- The United Nations has launched a global funding appeal for St Vincent and the Grenadines to help the country's recovery from ongoing volcanic eruptions.

Thousands of people are now living in basic sheltered accommodation across the island of St Vincent after evacuating their homes.
Many have no idea when they can return and the situation is further complicated by Covid-19, with several outbreaks in shelters already being reported.

The woman singing to God at the end is a good sign. I hope she was singing to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the one true God and creator of all. Everyone needs to repent to God for their sins. @@diamondintheroughiamthelaw9682 Not being horrible, the people doing all the can to clean up and get on. My mum is living in Mesopotamia region and my sister and I have other families. What I mean is some of experience it before in 79. This one seems a bit worse, but it not going to make people leave. After a few years the island will be even more fertile. If you watch all the videos you will see how the people are positive. Most of the island is out of the ref zone. All I would say if they get more help then cleaning up and bagging the ash for sale would me quicker. The ash is worth a lot of money, Some people suggesting they organise its collection. Money is needed for damage crops and damaged homes etc.
