The tape stuff in the video, lyrics about a virus and "binding the pathogen," the second verse being VERY applicable to Sadako's death, following the band's early themes about vengeful spirits/dead girls in general...dunno. It's just always been the vibe i got and it makes me love this song even more.
Agreed. They are pretty amazing. One of my other favorites is Infected Rain. Lena is an amazing artist, on top of having a beautiful soul, and really caring for her fans, just like Spiritbox. These bands are rare.

Some bands scream their way through their songs. Others keep it dimmed down, not breaking through. Spiritbox, to me, catches the perfect middle ground in their songs, with their constant fluctuation between cleans and screams, and an impossibly high bar as far as lyricism is concerned. Their songs are deeply disturbing though. Can't put my finger on it. The combination of visuals and abrasive vocals set my hair on end. And yet tantalizing all the same.
at first i was like this is ok. then on the second listen i realized how great this is. i get a very retro vibe and the chorus is just amazing. i loved the EP but this and perennial are next level stuff. please keep it coming
