I disagree slightly with some other commenters. While he was not amazing, he is head and shoulders above Cele. I really hope he grows into this role, and I believe he is capable. Let's give him at least some time. We can't have a lot of turnover in this ministry.

For too many years Police Ministers overlooked the power & the role of our communities in protecting each other by being Proactive & recognising threats & reporting on them so people can be apprehended before they even become repeat offenders, like the serial rapist he was talking about… He sounded very smart & very aware about what’s happening around us & on the ground… 💯% Proaction to prevent crimes is needed in Mzansi… He seems to be on a very right track…
