Hi Alyn, would you mind answering a question for me. I currently have the sony alpha one and the A7R4. I’m mainly into Landscape, portrait photography and some animal sports action photography and also really enjoy Astro photography. These 2 camera’s obviously aren’t very good at Astro with their high pixel count. I’m not into video at all for info. Could you tell me what is the best Astro sony camera out there for stills only. Is it still this A7SIII? At £3799 it’s a lot of money for a 12.1MP camera if you don’t do video. I’m just so conflicted as to whether this is the right camera for me for Astro still’s photography. I saw no difference 🤣
A7Siii is definitely one of the best low light video camera. However it’s not for me. I’ll wait for A7iv.
Maybe down the line for me, am still on the edge from jumping from nikon to sony!.. A7r3 or 73! 🤯 Next iceland trip in March so want to change before then!!
I think a73 is better as long as 24mp is enough for you, it's definitely enough for most
@@mirrorlessny yea to be fair, I rarely print larger than 30x20 but the resolution helps when cropping! We need the r4 to be announced 😂
You say in your video the star eater was fixed with updates ??? When ? I never heard of it, Sony really don’t have a clue about astrophotographers
Hi Alyn! I also started doing astrovlogs with sony a7s2 :)
iIs it possible to get rid of the side noise on the Sony A7S2 by recording with an external RAW recorder?
I don't believe so, it's within the sensor readout data so even if you use an external recorder it will still be there :( Will check out your vlogs when I get a chance, enjoy!
My a7Sii allows 8x magnification for focussing in M mode, but only 4x in movie mode. Don't know the reason. Is this the same with the a7Siii? Therefore I usually take astro- videos in M mode. Is there any drawback doing this?
Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks ever so much 👍🏼😁
sony should allow us to turn on and off that noise reduction as we wish for our situation.
Amazing as always😍
Hey Alyn, how is the star eater issue? Any firmware updates? (Both from Photo & Video perspective)
