So should I b doing less side missions with characters I don’t want to go on the date with. or do u get multiple choice when it gets to it who to go with ? Don’t really want to not do side missions throughout the game just because I want to get a certain character seems a waste.
Synergy Skills > ATB Skills > Synergy *Abilities* (the flashy moves) > Limit Breaks This is how I've come to understand it, synergy skills can be used to fill up your ATB, to then use ATB attacks, which then fill up the nods for Synergy *Abilities*. Using Synergy *Abilities* are then used to enhance your characters in varying ways; extended stagger time, unlimited MP, refocus, or access to your level 2 or 3 Limit breaks. For the Synergy Skills, everyone gets access to 2 offensive, and 2 defensive. Look in "Combat Settings" to see who has what, when paired up with different party members. I found all this initially overwhelming as well, so I Hope this helps🙏🏿

Reminds me of how Tsushima got a free pass, despite being incredibly akin to the Ubisoft open world bloat that game journos apparently rail against. We have the same issue in Rebirth. I was actually shocked at how derivative the open world fare was. I was actually getting bored of the busy work in Kalm at around hour 9. I pushed through to arrive in Junon, but I smell the formulaic approach from a mile away. It's minigame central! Filler, filler, filler. That's what gives you a 100 hour run time. Plus, you have to do it all over again on hard difficulty to get the Platinum... Laughing, mate!
You aren’t meant to 100% each region before moving on smh 🤦♂️ Play the game and go where you want to go, the open world will usually naturally come back to you if you are just going with your gut on what you want to do next….
Rebirth ended up more inline with OG FF7 than Remake did. Zack is just there with maybe a bigger role to play in the 3rd game. Cloud has gone crazy not accepting Aerith death just like the OG FF7. Maybe the multiverse will come into the 3rd game to maybe bring her back. As that is the only thing different from OG FF7 and these games. But the game ended pretty much how this part ended in the OG game. Cloud's gone crazy arc will kick off the 3rd game.

With the rest stops. I learned you don't need cushions, just use them to fast travel to a free rest Stop, rest there, than fast travel back.
it's easy and cheap to craft them anyway. just use them.
Just unlock everything on the map you see. It all rewards you in some form or another.

Just do them after the gold saucer. I heard in a diff vid that you can return to previous areas after the gold saucer date thing.
It's an RPG you should do every side mission. There might be times where you would be under leveled if you don't do side missions
I wish all the mini games could be avoided

I didn't finish the three card games before I left Kalm hope i can go back relatively soon. So far I'm impressed and happy
The crying guy is tough but he can be beat.
Proceed with the main quest just a little bit more and you can go back to Kalm normally

In the first city sell the headband and anything else to get the weapon and steal material because u can't come back
You get to come back within about an hour and you get the weapon for nothing from a chest
