    I can tell Mama didn’t feel her best but she is still a Trouper! You Rock Natalie. I am so impressed with the life you guys are living. What a beautiful way to raise your children. They will know the meaning of hard work and its benefits. Your place is really starting to look like something. Jacob, you are a Machine! You are on a mission and it shows. Hats off to all the knowledge you have building your homestead. This channel could be used for education. Great work everyone, it won’t be long until you can kick back in your rocker and enjoy all your work. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.

    WOW, Logan is growing so TALL !!! Tell Jacob he can't buy any new tools because Logan is going to need all new jeans, t-shirts and shoes when school starts again. Save the money cause that boy is going to clean out the food stocks. Ethan is right behind him. It is that stage of raising children. "Hey Mom, can I have a couple extra sandwiches"?????? Good luck !

    Make sure to put some caps or empty tin cans on top of those open pipes. Don't want anyone moving "in" when you get ready to actually use them...

    When installing your drains ect, the only thing that I saw would have helped you line up the pipes after you had dry fit them, was if you marked the alignment with a marker, so that when you had a very short time to get the alignment correct you would have just lined up the marked pipes. This is critical when a pipe is a bit stubborn and you have to waste time checking to see if it is lined up proper.

    To save yourself problems you might consider putting the washer drain on separate line. The lint from it is what will contribute to clogs when ran into your main drain.

    You should explain to the kids how there's an entire facility called an "insectary" or "insectarium" where they literally grow bugs just for selling the larvae. I live not far from one, and on a rare occasion, one can smell the various disgusting stuff they feed to the bugs. Nauseating.

But still at it, with the kids, chicks and all, not always as glamorous as you would have hoped but the end result is bang on the money, keep up the best family vibe I’ve seen on Utube and the best job completion rate! Looking good so far, take care of her Jacob, she’s a keeper! Can’t wait for more progress? All the best Andy.

    I assume the yellow plastic was to mark the location of plumbing. But then I don't understand why it is covered it up?

    • @aboulderlifeoffgrid
      @aboulderlifeoffgrid  2 месяца назад

      I think you are referring to the yellow caution tape. If so, it is buried above the pipes about 8 to 12 inches so that if I dug through the area again, I would run into the tape first, warning me about a pipe a little further down. Thanks 🙂

      @@aboulderlifeoffgrid See, I told you that you are intelligent. This is glaring proof, whether you thought of it yourself or discovered it another way is of no count. The fact that you did it is substantial enough. I am duly impressed. I hope other viewers of your channel remember this trick whether it is for buried plumbing, gas line, or electrical or even buried treasure.

    nice work. as a plumber of 25 years, you don't need a perfect straight cut. It really doesn't affect things but you definitely don't want any bologna cuts. I hope you don't have any leaks on your DWV plumbing, if you do, you didn't do your self any favors by trenching the plumbing ditches.
