- Hi friends!
I finally got the chance to get outside and do my patio cleanup and patio makeover! We really enjoy outdoor living and spending time relaxing on the patio, but it was too dirty for us to go out there and enjoy it! So in this video, I do a major patio cleanup, I add new decor and do a little decorating on a budget! I rearranged how I had everything set up and I think it makes a big difference. DeDe thank you for brightening my day a little, I’m feeling very sad as my darling husband of 60 years passed away two weeks ago from Cancer. Your Patio looks lovely I love the view so pretty. 💕💕

Hi DeDe, this looks amazing! LOVE the new configuration! Looks great! Isn’t it amazing what some water and hard work can accomplish? I have a confession to make. I love power washing things. I love watching that grit and grime disappear! But you are so right - power washing can take off finishes and cause more work if you’re not careful. My husband is obsessed with keeping our outdoor furniture clean so I am
getting that Sprayaway for him. He will love it! Don’t you just love birds? I find them fascinating! The hummingbirds are back this year.😊 Have a great weekend! PS. Hello there, Jennifer ! Oh my goodness… I love the results of power washing myself! If I am watching a video and they are power washing, and it is going back-and-forth and all the dirt and grime is moving forward, it’s the best! we don’t have a power washer, but our youngest son does who lives in the same town as we do. I’ve been known to mooch it from time to time, especially when it comes to cleaning the gazebo the spiders just love it out there! I like the new set up. By comparison, last year the chairs appeared to be 'floating' and now everything feels 'grounded'. Very nice! Working on mine tomorrow!

Hello there! I would love to have the floor be a different color! What happened was we had that area resurfaced, and it had a coating put on top of it, but for whatever reason the coating did not set and started to break down and we have bits and pieces that are flaking off all of the time. I think before it could be painted all of that would have to be removed. We know when the time comes, it will be quite a project. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to share!!

Another great video. I LOVE the new furniture arrangement! I like how all of the pieces relate to each other. And I agree about using the same side for both rugs. And I like that you chose the lighter side of them. The new pieces on the wall and the lanterns add a perfect touch! Just a thought but I think it would be nice to have a small table between the two chairs. Nothing big or fancy. Just a place to put a drink or two. Also, ever since you got the new furniture set, I always wished the table you put in front of the sectional was lower, like coffee table height. I just think it would open up the space a bit more and still give you place to eat from. But, that's just my preference. And I was so happy to hear that you think you should take breaks more often and enjoy the small things. Thanks again for such a wonderful video. P.S. - My birthday dinner was wonderful! The best celebration I've had in years. My heart is happy and full.

I think it would be nice to find a small table between the two chairs as well! I was just saying, I bet I could find something very inexpensive and small from Walmart!
There are times when I really love the taller table and times that I wish it was more of a coffee table height. When I purchased it from Walmart, they had it displayed where the Ottomans slid underneath it and it provided an extra eating space, although I’ve never used it that way. Functionally speaking, I think it works better being taller, but aesthetically I think it would look better and more roomy if it was lower.

I totally understand what you mean about how the patio table functions better at that height for you. Function vs. aesthetics - the ongoing battle! I've learned an expensive lesson over the years to do my best to not settle for things. It is better to take my time in finding just the right piece and trusting that I will know it when I see it. I've forced myself to buy things and many times have regretted it. Slow and steady wins the race! Thank you for the birthday wish. Turning the big 5-6 has been a pleasure and a gift.

I was falling off my Chair... " feel free to let me know your thoughts on the Conspiracy Theory ..." Ohhhh ! I k n o w ... 🤣😁 ...since I paint so much ! ( is that Heirloom White, the Colour you used ? Its one of my favourites ,I try to buy 4 or 5 cans at a time...lol !).
I agree with the Re- arrangement...I thought about suggesting that, before .. ..it creates a nice Conversation area. I think it looks great ! .🙂 It can be a little challenging to try to get an " ideal " seating arrangement depending on what one is working with....and, I think the Rugs look fine .....Stripes and Patterns are fine together, as long as there's a Common Colour connecting the two ..until you find a larger one .( You could always layer a solid colour one, that is smaller than the one you're using, like in a grey or something... to break up what you feel as " busy- ness ".. I noticed Rugs are on sale ,with Summer approaching. )
Lovely transformation, my friend...wow. ..Yes, ..take time to enjoy the serenade from the Feathered Friend...offering you the opportunity to " just be ", and enjoy that for that time !
( There have been times I've been outside cleaning and I had all these Hummingbirds flying right by me and they were close and one even almost landed on my arm one day ....so I enjoy those kinds of things, when they show up .😊).
What a nice place to sit outside, enjoy the View... maybe have Supper outdoors... and enjoy the work you did ! ✨️😊🙂🤍

Hello there, friend! I love the thought of layering rugs! That is something I’m looking to do on my front porch. My mat on the back patio looks terrible and is completely wore out and falling apart, so I’m thinking about moving my front porch mat to the back.. once I do that I may lay two rugs on my front porch… anyway back to the patio. 🤣 this probably would be a good time to look for outdoor rugs with warmer weather approaching!

I love the lanterns. I have a chiminea too. Mine is metal and black. I love ❤️ your lake. I redid my deck and have a wonderful n view as well. So I went thru the decisions of where to place everything I am still waiting on a few arrivals from Amazon. I took advantage of prime day. I replaced cushions and got a few throw pillows. Can’t wait to see it finished. ❤❤❤ it was fun watching someone else go thru all the steps wheeeeew. Tylenol is my friend. 😂
