It’s that time of year again! Time to break out my Fourth of July decor! I didn’t have a lot of 4th of July items, but I made it work and managed to decorate inside my home and a couple of touches on my front porch! I am so happy with my front porch now! It needed a major cleanup and refresh! I did a simple DIY with my lanterns and I think they turned out great! I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for reminding me that a little goes a long way. You don't have a ton of stuff to decorate this holiday with but what you used sure gives a lot of mileage. I especially love the wreath on the front door (amazing!), the bells you hung on one of the door handles, and the patriotic dog on the coffee bar sure is cute. And how awesome that that has become a tradition? This is one holiday I don't decorate at all for. I don't celebrate it at all like I used to (times sure do have a way of changing). Great call on spray painting the lanterns black and on getting a larger welcome mat. They look wonderful! And I LOL'd at "Hotel Barn Swallow". Haha! As always, thank you for your ongoing commitment to bringing us motivation, giggles, and positivity. It is deeply appreciated. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday.
Hi Matt! I am glad that you seem to appreciate less is more! So much of my younger years was focused on accumulating more, now less is definitely more! Less expense, less headaches, less maintenance, etc. etc. etc.! I love the wreath as well! It’s my favorite.
Although I like to decorate for Fourth of July, truthfully that’s about as good as it gets. We don’t do any kind of barbecuing really and I’m not a huge firework person. I remember buying sparklers and little things like that when my kids were younger, but that’s about it! I do know people that are all in when it comes to the Fourth of July. They spend massive amounts of money on fireworks, but that’s just not my thing.🤷🏻♀️ I sure do appreciate you being here!

I posed the question on all of my social medias and so far I am getting a lot of feedback, wanting an organization tour and a Q&A. So I will probably try to do those things for sure as well as other ideas. Hi DeDe, We had house finches and robins building nests on the ledge over our front windows and on top of the columns. We got metal spikes ( Called Bird Away or something like that) and my husband mounted them on flat boards so we take them down in the winter but they do work well. Your gnomes are so cute! And the lanterns came out great! Just the perfect red, white and blue touches. Thanks for always ending my week on an inspirational note- Have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning sweet friend! What a lovely cozy entry way out front. Very inviting. I also don’t have much in the way of indoor decor for the 4th, but I have a few things I will put out. Thank you, friend! My decorations were very simple this year, but I am so happy with them! I have had several people ask me where I got the wreath. The thing is, I can remember where I have gotten everything, but I can’t remember where I got the wreath! 🤷🏻♀️ I will try to look on the box and see if it says something that will ring a bell with me! 🤪

Hello friend! I love the black you painted those lanterns. I have never had a bird nest on the porch that wasn't a problem . Could I borrow some of your energy?😊 Realizing the porch mat should be larger was a great catch , it did look better 👍. My husband wants a mat that says , Go Away , I've had it in my Amazon cart forever . I think it'd be funny but ... ya know LOL. I just love the decorations you do,. That dog.. well it just belongs there !. Do you know how hard it is to be stuck on the couch watching your videos with no way to comment ( & then I forget) 😖 But they have given me motivation when I needed & to do lists when I didn't need them🤣🤣 I really do need to have a good clean everything here. I'm not stressing it right now though. I'll pick a day every week to clean & declutter till it's done . Thank goodness for the small house . Thank you for making this platform a kinder place ! Missed commenting somethin' awful !

No need to get overwhelmed with your “domestic responsibilities” you will eventually get everything done that’s for sure! Unfortunately, they aren’t going anywhere. You can always look into getting a high pressure garden hose tools that will give just a bit more power to get those hard to reach spots for that front porch! love the fact that the video is 20 minutes on the dot!

To start ... I agree with you Painting the Lanterns, because they seemed
" lost " ....And now they really tie in with those black accents that you have on your door area.....Beautiful, Especially with those Lights, at Night. ✨️ The bows...PERFECT... the Lanterns needed that " little extra " ✅️
You did so much with what you have on hand, and it's truly " Enough ".. ( Side Note : I have watched- randomly- a few other Channels in the past 4 or 5 days..here and there, ...none of which I'm " Subscribed to " ....
.... they just went completely over the top with the decorations...I found it off-putting, to be honest.....It just seemed "much too much" and it's Meaning is Lost in all that. Just IMHO. Wayyyy overdone. )

That little dog is soooo cute, I'd be using it myself, lol ! It's so heartwarming..your words about your little grandson, in regards to that 4th of July Dog. 💟
The " Welcome Flag.." ✅️✅️..I love that ..! The Colours are perfect and it looks great ... Excellent idea ! Everything needn't be " Completely " just 4th of July " Decor ".. this ties in perfectly.,and can still be used throughout Summer.. ( I'm a " Bird House Girl," lol..I have a Collection..... 😉😁)

" okay "... and more than " okay "... don't discount your abilities/ having " a good eye for what works "... you have those ! And often times, it's " trial and rearranging " lol...I employ that principle all the time ...Seeing what works, do I " like how it looks " , and it is just a process.
I am not a " Professional Designer/ etc" ..but I learned some things that are basic principles and those won't fail you.... You understand these, ..so trust yourself, my friend, ! Your statement of " I'm happy with how everything turned out ..." ... t h a t is what is key ....and that is a result of trusting yourself. 😊
I smiled ..my Heart smiled.. if I am a Cheerleader, ..if I lend you and your Efforts Encouragement ....I am doing " my part " .....
