Thank you! Question...do you hold your breath between inhalation and exhalation? Im reading the instructions from a book called Kriya Secrets Reveleaded and the instructions are- inhala for 10 sec, hold for 3, exhale for 10, but Ive been feeling some shortness of breath. I read an article where it said that holding the breath is not recommended...what do you think?
As a general rule, shortness of breath is not what we want and probably a good indicator to back off. No need to hold the breath if it's causing any undesirable sensations. :)
Thanks for this video! But what if I feel tension in my throat after just couple of minutes of this practice? I’m sure that I’m doing it right but it’s really difficult to continue when your throat is so tensed
That is totally natural! No need to continue with it if you feel any discomfort. Over time, you may be able to practice the breath for longer as you get used to working those seldom-used muscles.
It depends on when you use Ujjayi! You can use it throughout your physical yoga or meditation practice. Or you can do it for just 30 or 60 seconds and see how you feel :)
Thank you! Need to work on all the things breath!
My pleasure! What did you think of this Ujjayi?
As I get more comfortable with it I’m sure it’ll be a valuable tool! 🙏
@@DadaKevin it absolutely will! But like I said, there is a learning curve so take it slow and lmk if you have any questions! :)
@@youaligned you know I’m not bashful 😁 thank you so much for the continuous support and the awesome content and classes!

Constrict your throat when breathing in and out or only when breathing out?
Both :)
Some people do with chin lock and exhale through left nostral tipping right nose with right thumb...please clear which one is right or both right
