I haven't been this obsessed with a song in so long. This track is getting to me a lot lately: it manages to be visceral, unbridled in fury, yet tender, calloused in mystique, trance-like, and somewhere all in between it also hurts a lot -- it feels vulnerable and like a wash of colors and emotions. It embraces you and, you safe in its arms, confronts what assails you. That line "why do you act so strange?". For some reason I really feel that. And that's the most ethereal part of the song: it feels neither melancholy or soaring as if in triumph, but like some innocent gesture: why indeed? It's like when you know something is on your mind that you really don't want to get out right now but somebody just has to ask you so simply "are you okay?" and suddenly you realize you've been holding in a lot and you want to let the gates down. Thanks for this song. It really does a lot for me.
Best new band around, a real modern metal act and one who will make it to the top if they can hold it together and deliver more music like this and build upon their debut album too!! Fingers-crossed they do!!
