. The weather in my country is hot and i just want to use in my workplace which is crowded market thanks
Club de nuit milestone great... Club de nuit sillage great option for hot... tres nuit also great from ARMAF
Oud for greatness clones in the part 2👍
Excellent video 👏more top designer clones please 😀👊
Part 2 please!
