Lmao, truer words when playing a Gold+ Bison for the very first time, "this has to be a gimmick." And dude, you did really well against Pokey. The patience you displayed, from your experience playing FGs for a while really showed, especially against an Akuma.
Great video Diagophone. You've presented a masterclass in how to not only learn a new game, but also learn a new controller in one video. Your attitude and approach to both is genuinely positive and you're worth all the respect you've earned as a player. Can't wait to see you play SF6 more after full release.
Yooo, pausing the music at 20:40 was some genius editing, really excellent stuff. Great content from you Diaphone! Dude I'm stoked for the new GBVS, can't wait to see you playing it again.
I think this was incredibly well done. Not only making it to diamond in a (in my estimation) very short time, but also doing very well against someone who has clearly played the game for a long time. Kudos! Seeing you try Tekken 7 next would be cool.
It's interesting to see what you prioritize in learning a new game. You can get that when a new game comes out, but theres always too much chaos and new information to internalize that stuff.
Was fun watching your journey, the moment I saw a Ryu or that inverse-color Karin on Waterfall stage I knew you were in for a bad time, lol As far as other games it'd be interesting to see you tackle AC+R since there's so many killers online that play nowadays
Hey! I’m doing a similar challenge with Juri (just off myself). The hardest thing for me so far is hit conforming and not accidentally through out DPs. Got to work on that for myself.
Super fun video - honestly surprised how much I enjoyed it! When the music stopped with both you and your opponent on 1-touch left and your win streak on the line I really felt it! My vote for the next video is on Samurai Showdown! :D
Ik it's probably not my place, and you probably already know, but all throughout your online matches, when yhu were playing aggressive in neutral, with the walk-in-blocks, there were two notable reasons i could think why you got caught; your spacing, you entered their threat bubble (specifically against Luke) and kept doing it. That mixed with my second point, your pattern (step-step-block, step-step-block) was very readable and they did their moves just as you went to stand up. There was no break in the pattern. If this isn't helpful for yhu, then i hope it's helpful for newer players; when in neutral in slower fighters, you really need to be unpredictable. Having a movement tool is very helpful is SF, but you need to be able to enter and exit their threat bubble, as well as mix it up with different distances between blocks and different times you block. I usually have a mental clock in my head, and i try to step and block at random intervals, and wait for them to mess up and punish. The meta is very much like smash, trying to bait and punish. I hope this helps newer players/players that might not have dipped their toes into SF-Style fighters :]
Great video! As for suggestions, there's a monthly last blade 2 tournament... I played LB2 casually for quite a while and I think it's a great game but never took part in any tourney. I would be curious to see how quickly you could pick it up and what you think of it!
Great video, so glad I stumbled onto you Guilty Gear Bridget guide :). Look forward to the next video in this series. Would love to see you try some DBFZ.
Ikr. I basically lose my mind everytime I try to press 2 buttonsat once on controller (dual shock 4) due to it having triggers especially and to make it worse I play Karin
The gimmick for bison is that his side switch vskill can be neutral jumped for a big punish. Also, he's got plus frames on a bunch of big buttons that he can stagger or steal turns with specials. He has 0 defensive options however so unless they're a god it's easy to put them through the blender once you get it
I gotta see this
That Ryu could move so well in the frozen time
they all do ... for whatever reason

Ryu players are too well versed in dealing with the waterfall stage lag.
5:57 Actual SFV online match starts here.

I really appreciate when fgc content creators are creative with the type of content that they do, hope you keep this up!
I hope you do more of these. I was really good editing and I liked see a different game for once.
This was awesome! would love to see you do this with other games
Yooo, pausing the music at 20:40 was some genius editing, really excellent stuff. Great content from you Diaphone!
Dude I'm stoked for the new GBVS, can't wait to see you playing it again.
Loved the video, Diaphone! Long-form and growth mindset content are probably my two favorite types of content.

Dude you improved more at this game in one week than I have since release lol.

The music sounding like it was underwater during lag was hilarious
I was on the edge of my seat those last sets. well played! Tekken 7 next!

I’d love to see Diaphone in AC+R
just got this in my recommended n watched the whole thing this video is Epic as Hell
6:00 Classic Waterfall Ryu player

Great video! Next can be Tekken or any other game, but with a coach and/or a training partner (I wanna see how much you can progress with some help).

God this was such a great video! Good job on the grind!
Really great video! Would definitely love to see you do more of these
Really fun to watch! As a newer Juri player also switching to leverless, this just made sense for me 🙂. Now if only I could get that good in a week 😂.
Great video, love the intro and explaining of the challenge. Keep at it Diaphone!!!!!
Great video! It's cool to see the process you use to learn. Also watching your first bison match was hilarious 😂. So many knowledge checks
This is diaphones best video yet!
I propose a fighter challenge where you play a fighter series for a couple of days to get knowledge and then enter a tourney for each game.

