WOW I just got this today and first time used it. What an amazing addicting fragrance! Just can't get enough of it. So glad I added it to my collection. First sniff instantly fell in love. Awesome longevity and sillage too!
This is first love at first sniff for me. I know there are other good, even better and pleasing too colognes out there but those didn’t affect me the way Y edp did the first time I smelled them. Whenever I wear it it is very comforting and uplifting aside from making me smell really good. I ❤️Y edp by YSL.
I bought this blind on your recommendation. I wore it today for the first time. Three compliments later, 9 hours later I’m home from work. It’s faint but I can still smell it. It’s absolutely fantastic! An all rounder which could be worn anytime and anywhere. Inexpensive too. Really good but so I’d give it a 10/10. Not up with the big boys but it’s a really great versatile fragrance.

I’ve never cared about fragrances, but years ago I was gifted a bleu de Chanel. I wore that same fragrance for years and never thought much of it. Then last Christmas my girlfriend’s mom gave me an Invictus paco rabanne and I HATE IT. it makes me upset to wear it, and it makes me sneeze lol. Recently I just wanted to switch it up. I just bought this on a whim without testing it, and holy shit. When I put it on in the car I smiled. I’ve never had a fragrance that makes me happy to wear.

It's one of the best but YSL have really great scents. Y is one of my favourites . I wear it often. I could recommend YSL Myself. It's fresher version and little bit better built.

I fell into the trap and started blind buying a lot lol. Picked up 6 within 2.5 months. Now I try to stay really disciplined and only get 2 per year, birthday and Christmas.
A friend and I got our noses on it a few days ago and we loved it. He's very new to fragrance collecting and I think this one will get him addicted to fragrances
I do prefer Bulgari Aqua Atlantic over this one though
The specialty fragrances you mention is a real thing to not waste money on. Some of these frags we are only going to wear a handful of times a year, at most. Who dressed up for a formal event in 2020? And if you did, you had 3-4 frags to choose from for that night.

@@nickannucci9646 I have both just got the edp last week, they’re similar, the opening in the edp is much stronger, the edt to me seems more sweet but at the same time a little more aquatic in a way. Edp lasts way longer though

This is absolutely a panty dropper. Last 24 hours plus on my husband. This ADG Profumo and Dylan Blue are the sexiest fragrances a man can wear these days.
I wore it for the whole day in front of girls in my college and saw not even a single panty drop. I want my money back.

@@cheersbud328 I just bought a 60ml bottle 3 days ago. It probably lasts around 6 hours. My 2018 bottle used to last 12. Definitely reformulated. I hate that they water it down to save money but then charge us full price. 🤯😡

It’s because of the brand it’s not that expensive, $100 for a fragrance like this is not a bad price but I understand that its not pocket change either.
Great scent ! On the dry down I get a very big reminder of Versace Eros ..
Because to my nose on the dry down the sweetness def reminded me of eros . I noticed this the first time I wore it . So I put one spray of Y on one wrist and Eros on the other wrist to test it . After an hour they were very similar. on the opening they are very different.
3 sprays max. This stuff is potent and will choke people out easily if you overspray in the high heat

This is my favourite in my collection but I disagree that this is more of a summery fragrance, I live in Australia and find it is too heavy to suit the hot weather during the day well

EDT is starting to make me come around to it, but I don’t love the performance. It wears off way too quickly, so I may have to look at the EDP.
This smells good. Its been complimented. But it gives me headaches ! Even with only ONE spray
I feel like its too strong idk maybe its just me. Maybe I could give the EDT version a try if they have that.
I can relate to this, NOT with Y edp but with all the Acqua di Gio line. Nausea is real for me when I smell those.
I’ve heard that before, doesn’t bother me. I rock the edt in the spring/gym, it’s not as good but still a pleasing scent. More like the fresher version not dark like the edp

Not yet (I don’t think) but I reckon they will do - as history dictates from YSL...
I purchased my second bottle and managed the same batch code as the first one I bought is a BEAST!!

Mind sharing the batch code? I got mine from the 07/2022 batch. Does last but doesn’t project. I asked my friend if he can smell it after 3hours and he said, he doesn’t smell anything.

