Great demo! Been trying to figure out Azure cloud storage setup for days now. This helped me with many other backup applications not just Synology (Veeam etc)
Can you make a video or send me a link that will explain the rotation settings, you just said click apply but would be nice to know what each option does. Thanks
If you need to recover a data that for example has been accidentally deleted, it is easy to recover it from synology, but if in the face of a catastrophe such as synology that prevents access to the data, is there a way to recover the data from synology without it being through synology, since it has broken?
something I've learned (the hard way), is the files on Azure are not browseable this way - you can't go grab a single file / folder to "get it back" when you need it. I'd like to be proven wrong. I believe you need to use the Cloud Sync synology app instead.
Linked article covers it: A note on retrieving data from a Synology Azure Backup Keep in mind that your Synology NAS device via Hyper Backup will be storing your data in the proprietary Synology backup format. Synology offers the Hyper Backup Explorer which enables you to explore this format and view your files. Keep in mind, this tool doesn’t support browsing an Azure destination at this time. This means that your data will not be “accessible” via your Azure Storage account unless you have a replacement Synology device to “retrieve” the data from Azure should the worse come to pass. Alternatively, you could download the Synology backup from Azure to a computer and use the Hyper Backup Explorer to gain access to the data and then move it to a desired destination.

Thanks, great video. Easy to follow.
Great video
Excellent Tutorial!!!
Question: Are you able to browse your backed up files on other computers / devices?
Thank you for this. Excellent job!

Any reason why not using Cloud Sync?
I used their calculator online and it said it would cost $30k a month to store 4tb
