The Statue item (40% attack speed while standing still, -10% speed) should be really good for this character. It's a way to get more attack speed without any econ penalty, since you can remove the attack speed just before the wave ends by moving.
I usually forget to comment, but today I will, because there is finally a character who wants the couch. Love the brotato vids I watch them every day, keep up the excellent and tuberous content!
Community Support* could be interesting if it showed up. I wonder how the item would interact with the mod, would you gain the harvesting after the enemies despawned, thereby dropping your atk spd back down? Also a bloodbag for wave 20 would have been a hilarious way to cash out at the end.
I'd like to see a run with this character going the opposite route. Get a damage per second item and enough healing to not die, then just push for speed/attack speed while buying harvesting to mitigate its loss.
I would love to see a combination of this character and mage while wielding the hand that hits globally by critting. (Sorry I‘m very bad with names) you could technically set the whole map on fire so the attack/move speed wouldn‘t be as important.
Does the harvesting thing actually go both ways? Like do you lose harvesting if you get speed and attack speed? I just assumed that the buffs would act as a punishm3nt for getting hit and thus missing out on harvesting increases.
would love to see this char leaning hard into faster faster faster. just get like 6 of the fastest attacking weapons, some life steal and then pivot as soon as you can with a self damage per second, so what you're broke.....but a million shots per minute
On runs where he did pick one, I’v noticed it gives a lot less materials then you would think, often barely paying for itself, seems bad for -5 damage if you aren’t on an engineering run, which is when Reto does pick it
@@Topgun689 ah, okay, i guess i always see luck ups as sort of self paying to some extent on top of the extra cash and other factors (since rolling higher weapons effectively cuts out like 1/3 the cost plus a reroll or shop entrance wait and many of the high end items vastly out perform lower ones cost wise) but thats fair i suppose.
You don't lose harvesting (at least as written) for failing the character mechanic, you just don't gain harvesting if your attack speed + speed are positive.Or is the description just really poorly worded.
It actually loses you harvesting, because that's the way it's coded, just as Power Generator loses you damage if you have negative speed, it's written in a way that it's not completely correct, but it has always been like this with effect like that in Brotato, so it's easy to assume so

5:08 We already knew that. All hail Retromation!

Imagine getting a damage per second item on the last wave stacking 10% speed and attack speed
Flaming knucks would have been a great upgrade swap early on in this haha

I think the item you're talking about is called community support
@@c8228-i6j That's the one, thanks
These modded builds seem to target Reto's play style. Really putting him to the test these days. Someone give him a cookie. He deserves one.

I think that on this character luck build would be divine.

I guess you could say he had the SLEEPER build

Yep

I went with the smg because it is a fast weapon even with negative attack speed.
Wish I could make money by sleeping.
Bed commercial
You can't by sleeping, but you can by "sleeping"
Technically you can if you are good at the stock market. But that's a crapshoot.
Politician?
Why do you never take metal detector? It seems like its a flat out amazing item.

pretty much this, you need to want the other stats on it for it to be worth the money, or using a modded character where a lot more materials drop.

This character with an engineering build though 🤔
Any reason why you didn’t take the white flag when it showed up? Seemed synergistic to me, but maybe I’m missing something
yeah, cause white flag is bad
@@Retromation Very blunt, Reto. I like it.
Guess engineering would work well?
I was thinking the same thing, I'd drop everything into engineering haha
Ditto. Maybe look for knock back for anything that got close, then just stand in the middle doing nothing, lol. I thought that's how he'd go tbh.
The character seems balanced... until you kill the last boss quickly.

🙂👌
This character is not fun to watch nor to play..