The EDP doesn’t last to long for me i say a good 5-6 at most the opening is strong but after awhile it fades for me.
The Parfum for me lasts all day.

Just went to sephora to test YSL Y EDP and Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. Ended up with the carbon. I did not vibe at all with YSL Y EDP... the scent is just too much for me.

Yves Saint Laurent makes the best designer fragrances in my novice opinion.
This is one you only need 2 or 3 sprays. This is a beast for longevity and projection on me any more than 2 - 3 sprays will choke out my coworkers.

I really loved this. So much I bought it. I loved the citrus and fresh vibe after it’s been sprayed, however, after almost 7 hours it turns into a vanilla scent to me with no citrus. Is this normal? If so, I don’t like it too much. Fragrances like profondo smell the same the whole time.
Yea the wind down on this one is more vanilla. It’s because of the tonka bean

I wish I liked this one I really tried but it was a complete scrubber for me. I am by no means a fragrance snob but this one made me nauseous and my coworkers hated it. One said that it smelled like I sprayed one spray from every bottle at a Macy’s counter on me at once.
I was back and forth between this and Bleu de chanel edp, but ultimately went with bdc because I don't wear it as much.
Yeah I find bdc edp for more classy and subtle. Munching through my bottle far too quickly.

Im new to this. Other than nautica voyage this is my first real designer fragrance. Is there a place anyone recommends to get better deals on authentic stuff? I payed 133 after tax for this at Macy's. If its pretty straight up retail most of the time cool, just ovbiously would like to find better deals if possible and ive seen a couple ppl in videos mention discounted prices.
I got a sample of this, and I like the smell, but I found it way too strong. Even one spray is too overpowering. Maybe it's because I'm used to the much milder L'Homme, which I love. Idk.
I agree I find the opening far too strong and horribly synthetic. I'm not sure I could live with it and wait for the dry down everytime. I ended up buying adg profumo which is just gorgeous.
very good point. by the way, the people around perceive a fragrance of someone else as way more intense than the wearer himself. and they are forced to smell your frag. some people think a good scent must be loud and entertain yourself for hours, projecting 3 meters away. try a few sprays of Black Orchid and go to a seminar room full of people and take a seat..... lol. the best everyday fragrances are quiet (mild) inoffensive DNAs with moderate projection at maximum. (1 to 2 feet away).
@@malthusg1115 for me it's reverse, i got ADG profumo but i felt like it smelt of grass and i never really got compliments from it. I was so scared to even spray it because of the price i paid for, it runs out pretty quickly. YSL EDP is such a good projector, sweet masculine and sharp and i get tons of compliments. Also I'm not afraid to spray freely because i have spent less than profumo.
i keep seeing different opinions on whether it's a summer or winter fragrance, I live in Dubai and during winter it doesn't ever get lower than 15 (most of the time it's 18) degrees celsius while in summer it can go up to 40-50 so which weather is it better for?
It works for both. It does well in the cold for me and the heat does awesome as well. I would call it a year round fragrance, in my opinion
What about new vinted bottles of Y does it have the good performance?
Because the big bottle at Macys is a better price per ounce than the discount places

It don't matter which heavy perfume,I usually go out with 4 sprays to work,people have to smell me,that's the purpose of the perfume.
Finally you got a haircut.
I think this one works in every season except for the hot part of summer. It's just a bit too sweet and cloying for that, but the EDT or Live work well in the heat as long as you don't go overboard on the sprays

I’ve never smelt the Y EDT. But i feel like the edp is a cross between YSL lhomme and ysl y edt if it smells how i imagine it does (lighter version of edp) at least the top notes

I was in douglas, sprayed 2 sprays on my arm. I was swimming an also twice in shower. But after 12 hours I can still pick it up.

@MSM NPC Yeah 2 completely different frags but for the same time of the year (for most). ADG profumo for me is more versatile because of how the weather is. But I have never had Y EDP and I have heard a ton of good.

@@loops1316 Actaully just went to the store yesterday and ambled both Y edp and Profumo. I chose Y because of it’s longevity and I wanted a fresh and clean fragrance. That being said, Profumos scent was more unique and most people would probably prefer it
