@@Jack_80 Matt Damon isn't fluent in Russian so his accent is off. Plus the subtitles for that last sentence are incorrect as well. He actually didn't say "my argument is not with you" in Russian. He said "my FIGHT is not with you". Моя борьба не с тобой. Or at least a rough attempt at that very sentence.

One of my favorite things about this movie is the overlap between "Supremacy" and "Ultimatum"...and the callbacks, like when he said "Look at us. Look at what they make you give" which was said by Clive Owen's character in the first movie, right as he died.

14:46 Tic-tac-toe is a simple game played on a 3x3 grid created by drawing two vertical lines crossing two horizontal lines (like #). One player has the symbol X and the other O. Each takes turns writing their symbol in one of the available grid spaces, attempting to be the first to get 3 in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. It often ends with no winner. In this clip, the character seems to be using the term metaphorically, so it's hard to be sure of his meaning without more context -- but my best guess is he's referring to the grid arrangement..

Dasha, love you so much, and it's always a pleasure seeing you react to the movies I love. In the phrase you couldn't understand, when he was holding the gun on the Russian cop, "he said, "my argument is not with you".
To answer 1 of your questions, Tic-Tac-Toe is a "grid game", a square equally divided into 9 sections. The idea of the game is this:
    1. There are 2 players, and each one takes 1 turn, then the next player takes a turn
    2. Player #1 picks any section and places an "X" in it
    3. The 2nd player places an "O" in a different section
    4. The object of the game is for 1 player to get 3 of their symbols in a direct and straight line
    5. The opponent tries to either do the same, or to sacrifice their piece/symbol to block their opponent's play
You also asked about the "lens" that Jason used to spy on Noah Vosen. You were close, but not quite correct. Binoculars have TWO (2) focal tubes (telescopes) that are calibrated to give you "binary" or stereoscopic vision. The word can be broken down into its separate components, "Bin" (or Binary/2))+"Ocular" (connected to the eye, or vision), so binoculars are a set of 2 telescopes that provide "Binary Vision". What he used was a Monocular ("Mono Vision"), or a single telescopic device used to make/see something at a distance, as if it were close.

I had to look up "rendition" when I saw this too. That's when you "arrest" somebody *outside of your jurisdiction.* (Which essentially means *kidnapping)*
If a suspect is in a foreign country, you're supposed to contact the local authorities there, have *them* arrest him, and then extradite him over to your country. You're not supposed to send your own goons into another country and just kidnap their citizens or guests and human trafick them back to your own soil to be questioned, prosecuted, held without trial, tortured, or whatever...
    "He gives me evil/creepy vibes"
Blackbriar is *illegal.* Kidnapping foreign nationals and holding them without trial is a *war crime.* Torture and "enhanced interrogation" are against international law. And killing a foreign national on foreign soil is an act of war. Sending a plain-clothes assassin to do it is a *war crime.* If you want to kill a foreign national, you're supposed to declare war, and send uniformed, flagged soldiers to do it.

“Rendition” can also involve not just kidnapping someone in a foreign country and bringing them back to your own country, but often bringing the target of the rendition to a third country where there is less chance (because of weak law enforcement, a corrupt or complicit government and the like) that the people performing the rendition will run afoul of the law when the rendition target is imprisoned without charge or trial, tortured, etc.

"Look at what they make you give." That is what the asset who tired to kill him on Marie's ex-boyfriend's farm said to Bourne as he was dying in the first movie. Also, in the first movie, the first time we see Bourne is him floating in the water after being shot, very similar to the last time we see him in this trilogy. Rendering means to question (sometimes using enhanced interrogation techniques, also called torture.) Since that is illegal, then having someone who doesn't "exist" do it, serves the purpose very well. I really enjoyed watching your reactions for all three movies! It is so fun to see your face light up with joy in hearing your native tongue, especially in this last movie! I think the second one was the best of the three since they had a really good car chase with Karl Urban. Or a tie with the third one for the roof chase and the jumping. That was fun too. Thank you so much for doing these! I am glad you enjoyed them! There are two left in the franchise though.

