Hola ! He probado varias versiones de la receta y tengo que decir que me quedo con esta suya, ya que para mí gusto es la mejor y la más auténtica... con diferencia. Muchas gracias por compartirla, y saludos desde Madrid (España). Muchas gracias.
I get this Video is a several years old, but I always love coming across a fellow Texan. Great recipe, no BS, straight to the point, Gotta love it. Cant wait to cook up a batch an give this recipe a taste. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing this rescipe. Those beans look delicious. You remind me of my Mom the way you use items from your own garden to prepare your meals. That's the healthiest way to eat. 😊
Hi Jill--not been on here in a while and saw this as a keeper for sure. Is this recipe cannable? lol....maybe that is the wrong word....not like eating people. Anyway, when I make this, can I can it and put it on the shelf? Thanks for having a great channel and great spirit, gal. Jesus bless.
Those look great. If you know, are the hatch green chilies the same kind of chili as the kind in the little cans of green chilies? God bless to you too.
@@ntxg I did! What I liked most was the 3 large tomatoes. I think this was key in making your delicious base for the beans! Thanks for sharing your recipe.
Somewhere along the way I picked up a tip for keeping the beans firm, and that is start out the beans on medium heat and keep it there until they are done. Of course if I have to leave or am not around to watch them, I'll lower the heat. But I think the point is real high heat in the beginning or end of cooking will cause them to cook all to pieces/turn to mush. Just keeping them on an even simmer for as long as it takes. No impatience, which I am prone to! LOL Anyway, your beans look delish!

Hi Sandra. I’ve not done it but I bet you could. Probably wouldn’t want to cook beans as the way through. It’s certainly freeze worthy too❤️

Not unless they say hatch on em gal but they taste just as well❤️
@@ntxg Thank you, I'm in Vermont & I've heard references to hatch chilies, but as far as i know, the grocery stores here don't carry them

Yes Ma'am I sure do...Baker Heirloom Seed company at www.rareseeds.com. Keep me posted on your garden!
I’m going to be that guy, their only Hatch if grown in Hatch, NM. Or else their Anaheim peppers. Like Champagne and sparkling wine
I would have added a tablespoon of chili powder, and we're off to the races!
Hi Don! Sounds like a good idea! I may try that next time. Thank you so much for watching.
You put cowboy in the title so it's not culture appropriation.. you are not Mexican. Make macaroni with carrots. Make white people stuff.
😂
Cowboy beans?.hahaha what next?.. pozole new York...no wait... enchiladas sacramento..hahaha
Well heck yea Richie!!! And they are delish. Thank you so much for watching!!!
nothing is more irritating than a metal spoon clanging on a cast iron skillet.
Hubs said the same think Rick. I changed my ways in latter videos. :-)
why are the beans red.....
Hidy West Texas...we use the good ol red or pinto beans. It may be the video color. Thanks for watching!