Diaphone out here with the misinformation at 1:14 lol. Glad to see some great progress in such a short time!
I just downloaded sfv and Im loving Kage so much im a lil upset i waited so long but this game is really fun.
Better late than never. DeadAce does sick combos with Kage. He also has live streams.
Shoutouts to whoever edited the music, when shit got wonky and underwater sounding vs the laggy ryu I died 😂
Diaphone be like:
Imma maintain my 28 win streak
-
Damn, Super Gold got hands
This was awesome to watch, honestly. Can't wait to see the Daigophone comeback!
LOL The music getting funky with the lag was amazing
Great stuff. You improved very quick and the match against pokey was really good. I’m interested in seeing Your Rookie to Diamond journey for sf6.
As someone who plays mostly street fighter but has become a big diaphone fan I must say that this pleases me greatly ;v
Idk if diaphone has played granblue fantasy versus, but a challenge on that I’d love to see
Not sure if joking 🤔
@@chozo914 oh he played it then

Would love to run a longer set some time if you ever come back to SFV. Ggs, tougher match than I was expecting ngl lmao
Fun games! We’ll def run it back in SF6 🫡
That's awesome content.
I really hope you'll keep doing these
Great video, so glad I stumbled onto you Guilty Gear Bridget guide :). Look forward to the next video in this series. Would love to see you try some DBFZ.
This is one of my favorite video formats of yours. I hope it does well 🙏
i started playing less than 3 days ago, just hit ultra bronze, and all i can say is going "wait thats plus?" has a spiritual connection for me
hitbox nerfed 5 days after daigophone picks it up??? coincidence??? they know hes too powerful on the box.
Damn, I forgot how many absolute bangers the sfv soundtrack has
Hell yeah, Tekken next!
I liked the video and wouldn't mid seeing more.
this is great actually
truly goaty behavior, great content
Thanks man you inspired me to try again excellent journey dude.
Would love to see you do a video like this on +R :)
really cool video please more of it! :) have felt every fight! haha
Damn that was so fun im happy this ist parted like parts for each rank or some shit like that
This was very entertaining, keep making em
fun video diaphone
its crazy how fast you improve do you play on na or eu?
As a new player, this shit is hard af especially EX moves. Struggling more than I did with most other fighters
Ikr. I basically lose my mind everytime I try to press 2 buttonsat once on controller (dual shock 4) due to it having triggers especially and to make it worse I play Karin
@@javianbrown8627 Yeah, I only ever get them when I accidentally press 2 buttons but never when I want to do ex moves.
Legendary content right here. 👏🦖
Awesome vid, looking forward to seeing you play sf6
Godlike video
My mans achieved in a 7 days what I struggled to achieve in 7 years.
Brian F looks kinda different
Rqing so you don’t win might be the biggest flex ive ever seen
Great video my man
This was really cool! Outside of Tekken I can’t think of another game that has enough of a population to do this with besides maybe Dragon Ball.
We're still picking the next game you do regardless of how you do and you know it lol
GRANBLUE GRANBLUE GRANBLUE
I'm pretty keen to play Juri in SF6, is it worth trying her in 5 then?
Her 6 version is a combination of her 4 and 5 version leaning on 5
Its fun when u record your first time playing against a character. U cant predict anything and just have to find out by losing
Let's try to that dbz
standing MK is your best friend
Very nice video with an intresting idea!Next game I vote for is MK11
this was dope
Great vids !

Peak content
I have no input on the next game, just wanted to say I enjoyed the video!
Could you put the stream comments on the screen while your playing
what leverless controller is that? looks super clean
did you find the brand or name of the controller ?
I'd love seeing you do this in Melee
This was super fun!
What buttonbox is Diaphone using?😊
Sooooo that Juri foot stream tho? Where the Dance Pad at 🤣
Whats the song?? Its so good
Love this series
Do unist
Tekken 7 would be insane
song choice in this vid had me thinking i was watching another channel lmao
nice
I think seeing a similar challenge applied to UNIST would go kind of hard.
Tekken 7 would be fun to see
oh a tekken 7 vid would be sick
Bruv!!!! You gotta do Marvel 3. Great vid btw!
pretty weird suggestion but smash melee or ultimate could be a good idea since it's so different from regular fighting games
Are you switching to sf6 full time away from ggst?
From my experience, hour 37 means Silver.
Damn, most people like myself cant even get out of silver hahaha
be careful switching your controller to last input for the SOCD, it's not legal in most touneys.
