Lilli or Lillibet.( Elizabeth)……Meaning:God's promise. Lilibet is a feminine Hebrew name meaning "God is my oath” and is derived from the Hebrew root Elisheva of the same meaning. Lilibet was most commonly used as a nickname but has become a popular first name in recent times.

When my husband and I struggled with fertility issues, a pastor told me, "it's okay to tell God your hearts desire- and ask if it be in His will." I did exactly that, and soon had a baby girl. We named her Michaela, meaning "she who is like the Lord", and she IS! 28 yrs old now, and so much like Christ, in her lovely character. We then gave her the middle name of Beth, meaning "God's promise". All 3 of my children now have names of biblical meaning and that means a lot to each of them. In fact, we had a different name planned for our youngest son, but one day during the end of my pregnancy, God put another name heavily on my heart, both first and middle names. My husband came home from work that day and was nervous to tell me, he felt compelled to change our name choice. God had put on his heart the very same names!! These names had not been in our thought process. They came out of the blue - on the same day. So we know that God has great plans for this young man that HE named, instead of what we had planned. 🥰

Yes! I’ve learned that pregnant mama’s with kids sometimes need more help than pregnant first time mama’s!! I was so sick with our third but still had two children to care for and it was a struggle. We got through it but now I’m more aware and quick to drop off dinner for a pregnant mama or do her laundry or clean for her if she has other kids to care for too. The work doesn’t stop! Thanks for reminding us of this !

Many years ago now, when I was a younger mum, I suggested to my mothers group that we could better support each other as we had more children. We organised a roster among ourselves to drop of a few meals to support each other as our families grew. It was such a wonderful thing to do. No one hesitated to step up, as we could all appreciate how helpful that would be. It came with no obligatory pressure. Some mums home baked, some shopped a hamper, some picked up and delivered some take-away. And all were done with love and care and understanding that this kind of support was beyond practical, it was us girls acknowledging that we knew how to help and would not hesitate. It just took an idea, and we ran with it.
Perhaps you could do something similar through you church, friends playgroup mums. It had a wonderful ripple effect, and I loved cooking something special and bundling up some goodies to drop off. We mums just know!!

Back in 1988 I had a son we named Tucker. We had the name quietly picked out for many months. Less than a month before he was born, another family (in our two neighboring, very small towns that share schools) named their son Tucker. We stuck with it. Those two Tuckers (O and P for last name letters) were next to each other throughout their school years and were great friends!! Tucker and Tucker. 💙💙

Yes! Experienced mothers still could use a hand. I remember coming home with 2 toddlers to take care of. My husband couldn't stay out of work. I guess everyone thinks" you've got this, you've done it before". But you never have the same experience twice. Each time is another child to take care of. So the load definitely grows bigger and you need to heal and rest. It is a challenge. Prayers for a healthy delivery and baby girl!!

I love your names. I love that you know each of their meanings by heart. Honestly, all of them are lovely. Lily Eliabeth or Nora Eliabeth would be so pretty. If we had had another baby girl, we would have named her Flora Elise. I'll always hold a special place for that name in my heart. I competely agree with what you said about the lack of support for moms after they've had more than one baby. When we had our last two babies, no one did anything in terms of bringing in meals or anything like that. It was so hard. I had a c-section with every one of our five children. I was literally cut wide open, stitched up, and then immediately handed a baby to take care of each time. My husband is a teacher, so taking time off is really hard for him. He usually just got about three days off with each birth. My mom is wonderful and helped as much as she could, but I remember feeling so overwhelmed and unloved. It's such a blessing to have children and I really am so grateful to get to be a mother. I just wish our society value motherhood. I wish our church family would have stepped up. It was a hard, hard time that still stirs so many emotions in me. I hope everyone around you rallies to offer some love and support this time.

I agree with you about your comments on 2nd and 3rd time moms. I’m pregnant with our third, had the most support with the 1st, not hardly any with our second(which I struggled really bad with postpartum depression and transitioning from 1 to 2 kids). My 3rd is a blessing because I didn’t think I could get pregnant but it’s been the worst pregnancy and I’m on bed rest a lot trying to raise 2 young kids and be there for them as well. It’s so real what you said about even just making a meal for them and how much that helps. Not trying to complain or anything but it is something that’s very real for a lot of moms.

My husband and I went through this lack of support when we had our children. We both came from marriages that were broken by our spouses’ decisions and waited a long time to find each other. We each brought two preteen-teenage children with us into the marriage . We were thrilled to be expecting after I had been diagnosed with infertility after my two children. Everyone at our church seemed thrilled for us, but when our son was born nobody offered to do a meal train for us despite having an active ladies ministry that did that for every other mom who gave birth, whether it was their first time or not. This happened again with our other two children. Our third child was a large baby and ended up with a serious issue at a week old requiring an 11 day nicu stay and a dangerous procedure to save her life. We were told she might have lasting effects and be deaf and in a wheelchair. Still no support from our church! My sister in law organized a meal train for us and our church members were invited to help but still none of them did. But my former church stepped up and went above and beyond, even though I hadn’t attended there in 6 years since I started attending my husband’s church.
We left our church and went back to mine where we felt like they actually cared about us.

Way cute baby clothes haul, too, and for so cheap! Love it.

I love the name ideas. My children have names that are a mixture of familial and faith-based. I love Lily Johanna, a combination of a botanical name and your name variant. I also like Camelia (Cami), Olive, Daisy, and Poppy. Whatever you choose, she is a blessing from the Lord!

The name Camille (Cami) popped in my head too and precisely Camille Johanna. It covers all the criteria, floral, family name for grandmother and Kristen's middle name, Anna.

I love Nora, I think it goes well with the other girl names. I was the last child in my family and my mom went with “Christina” instead of an “M” name like the other two she debated because my name would be different, but it has always made me feel unique and special. So, my point is don’t feel bad if you break the botanical theme. Whatever name you choose will be perfect 🥰

Lily Beth is sweet as is Elizabeth. Sometimes you just have to look at her and you will pick the perfect name. I have 4 children and we could not agree on a name until we saw her and she looked like a Heidi and still does. Looks like you are all ready, so exciting! God bless you and your beautiful family! 💗

You are so right about support after 2nd or more babies. Friends and family can take a lot of stress off the mom by making at least 2 weeks worth of meals. If you have a church family it shouldn’t be a burden to anyone to make 1 or 2 meals which does not have to be extravagant. Hope everyone showers you with love, support, meals and prayers!❤️❤️

I love the name Lily. It's beautiful. I come from a family of 5 girls. And my dad had a time calling us, our names started all with the letter S and ended with the letter A. ----Sylvia, Selma,Sandra,Sonia, and SuZanna. A tongue twister. I remember him calling us in the morning getting ready for school. It was funny. But now a beautiful memory.

Kristen, I love Violet and it's another beautiful flower, but I also feel you should keep the tradition ending with IE or Y. I've thought of Holly, Poppy and Ellery, and also think Eden and Heather are really nice too even if they don't have the same ending❤

Every single name is beautiful, and she will be as well. I can’t pick a favorite, but I have always loved the name Lottie (a sweet nickname for Charlotte), probably because when I was a little girl, I lived on a rural one lane gravel road. At the end of it lived a little lady named Lottie. She loved the Lord and always made time for me. I can still remember the smell of her rose bush beside her kitchen window, where I parked my bicycle, and the sugar cookies she always seemed to have baking in her oven. She lived to be 104 years old. God bless you and your precious family. Sending lots of love and prayers from Kentucky. ❤
