Joe Rogan literally changed my life. About a year and a half ago I started listening to his podcast. Hearing him and his guests (especially Cameron Hanes) discussing health and fitness sparked something in me. I changed my diet, quit drinking beer and started going to the gym. Today I am down 85+ lbs and still lifting and running daily. I ran a PR 11 miles yesterday and am running a 25k trail race in October. Keep Hammering!

Pay close attention - Joe gave the 2 biggest tips people don’t seem to understand when approaching training:
    1. Train compound, full body movements - forget the isolation work
    2. Never train to failure - leave reps in the tank and train strength as a skill
Using these two principles got me bigger, stronger, and leaner naturally than I ever thought possible as someone with very average genetics, and I’ve seen it with so many clients over the years.

    • @Mackavelli96

Never stop tensing your core whenever you lift something. At work or at the gym, slow it down and really focus on it. Even if you're likely to barely engage your core, just make a habit of it. Eventually, you will be f-cking steel and engaging it will be second nature. Almost everyone lacks core muscles, and they're very likely to get back injuries if they lift.
