Happy Friday Tidy Uppers! I hope everyone had a great week! I am so excited to share this video! After I did my home organization tour I got a lot of messages, wanting to know exactly HOW I organize things. They watched the home tour and loved the organization, but didn’t know where to begin for their OWN homes! I hope this video gives you some insight on my thinking process when I am organizing in my home! THANKS SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE!

Thank you so much for this, DeDe. It really reminds me to keep things simple, to do what works for me, and to take time to think about sequence and convenience. I've lived in this apartment for over 10 years now and just last year, I was inspired with a place to put my pots and pans that I was surprised I'd never thought of before! Also, I did a declutter in my closet and was pleased to gather 5 trash bags full of stuff for donation! Such a huge difference that was long overdue. Thanks in part to your motivational videos. At any rate, keep up the great job and have a wonderful weekend!

Hello there, Matt, a.k.a. friend! 🤗
Oh, my, I didn’t realize you had lived in that apartment for 10 years, Every photo you have ever shared your home is just great! You have made your space so charming! If I remember correctly, you have already been on top of the vertical idea because you had a little shelf around your kitchen sink to allow for extra space! If I even had the smallest part in inspiring you, boy does that make my heart happy! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope you have a great weekend, and a great next week, and a great August, and a great everything!

Thank you for such a wonderful reply! And what a good memory you have. I still have that shelf on my kitchen counter. Recently I thought about letting it go as a way to simplify things but no matter how I arranged things, it just didn't work. I am SO glad that I kept it as it is so versatile and allows me to store and display so many things in a unique way. Yes, you certainly have been and continue to be an inspiration to me. There are times when I am tackling a project and I think "What would DeDe do?" It helps me to step outside of my own head and gain a new perspective. Wishing a weekend full of things that bring you great joy.

Your black labels on the clear bins in the kitchen are by far the easiest to read that I've seen! Too many people print up labels on their cricut, but they're sometimes white on white, and the font is too cutsie. The ones you have are big, they have contrast, the font is clearly legible, and they are very practical. Bravo!
How many square feet is your home and basement? You have so much storage space!

      @MyBigTidyUp  3 месяца назад +2

Hi Ann! 👋🏼 Thank you so very much! You are too kind! 🤍 I absolutely love those labels too! I really wanted them large! I wear contacts but still find myself needing cheater glasses sometimes, so I wanted to make sure I could see them now and in the future!! 😂🤓 I think our home is around 4300 ft.²

🤯😨😍 Where you keeps your card box... I was just thinking I saw a 3 cube mainstays organizer , I think I can fit 2 ( please hold) "I'm grease lightning "😂 me too! ( continued ) in my extra closet .Maybe that would help control that closet & they are reasonably price IMO. YES! Everything needs a home . actually I need to check the 6 cube ones like in your workout room🤔 An odd thing I do, is put most used pots & pans in my upper cabinets because it's easier on my back & " convenient" . I stand at the bedroom door & if I can see things poking out under the bed I rearrange .Love your tips & I will keep them all in mind . They have helped me & no doubt will continue to . I really like when you let us go through your stuff with you 😂😁🤗 3 min left , don't make me come back . Love you my friend ! Enjoy your weekend & be blessed with comfort & joy! 💓

Oh my goodness, I don’t even know where to begin with this comment! Let me just start out by saying, I love you and you bring me so much joy! The more I read your comments, the more I realize you are a wackadoo… let it be known that it takes one to know one!!!
Yes ma’am, I am grease lightning. I’m glad you are too!!! I’m so greased, I could be a turtle in a race I’m thinking! 🤔
That’s a good idea about pots and pans in the upper cabinets! You are the first person I’ve known, that has done that! Brilliant! That actually makes perfect sense because those are a heavier item and are easier if you were able to grab them at eye level! I hope that anyone that has back issues stumbles across your comment because maybe it could help them too! Thank you so much for watching and sharing!
      Signed- your fellow wackadoo! 😆

Hi DeDe, I love how you gave your tips cute little titles so they are easy to remember! These tips are priceless and I am inspired to implement the vertical storage tip! Recently, my husband bought me a bunch of mason jars with plastic lids. I was just using them for overnight oats or leftovers but I can see how these jars would really help me with the bathroom extras like toothpicks, qtips and cotton balls. Once you open these packages, they never close properly again and they just cause messes. Now the extras can be stored easily and I’ll remember that the blue lid is qtips! You always make decluttering and organizing fun and achievable. Thanks for encouraging us to be just be ourselves and that that is enough!🩷🩷🩷

But, if you don’t, that is okie dokie, I just appreciate you watching!!!! You da best!

      @@MyBigTidyUpUPDATE TIME , 😊
I just loved the Thought Process you shared here ... Do what works for Ones' needs/ use preferences and what " makes sense / makes it easy " to have things right where you want them, ( I always referred to that as " Ease of Use ,"lol) and Putting them away will also be easier..., it will become a habit. I know theres Gems in here ,for as you stated... each persons' Living quarters/ Home/ and Surroundings are personal to them ,... it offers Encouragement, Solutions, and Ways to help someone,..even if they might feel " stuck " or unsure how to start getting things Re- organized, and to be able to : go through" thier Belongings, and take it one step at a time . ..
Also, those Titles you did, are great to help define what you were speaking about.. 👌🏻👍🏻
You are such an Inspiration ,my friend!! ...
And love your Humour, as always !

@thevintagebelle thank you so much, friend! I hope that you are correct and that people do find encouragement, solutions, and ways to help their situation! I have always enjoyed organizing, it is a happy place for me and it kind of comes natural, but I know for some folks it does not. I have a slew of things that do not come natural for me that I really have to work on. my hope is that this video offers encouragement and ideas to those organization does not come naturally! Thanks so much for watching! I really truly appreciate it
