If you are a person that likes to change things up a bit in your home, this is a great video for you! I really love home decorating and coming up with decorating ideas! I wanted my home to have a refresh and I wanted to switch up my decor, but I wanted to do it on a budget! Basically, I didn’t want to spend any money! 😆 I just decided I was going to shop my home and move my decor around and that’s exactly what I did! I hope this gives you some decorating ideas for your own home!

Hi Everyone! In today’s video, I take some time and switch up some of my decor! I had a few areas I wasn’t really happy with, so I wanted to make a few changes. Hey DeDe, “good evening”. Surprised? I’m watching you Friday night. lol. Well, it’s been a crazy week. Hubby had a long overdue double hernia surgery yesterday. He is recovering well. He’s def in some pain but manageable. I took off work obviously. So since we are sitting around and I was cleaning the kitchen, I decided to have you join me. (Hope you don’t mind 😜). I love love love when I redecorated but move things around. The domino effect. It completely changes the space and pockets stay the same! What a wonderful job you’ve done. It looks beautiful!! Wow Dee. You always impress me on how you change up things without spending money 💰 . My favorite is your bedroom spruce up like what a difference with spreading the blue. If I can make a suggestion I don’t think you “need” anything on the bottom of your fireplace in the bedroom I think it takes away from the top, but it’s not my house so if you love it keep it there. ❤ Can’t wait for another video.

Nice refresh, DeDe! I like the blue placemats moved to the bedroom. Your decor is nice and interchangeable. (Which can be a blessing and a curse, sometimes! 😅)

I think the tall candleholders on your fireplace should both be on the bottom and the vases on the top. 😊

Love it! Its amazing what a little.refresh can do! I also like to keep a small amount that i can change up or switch out. Extras fit in 2 totes and the zhush makes me so happy. 💖

Shopping my own home is one of my most favorite things to do. Such a simple and free way to spruce things up and change the energy. I like how the piece that you moved on your basement kitchen counter looks. The blue placemats on your nightstands is a great touch. For the TV stand in your basement, where you put the piece underneath that looks to be too small for the space, have you thought of using floral / greenery picks, or even small lengths of garland? I like spreading them throughout my home as a way to add a more natural touch and to soften some of the harder edges of things. I just lay them on their side and where possible, tuck the stems behind things. In your decor closet, I thought I saw a round light wood piece with three legs that were tipped in white. Would something like that work on your kitchen counter instead of the tray? I know it would be a bit harder to move and clean around and would not have as much surface area as the wooden tray. I just like having things of different elevations. I have a natural wood slice piece that has three rounded metal legs that I use in my kitchen. I like having something round to break up all of the squares and rectangles. At any rate, I'm rambling! I love what you did and thank you for the inspiration. I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

When I was in the basement, in the closet, I had already done the kitchen, so it didn’t occur to me to incorporate that upstairs. You definitely have given me new ideas and things to think about! I really like seeing the " Refresh My Decor "... it provides Inspiration to change things up and " shop ones ' Home " ( only purchase a small amount of things if they're needed. ) I Love the Kitchen Refresh ... the Tray Decor looks sooooo pretty, with using the Pedastal plate and everything on it " flows together" . ..and those Placemats look great! Of course, the whole Home Refresh is lovely...I'm just partial to the Kitchen areas and the Lounge ( Living Room ).lol. i like the wall piece you used on the Bedroom wall, ...and when you first put it up, sort of on the diagonal...i thought " ohhh, yes, that helps break up all horizontal lines of the dresser, etc. .." ..but it looks nice either way, and adds a mire substantial look on the wall.
Nothing wrong With using Placemats on anything.... I use them all the time for all kinds of stuff, l o l.... they look so nice ,with that Runner on tge Dresser. I was chuckling to myself... " Well. I dont have SpiderMan skills.. and im no Spring Chicken....so I'm doing what works ,to clean this off .." 😁😂... I concur completely on that sentiment! Lol.
Your daughter did nice Work on designing your Logo, and the Slide at the end. So well done.
And the Flowers look so beautiful, cheerful... I like having Fresh flowers, because it just makes ones home feel ...." cheery, and adds something pretty to look at ". But yes.. the Gifts of Service ..those are Priceless.

Hello there!! Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad you approved of the nightstand placemats! I really really have enjoyed them these last few days. I felt comfortable using them since I had the runner on the dresser that matched. Now speaking of runner, I actually found a runner in the same pattern as my kitchen placemats, I actually thought about using it the side of the kitchen bar that I have the tray on, however, it was an extra long one and I think it would have looked ridiculous. I probably could’ve cut it and made two nice size runners. I did consider that, but since I don’t have a sewing machine, I didn’t want to attempt it.
I do love fresh flowers in my home as well! I wish I had a talent for floral arrangement. We have a new family member and they are fabulous at it.
I do love to receive flowers, but they can be quite expensive and I hate for anyone to spend money on something that I can only enjoy so long, that being said, I won’t ever turn any flowers away!! 😆

I was thinking about Your thoughts on the Runner ...you could cut it, and save that portion,to use fir something else (?)....and you could always use fabric bond or iron on Hemming tape.( I used to have a sewing machine.I no longer have it.I haven't had it for years but I employ other methods.If I want to shorten something ....l o l. ) Even hand stitching works. I think it would be a lovely thing to add ! I agree... those Placemats look great with your Tea Towrks in the Kitchen!
Ohhhh ,how great to have a new Family member that is adept at Flower Arrangement... it is an Art and something to be admired !
I was actually re- watching ( as I usually do. Lol!) ... so just was giving my thoughts on a few more things 😊.
I was also laughing about the " don't come for me ..." with the Mirrored piece.. I think if you paint it ,you'll actually use it ! ( ok. So I have had a project for a few months, sometimes...before I have the " inspiration " to get it done or the time to do it, lol. So you should not worry about it still being there. 🙂( I don't ever " beat myself up " if I haven't gotten to a Painting Project exactly when I wanted to get it done . .. it will get done .).
Also meant to tell you your Bed Linens look lovely !

You are very observant friend. I do have a burn on my hand. I got it using the air fryer for my grandson‘s lunch! I immediately got ice on it, but it was too late! Thanks for noticing pal! 🤍
@MyBigTidyUp next time you get a burn try putting butter on it immediately. I know it sounds nuts but it really works.
