The Jean Genie, 1973, will always be my favourite David Bowie song, The guitar work of Mick Ronson, is legendary. 1970-1975 is the BEST five years of music by Mr David Robert Jones!
I always like how at 3:02 and for much of the rest of the video, David Bowie sings directly to Mick Ronson. It seems to suggest that he knows he has a good guitarist, who is greatly responsible for the success of his act
Nearly 50 years old this song and still such a great one. Bowie was one cool dude, a true original. Well done, Mr Bowie. You really made the grade. Your music still rocks.
Good observation about the Blues. They “borrowed” the Blues riff. That da da da da riff is Black Blues music. They really should pay at least symbolically a tithe 10 percent of the royalties from this song to a Blues foundation or organization that helps Blues musicians because that Riff is as old as time and is in many Blues songs!

That sense of community, the energy and power of youth has always stayed with me. Thank you Mr David Bowie, you changed my life.
Forever iconic rest in peace David Bowie and Cyrinda Foxe If you look at David early during the Ziggy stardust era it foreshadows a little bit of another one of my favorite other British rockers and that's my good friend John Waite
The great Ronno putting his mark on the song - brilliant !
Ronson is why I started playing guitar, when I heard this shit as a little kid I said "That's me"
He was the best out there.
Mick Ronson, so into the beats! MAD RESPECT
Whoever is posting these classics, keep 'em up . Loved it at 15 years old, and still do!
if you like this you might like my brothers music. his name is stu morris
Damm those change of keys in this song … pure brilliance right there?
Everything's brilliant Bowie done
The Jean Genie, 1973, will always be my favourite David Bowie song, The guitar work of Mick Ronson, is legendary.
1970-1975 is the BEST five years of music by Mr David Robert Jones!
I frequently binge on Bowie! I am in total agreement that Mick Ronson was also a Rock genious! No one comes near their talent.
Totally Immense ... I play Bowie covers on YT and hope the band smile from far far away.
Absolutely Suzanne, totally uniquely brilliant.VERY SAD LOSE.
I always like how at 3:02 and for much of the rest of the video, David Bowie sings directly to Mick Ronson. It seems to suggest that he knows he has a good guitarist, who is greatly responsible for the success of his act
This is the truly greatest ... Period
Very special generation...extraordinary...iconic
What an awesome song. What a talent Mick and David !
just in case you don't know........the coolest artist that ever lived
I agree totally saw him 5 times and even looked like him lol he was my idol. RIP BOWIE YOU WILL BE LOVED BY ME FOREVER
HE HAD ALL OF MADISON SQUARE GARDEN STANDING UP DANCING . IT WAS AWESOME
MaryAnn Stegmaier how lucky you were!
Without doubt, one of the all time greats
I’m lucky enough to live down the road from where Bowie grew up, I get to walk past the bar where it all started so many years ago👍
OMG, THATS MIND BLOWING.
Nearly 50 years old this song and still such a great one. Bowie was one cool dude, a true original. Well done, Mr Bowie. You really made the grade. Your music still rocks.
This and "Suffragette City" are the best Bowie songs hands down. I love the heavy Blues style of this era.
I like queen bitch. He was brilliant. No one like him today.
@@dynjarren7523 Bowie stole the bass from Captain Beefheart/Diddly Wah Diddly and the Captain stole it from Bo Diddly. Everybody steals.
suffragette city is one of my top 5 easily
The spiders were my favourite iteration of the bowie band. So great, round and round another classic.
He was so handsome he just loved to have fun in his videos and concerts, he was such an idol. I love him so much.
I love him too
@@chicken69075 We can all love him.
with out doubt this is the pinacle of bowie and ronson together RIP both of you both genius musicians
I love this man.
J'adore !
Titre qui pour moi est culte. Merci David. ZOUBI GUYLUX ! 🧷
