LOVE your homeschool content! ❤️ We've enjoyed so many of the books you've shared. Leading Little Ones to God was such a foundational and impactful book in our home. Several of our kids got saved while we used that book for our family devotions. Very sweet memories of reading that one. 💕 We also truly love Heart of Dakota. While I don't use everything they recommend, the history and book choices are outstanding! They've introduced us to SO many wonderful books. Thank you so much for sharing your favorites. Blessings! ❤️
Yes so many memories in books❤️. Thank you for your kind words and sharing !!
Just recently found your channel and have been really enjoying your videos! I have 2 boys (and 1 girl 😉) but I love to see what works for your boys! I have been looking into Berean builders and Science Shepherd recently and saw that you have dabbled in both. I would love to see or hear a comparison with of those 2!
Thank you so much!!! I have done a review on Berean Builders. We just started science shepherd and hoping to use for my soon to be 6th grader. They are quite different but both good!!! That is an idea though - comparing 🤔
@@learningwithboys7431 Yes I’d love to see them compared. I’ll go check out your Bereans builders review! My oldest will be 6th grade next year and we’ve been pretty light on Science so far, mostly interest led unit studies.
We love Map Trek! We are using it with Master Books. It works so well with younger grades as well as highschool in both American and World History.
That is great!! Thank you for sharing!❤️
I don’t use all of Sonlight anymore, but I have used their K, 1, and 2nd grade readers for all of my children.
Thanks for sharing!!
I’m planning on using a few of those science books next year (tinner?)
You will enjoy them!!!
Are any of your boys gifted or ADHD? I'm still trying to refine how we do schoolwork for one of my sons.
My 2nd was never diagnosed but pretty sure ADHD and Dysgraphia. It is a long haul of sitting patiently, encouraging, giving them time and resources to explore their interests.
Lots of tests and trials and not sure I ever figured it out. But he is 18 and by the grace of God he is doing good! ❤️. Keeps me on my knees🙏
Thank you for making this video! I've been wanting to find a history curriculum that I can do with all of my kids together (15, 13, & 11), and am considering Story of the World. Now I'm curious about HOD. Could I use one course of HOD with those 3 ages ranges? I love the Charlotte Mason approach.
They have a placement chart - I think it would be difficult. I have videos on what I am using for my boys and several on HOD. It is more of a literature based leading to independence. But I have always used one of the boys read alouds and did with everyone 😉❤️
I have five kids 12, 10, 8, 6, and 2 and I was looking like something for history for a long time. We did try Preparing from Heart of Dakota but it did not capture my younger kids and it felt tedious for a group. I was leaning toward Biblioplan but it also felt like a lot. However this year we tried Sonlight and it had been amazing. I bought A and D and we have pretty much moved A to relaxed bedtime read aloud because ALL of my kids are very into and involved in the one higher level. It has been a huge blessing and very life giving for our family because we are going on this journey with these beautiful stories all together. So if you love read aloud literature based curriculum it may be something to look at!
I know it must have been fun for you "to walk down memory road" this way!
Aww- yes, thank you❤️
Thank you for sharing! Such a fun video 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!🤗
