A7s cameras have been regarded as low light kings since they came out. I think theyre often compared (and perform unfavorably) in situations they arent ideal for. They seem best in extreme low light (if you want bright pictures/video in natural light at night or fast shutter for quick movement in low but not extreme darkness). The only fair comparisons seem to be moonlight levels--plus beyond a point, 2nd iso kicks in and dramatically improves the picture.
A7S iii is the best ,when we talk about clean image, second dual gain iso is the most high than any series & other brand chart Base & dual gain iso in still/photo mode a7iii : 100 & 640 a7S III : 80 & 1600 a7 IV : 100 & 400 a7r V : 100 & 300 A1 : 100 & 400
I do K9 dog photography with stills and fast moving action "agility track" fast dog action. The only one thing that is holding me back from buying the a7R V today, is I've heard that the rolling shutter is horrific. Can you comment or make a video on that topic? Thank you greatly!!!
My biggest problem with smartphone cameras is they can't shoot videos for long in summers in direct sunlight..what is the cheapest camera that can do that even with okayish image quality? Thanks in advance
A fair question! I'm not sure if the native ISO applies the same in photos as it does in video but definitely worth exploring! I typically find 12800 to be too high on any photo camera for making prints but maybe its still good for digital display? Not sure.
I'm wondering if you had the in-camera noise reduction turned on. I have an A7R5 and had it on when taking fireworks pictures earlier this month. I found it works fairly quickly and didn't seem to impact my photos. I don't know if the other two cameras have that setting.

A solid assessment 👍🏻

Thank you! This is exactly the video I was looking for.
Glad it was helpful!
a73 is better low-light camera than all 3 of these)
Thanks, do you have record for comparing videos at low lights?
This is a good question but I think the a7siii would be a clear winner when comparing 4k footage 👍🏻
Do you think 4k video in low light would be better with a7siii or fx3?
They’ll be exactly the same, same camera sensor so results should be identical 😁👍🏻

Yes, rolling shutter is an issue with video but if you shoot photos with the mechanical shutter it’s not a concern. Hope that helps!
Can you still do a video comparison between the three please?
I’ll do my best! Thanks for the suggestion
How do these perform during the day?
They are all great during the day! Really depends on what file size you want (12mp, 30mp, or 60mp)
Thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching :)

Hmmm, good question! Might be worth looking at a shade device or cooling option since many cameras can overheat in high heat situations. Good luck!
What if my lens is f2.8?
You can still shoot night photos at f/2.8. You'll need to use a higher ISO than if you had an f/1.8 lens but it still works.
I wonder how the A7Siii would have looked at its 2nd native iso 12800... you should have done one more comparison up from 6400.

2nd native iso in photo mode a7siii active on iso 1600 just stay at that iso n push exposure in editing you will get cleean image

I believe I had the in camera noise reduction turned off on all the cameras. I've used it in the past though and it does a decent job!
