Why do they have "female attractiveness to men" on that list but not "male attractiveness to women"? (or male attractiveness to other men, for that matter. ) Also, the space between 7 and 18 is not just drifting through life, just because they don't have any dots on their chart. - there are so many other peaks they never mention. They list marathon running for example, but no other sports. Every sport has a different age peak. Gymnastics peak is in that 'drifting' space between 7 and 18. They have peaks listed for mathematics and vocabulary, but they don't have any dots for the arts- not a single art medium. What are the peaks for musicians, painters, dancers?
I think I must be at the peak of noticing cultural biases in 'science'.

I don't know what to think of that chart. I'm torn between feeling depressed and having something to look forward to. ;) I just turned 49 last week, saw pics my kids took of me on my bday, and man... I look OLD! I kept asking them if I look that bad in real life, and them being the nice young men that they are, they hesitated and said 'no' (I'm not convinced). Lol! I guess I'll just look forward to the 'Psychological well being' part....if I make it to 82. 😖

This is why I feel like an alien. I didn’t fit any of this. Lol at 23 I looked 12. I use to get mistaken for a child. It wasn’t until my mid 30’s that I started to feel like a full woman. I’m approaching my 40’s and this is the most feminine I have ever felt. And I’m more comfortable with my body. All I want is to add to my happiness. Live a long happy meaningful life. It’s okay not to fit the mold.

I so enjoy your videos. I’m sure you’d be a lot of fun to hang out with, because you’re very down to earth, and have a merry, and positive vibe/quality about you.
By the way, I’m not sure which video it was in (I think perhaps the mirror video) you were saying you weren’t sure you liked the sound of our own voice (which so many of us do not). Personally, find your voice very soothing, and I enjoy listening to you. Like I said, you seem like a very approachable person, with a wonderful sense of adventure, and probably a big researcher (which is what I am) and not hung up on trying to be superior, or superficial, but rather, a nice and kind soul, which our world needs more of, with each passing year!
This video was quite interesting, as I don’t think I peaked at any of the things that coincided with the ages on that chart. Of course, had I known about this chart earlier in life, I may have noticed peaking at certain things, but like you kind of said…too late to worry about those past peak ages now. Now, it’s time to look forward, and try to make the rest of ours lives the very best they can be!

I believe that one about remembering names. I used to have amazing memory for names, but I suddenly lost the ability and looking back it was somewhere around that age. I once outright forgot the name of someone I knew for over a year.

Some thing that is missing from your video is your cat’s new name! I am going to be 63 in a couple months and I have to say my most satisfied and content year was right around 50. That’s the year that I came to terms with my body flaws and everything and I discovered I was content with it all and with the thought of aging. Pretty much the only thing that bothers me is the fact that we will have a mortgage until we die because of moving around so much due to working in the closing car plant industry. I guess all in all I disagree with that whole survey pretty much. Missed you!

I peaked for arithmetic at age 34 just before my third child was born. Seems that pregnancy leached all mathematical skills l ever gained in life. Good to see you again.

I think my life is waaaaay off from this chart. 😂🤣 Im 45 now (almost 46, but I’m not claiming it!!!) I made the least amount at 39 than I ever did and made the most in my late 20’s. I’m all f#*!ed up. We’ve missed you, Lou! I haven’t gotten a notification in a while from you!

I'm fifty next month. I feel my brain dying. I've decided to go to the library next week to see if they have any study guides/aids to help learn a new language. I can't decide between Korean or Japanese.
Pickled Ginger, when I was trying to learn Spanish, I started by reading children’s books in Spanish, then moving up. I never became an expert at Spanish, but was able to communicate pretty well. Moving out of a state that had a large Spanish speaking population, to one that didn’t… well, for me it’s true, the old “use it or lose it”, and here, I don’t use it enough, so, I’d need to begin again if I wanted to become proficient once more.

What about Sexuality,I dont really think you have a peak to that,i just think it changes because the older you get the more you hirt and sore all over and more tired and its just a little nore work you put in,which is very good and Healthy.And im talking bout like idk 60 something or so.Im 43 and Feel sexually about 28!And Most people think i Look bout 30 or so when i have on make up so not too badBut Gosh Lou looks like a 37 yr.old Goddess without makeup,With a full face She would probably look 7.lol
I know they used to say males peak sexually in their teens and females in their 40s. But that is not the peak of how 'sexy' you are to others, that's based on like, how many times a day you desire sex or how many times a day you can orgasm, etc. ( if you had the free time , in the ideal world) I don't know how accurate that was but it could explain why couples who are the same age are often on very different levels.
