- Hi everyone and here comes Summer! (and my video😆)My mind is ready for the Summer season, but my house wasn’t! I wanted to end my Spring the right way, and give my house a quick declutter and organize a little! I needed to do several small cabinets and closet declutters, decor declutter & a nice clothes declutter! All together I decluttered over 100 items! Thanks so much for being here and I hope this gives you lots of decluttering ideas and decluttering motivation!

Hi friends! How’s it going this week? It’s going pretty good for me! I spent some time this week decluttering and organizing! I try to stay on top of my decluttering and not let it get out of hand, so it was time to go through a few areas! I was happy with what I got rid of, and I never regret decluttering! Wow! Some flower shops will take back vases...That's what I did with my extras...Need to do it again!...I cringe at giving storage things away unless they are ratty. I figure I'll need them one day...

Good morning DeDe, wow 103 items. That’s awesome. I know with my home, I seem to have it all together but then you still have a ton that needs to go. Vases seem to be a problem with all of us. Funny thing about those gems...they seem to multiply when we're not looking!! I don't know if I could never find them when I was looking for them so purchased more or what, but I recently declutter so many as well!! Great job on your decluttering and down sizing of your items!

Baskets are good for storing pillowcases, sheets, meds, sewing/craft supplies, cleaning supplies, pantry items, etc. My mother-in-law keeps a large basket by her door and insists everyone take off their shoes before they come into her home. I started doing this when the kids were growing up and my husband always removes his work boots when he comes inside. It keeps all of that dirt from your shoes in the basket instead of on the floor.
Hello there! I love baskets too! So many uses! I love having random baskets placed because it makes for a quick cleanup! I do wear my shoes in my home, but I know there are many people that don’t. I have several pair that I keep for home. I think that’s a great idea to have a basket by the door! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment!
You rock! I really appreciate how you keep yourself accountable and follow through with your agreements with yourself. The decor closet declutter alone was quite impressive. And, I believe, like 99.9%, that there must be a gremlin or something that moves things while we sleep or are away from home. I mean how else would things get put away where they aren't supposed to go? Lol! You inspire me to keep taking multiple passes through my things instead of forcing myself to do it all at once. Hi DeDe, I think we all have had a countertop fountain so time or other! Thanks for reminding me to declutter my vases and the bags of glass pieces! I forgot I had that all in my China hutch which is in the corner of my dining room that I don’t see often. Purge time! Always so impressed by just how much you let go of. Holy Donate and De- clutter, Batman! 😮😁.....Wow ! You did so much... especially with your Clothing Closet and the Decor items. ( OK. I have to tell you ..I love those blue pillows with the white design on them. It's that particular shade of blue...since I'm sooooo picky about stuff like that ! Lol ). I'm glad that beautiful Vase is gping to a friend/ Family member because the minute I saw it .. I thought it is so pretty and unique. ...And the Mirror is getting a new home, as well... yay !
Well....I rarely get rid of Books...that's the one thing I do look for ...Antique and Old Books. . ..When it comes to that, I want a R e a l Book..I'm the same way.. tactile . Visual. I want to actually " hold a Book "... ; I did not know your Mother was a published Author...oh my , what an amazing thing , that is an Accomplishment ! So I do not have - nor want - a Kindle, etc. No thank you, llol. I love reading and I adore Books ...(.I was reading and in first Grade at age 4, so my love of Reading is from an early age. )
What an Inspiring " Start to Summer " Video... ! In fact .. I am going to go through my own Closet this Weekend, and I'm sure there are items in there that I can say Gratitude over, then let them go. to hopefully bless someone .... ( I always do that, I express Gratitude for things I've had, and still have . )..Although...I do like having at least 4 to 5 black Camisoles,.. because 1 or 2 is not going to help me, lol. Yesssss... Our ' Work Identity " can often become so much a part of us ,that we find it difficult to part with certain things...I also understand this completely. 😊 Your Closet looks great ! 👏🏻
