Back to the Future is an American science fiction adventure comedy film series written and directed by Robert Zemeckis, produced by Bob Gale and Neil Canton for Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, and distributed by Universal Pictures. The franchise follows the adventures of a high school student, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), an eccentric scientist, Doctor Emmett L. Brown (Christopher Lloyd), as they use a DeLorean time machine to time travel to different periods in the history of Hill Valley, California.

Many fans thought a fourth "Back to the Future" movie could be in the works when one of the lead actors in the originals, Christopher Lloyd who played Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown, posted references to the movies on social media. Michael J. Fox posted on Instagram the day after saying, "Doc and I are up to something heavy…"
It turned out they were teasing a Back to the Future themed store. When one fan replied to his tweet saying. "Please please don't say you're remaking BTTF," Lloyd wrote, "We are not."
Fans have always wondered about why there wouldn’t be another installment when every other beloved franchises seems to keep going back to the well. In a interview co-writer of the series Bob Gale explained why the fourth movie would never happen: They had already told a complete story with the original trilogy.
Michael J. Fox is obviously a big part of it. But, you could just recast it right? There was that Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. deep fake people seemed to like.
But the point stands. The film will always be compared to the original and never live on its own. That’s just a fact. As a result, it’ll always be considered inferior or, hypothetical though unlikely, will lessen the legacy of the original.
There are so few franchises or characters that haven’t been watered down in the past 30 years that it’s refreshing to have a franchise like Back to the Future which can just remain those three beloved movies. Plus, if you really want more Back to the Future, it’s out there. There are comic books, video games, even a freaking Broadway musical. Plenty of other ways the story has been continued without a movie. Those things feel like the best of both worlds-more of that thing you love without actually affecting the original.
A short movie was released titled Doc Brown Saves the World, officially created by Universal Studios and starring Christopher Lloyd, reprising his role of Dr. Emmett Brown and set entirely in his secret lab outside Hill Valley. The short movie takes place thirty years after the trilogy. Doc Brown Saves the World is the only official movie sequel to the trilogy that has ever been created.

It was so epic watching the movies as they came out. Remember watching part 1 & 2 on VHS that we hired from the video library, then rushing to the cimema to watch part 3 as it had just come out. Wish I could go back to those days. We really didn't appreciate how good life was back then.
My local cinemas did a marathon. It was tiring but awesome to see all 3 on the big screen.

This would open up a space for new concepts, this film is a gem and can easily house many theories. A new one would be excellent, it doesn't need to be version 4, but it needs the protagonists to pass the staff majestically.

I find them good in old and in a new interpretation with the latest technology. Only if you complain at a very high level do you find something like that bad, but not as someone who grew up with it.

I would appreciate every minute I could get of these 2 incredible actors furthering the story that we all love! When we watched the first movie, I'm sure a lot of us wished it was just 5 minutes or 10 minutes longer. We didn't want it to stop. This is our chance to see more! They wouldn't do anything to take away from the previous movies, and whatever they come up with would be amazing.! I'm thrilled that this could be a possibility 😀

No, just no. With todays modern Hollywood could you image the train wreck a 4th movie would be? The originals were made in a time when movies were made with passion. If this was made today it would just be passing down the mantle to a new female lead with a minority friend. That's all these studios care about these days.

I find myself not even caring about watching movies these days, there are a few exceptions. This entire world has changed drastically (for the worse) in the blink of an eye! Not sure if we'll ever get back to the golden era of Hollywood.
@@galaxiedance3135 There are actually some GREAT movies made today (it's mainly just mainstream that churns out rubbish 1 after the other and if this got made it would definitely be mainstream), you just have to look harder for them. So much is getting made now you don't hear about most of it. I've discovered some great movies this past week but takes time to look.

I think I've seen each of the films in the trilogy at least 50 times and even now I sometimes watch a return to the future because for me this trilogy is a total success. To know that there may be a sequel!! Great !!! Gorgeous !! Especially seeing Michael J. Fox again despite his illness makes me want to see a sequel that will surely be excellent. But to also see Christopher Lloyde again with his 84 years is magic!! In short, I can't wait to learn very soon that the 4 has been done and that it will be released in theaters 🙏🙏🙏

Sorry, I just don't trust Hollywood to reboot this and make it good. They are too caught up in making everything for a modern audience and less worried about making a timeless story. They also can't help insert today's politics in everything they do, and people just want to escape from that. I hope they never remake/reboot these movies. People just have to learn to let stuff go. Hollywood needs to do original movies, not subvert classics to cash in on nostalgia money.

Really? To me it doesn't feel like Back to the Future at all. Looks and feels very sequal hollywood. Lots of CGI, Serious Music, Way to dramatic. It isn't the original spirit of the old movies. When I think of BTF, I think of Power of Love by Huey Lewis, that quirky cool guys feel, I hear Johnny B. Good and I think of That scene where Marty is on stage playing guitar, which is a really fantasy a lot of people have. Then I think of campy characters like Biff and his goons. This trailer to me just feels like a movie trying to be something it's not.

Hola un saludo desde Argentina. Los que vivimos esa decada del 80 esta trilogia del tiempo fue espectacular. Y creo como fan que soy que se merecen que Michael Fox y Christopher Lloyd hagan su final despedida. Quizas quieran mantener esa magia que se le otorgo a esta pelicula a lo largo del tiempo. This has a Breaking Bad feel with Marty being a teacher, I love it. Back to the Future is arguably the best movie of all time IMO, so I don't want to see it tarnished with unnecessary sequels and reboots and spinoffs and insert more and more and more...but IF they ever did something more with the franchise I would hope it would have this level of consideration for the original trilogy.

It's a concept, not an actual trailer. Chances are, it will not be coming out.
The CGI and unreal robots doesn't work. We don't have it for a reason. Robots are already jetplanes. And they don't let you sink it in since then the motion blur will stop working for the CGI

Meu coração ferveu, fiquei arrepiado, um cisco caiu em meus olhos (chorei mesmo!). Só depois de ver umas dez vezes que me atentei que se tratava de em trailer conceito. Fiquei um pouco decepcionado, confesso, mas por outro lado é digno de muitos elogios esta criação. Seria um sonho ver o Doc e o Marty em uma nova aventura. Enfim, só posso agradecer ao idealizador ou idealizadores!

por um momento o tempo parou na minha cabeça,voltei ao passado, assisti esses filmes no cinema.Otimas recordações.Deveriam nos dar o prazer de ver uma continuação,sabemos dos problemas de saude do MJF ,e da idade do CL ,mas assistir um quarto filme seria emocionante demais para a geração dos anos 80.
Só fazer um Model 3D de MJF e CL ou um Deepfake das faces e o filme acontece. Porém não sei se há interesse comercial, mas seria muito melhor que muita porcaria que tem por aí hoje.
Quem sabe uma representação do pai contando a história para o filho, de repente o filho encontra a máquina do tempo e vive as aventuras. Uau! Existe sempre uma possíbilidade!

Eso quisieramos que haya la cuarta parte pero no creo que sea posible hay muchos factores en contra para realizar esta cuarta parte principalmente la historia de la pelicula y si la salud de Michael J Fox lo permite.

Creators of this IP have said it many times that they will never allow a sequel or a remake. It's a masterpiece on its own.

Wonder how they are going to correct for the future they created for the movie and the time line we are in now. More than likely they will travel to an alternate time line that is somewhat like ours. Hope this movie doesn't bomb like the last Bill and Ted when they turn the baby boys in the second movie into girls in the last one.
Just make a completely new time travel movie and leave this trilogy alone.
