The issue with Jackie keeping the ring is that she was kind of the Jeramey in that situation, so it felt kind of messed up for some that she broke the engagement and kept the ring.
@denisespieces4744 I guess Netflix got their monies worth. Marshall took a few hits that season. By the end, no ring, no girl, his young Marshall posts uncovered, his sexuality questioned and he didn't even get to confront his attackers at the reunion lol. But he came out ok in the end.

I feel like they cast these "problematic" people on purpose for drama and entertainment. It's not about seriously finding love or a spouse. To be honest, the fact that this concept even has worked out for a few couples is a miracle. Blind dating can be a good starter - but never ever should you get engaged, let alone marry in such a fleeting time. Take it from some who is married for almost 16 years. You should at least live a year or longer together before even consider marrying someone.
I disagree- I think with a good match it doesn’t really matter when you marry- if you’ve worked out all the issues and know your values etc in 1 month- why not? Because couple that stay together for years before marriage don’t have a better track record of staying married

Yep. In some states an engagement ring is a "conditional gift" and if that condition (i.e. marriage) doesn't happen, by law you have to return it. In my humble opinion, it is good etiquette to return an engagement ring. Nooooow, if you do get married, I believe you should keep it.
