Question I have 312 Y-block in my 55 car (Customline) with the bench seat that I have a 4speed toploader and I have already purchased the adapter plate for the T-5 do you think I need to do your setup with the S-10 tail housing and get the mechanical speedometer gear if so what is the information for the gear and where do I purchase it? Appreciate any help
Actually not the speedometer gear but the lock collar and I am assuming that the already gear on the shaft will mesh with the original 55 speedometer gear
If you can find a T5 out of a car that has a mechanical speedometer drive you should be OK. The S10 housing is mainly used to move the shifter farther forward for use in a pickup, I think an S10 housing might put the shifter too far forward if used in a car.
I have 63 f100 with y block , hope to put t 5 trans . Great video
