Hello. Quick question, don't we need to exhale through the left fose, closing the right one with the right thumb? Shouldn't we do moola bandha when we finish inhaling and contain the breathing while doing jalandhara bandha and release both bandhas right before we start exhalation? Thanks in advance for your answer, nice video!
Hi, i still don’t really understand what am i supposed to do with my throat. When you say contract what do you mean by that? I’m really trying to heal my thyroid.
During the exhale, it's like a whisper. If you can just try whispering now, but then stop talking and breathe only. It's like a very quiet, long sigh. During the inhale, imagine you're surprised and gasp, ah! That same gasp made into a very slow long relaxed inhale is ujjayi. I hope this helps you.
It's believed by yogis that there is lalana chakra located at the root of the palate or back of the mouth, advanced yogic techniques requires tongue to roll back completly and touch that chakra while meditating if it is achieved then enlightenment for that being will happen for sure, so at beginning rolling tongue back and meditating will help to achieve it in later stages and it's believed just by rolling tongue one achieves mental stability while practicing. Hope it helps! Happy practicing.
The sound of Ujjaii can be there but won't be loud like snoring, And it's not compulsory to have sound as well you should feel toward the back of your throat.

Can I please do this lying on my back as breathing deeply is easier and I feel more relaxed? I’m trying to heal my thyroid.
Good afternoon guruji

Can this pranayama be done while women are on their menstruation period
Please learn to pronounce Ujjayi correctly first. Ja is one syllable, you are not pronouncing as Jaa
