And to think that this was the first song they ever wrote as Spiritbox. That's such a high bar to set for yourself right off the bat, as a band. Such a great song. Don't ever quit making music, Spiritbox.

@@ThanatosSD yeah for me IWABO wasn't really melodic enough, a little to grindcore-y sometimes. And the humor didn't really do anything for me. @@duguy182 oh yeah I've been well versed in meshuggah and other prog bands since then. Definitely love me some bleed now and again. Love this song from spirit box though.
Pretty much agree, it's got the chug that Meshuggah always has (and Periphery has sometimes), but I feel like the mashup needs some Tesseract or Skyharbor or something like that. Spiritbox has this sort of spooky artsy ambiance that not a lot of heavier metal bands have. Sorta... gothic?
I love this song, the clean guitar and then it breaks into the final hook. I felt that. I've heard *a lot* of music, and nothing has made me cry like that. You guys are the only band on my Spotify with its own playlist.
3:36 to the end is actually unbelievably amazing. the clean guitar riff is just owiuyghbwiheg, and the following part is just so melodic and the way it fades out with the static OH MY GODDDDD
I just discovered you guys and I’m blown away by your talent. Y’all are a blessing to modern metal and absolute masters of your craft. You instantly made me a fan. So fucking groovy and melodic and brutal at the same time. Dare I say I hear the love child of Periphery, Tesseract, and PVRIS all wrapped up in one delicious djenty morsel?! this song is absolute perfection. the bridge starting at 1:46 and then the breakdown to follow is seriously insane. unbelievable how incredible this song is
How am I just now finding this?! This is fantastic, love all the textures and tones mixed with crushing riffs and spectacular vocals in both the cleans and screams. Excellent work! Have had this on repeat since I found it yesterday!