Excellent, excellent movie and the trilogy as a whole. Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt (from Mission Impossible) have one thing in common that makes their movie so great and that is they are both "active" protagonists. They are always moving towards a goal and that way you can spin the story in interesting ways. Time constraints, heist, get the info etc.
That's one of the things that makes them such a great characters and their movies so good.
Edit: for me its 50/50 between 2 and 3, both of them are so good and because in 2 Karl Urban was excellent as the bad guy asset plus the epic car chase around Moscow. I'm leaning to 2 but 3 is where it all comes together perfectly.

I agree, from Identity to Ultimatum, it just kept getting better. My favorite of the entire trilogy is Ultimatum, it has some of the best choreography scenes, especially the fight with the assassin Desh in Tangier. As for what is rendition. It's basically where an organization/government covertly/clandestinely kidnaps an individual (usually in a foreign country) and transport them back to the organization/government's home country or to a black site in another country where they interrogate, torture, imprison or execute the individual. Rendition is usually done when the organization/government isn't legally allowed to operate in the country where the target individual currently is. The CIA's SAC as well as the military's JSOC have been known to do this, especially during the War on Terror in Afghanistan & Iraq. Key terrorist suspects to major attacks or other very high value terror leaders when apprehended, rather than being sent back to US to face justice (going through the lengthy legal and judicial processes, taking years), SAC & JSOC sent them to Guantanamo Bay, a US military base in Cuba, where many terrorist suspects are held (and tortured) there often with no legal support and/or rights. These suspects are often forced to provide information that can potentially lead to the kill/capture of other high value terrorists or dismantling of local terrorist networks. Doing all these unethical, unlawful things in Cuba allows the US government to operate without interference or legal consequences from the US justice and judiciary system (as I believe it's outside their jurisdiction as Cuba is another country).

I am always impressed how good your English is, making up a word that isn’t a word but makes complete sense isn’t easy to do for a second language. At the end though you called that a binocular. Bi almost always refers to 2 in English. like bicycle (2 wheels) biped (2 legs or limbs) bisexual (attracted to both sexes), binocular (2 lenses), etc. giving your ability to actually make up words in English, if you used mono instead of bi then you would have had the correct prefix for monocular in this case, however that doesn’t work well for the other words I gave as examples for two though also wouldn’t be wrong either.

Dasha! There’s actually five movies total although the fourth one is about a different character within the agency. It is still connected to the storyline and then the fifth and final one which is just called. Jason Bourne is the actual final installment with Matt Damon and gives the true conclusion to his story. Anyways, hopefully you watch it.

How about reading the great books (especially the first one) the movies are based upon now? And maybe seeing the first attempt at filming it, with Richard Chamberlain as Bourne?

@@johnsteed5754 - The Bourne Legacy with Renner was good and it expanded on the other programs the CIA was running parallel to Treadstone. The next film after that was just unnecessary and didn't really add anything.

The part you didn't understand was translated to "My argument is not with you"
The "you look tired" scene from last movie was actually a jump forward to now. The scene only happened once. That confuses some people.
    Now try 5 "Bourne"
It adds some additional information about how bourne was first involved.

I haven't seen "The Bourne Legacy." It received mixed reviews. But we all know how little modern movie reviews matter.
    I did see "Jason Bourne."
This one also received mixed reviews. It may be the most negatively rated movie in the series.
But in the spirit of the season -- Bah !! Humbug !!
"Jason Bourne" is a good movie. Plain and simple.

    You asked “What is rendition?”
It means to abduct someone and send them to a site for torture. The Senate wrote a whole report on the practice. There’s also a movie called Rendition which is really good.
    You asked “What is Tic-Tac-Toe?”
It’s what the Brits call Knots and Crosses.
    You asked “What is ISO?”
It isn’t ISO, the movie got it wrong, it’s ISR - intel, surveillance, and reconnaissance.

Yes. It's easy to surveil all cell phones. The cell phone technology was developed as a tracking device. It was made in the form of a cell phone, to make it desirable for you to use, to keep it with you. Smart phones made it even more so. Yet, it was not infallible. So ultra-microscopic tracking and communication technology was developed making it possible to inject it into the body.
