Hey Daphne! You certainly put in a lot of work on your patio space, which was a HUGE transformation🥰💖! I had the same problems with carpenter bees 🐝. The pest control guy told me that once I find where the bees are burrowing in my deck, to wait until they leave and seal the hole (I sealed it with construction adhesive), so they don’t return to that spot. The bees usually leave their eggs in the hole. Since then, I’ve used brown paper bags to ward off carpenter bees and interestingly enough, it works🤷🏽♀️. I completely agree with taking your time when doing these projects, cause Lord knows it can be tiresome 😩. Beautiful rug 😍 and thanks for being such an inspiration 🤗.
Hello Carolina, thank you and I appreciate you sharing your experience with carpenter bees. My pest visit is this week so we will see what they say. 👊🏾
Nice job! Love that rug. I use dish soap with a little vinegar to clean the patio, and it really helps and makes the glass on the table shine. Everything looks great.
Hola. Morning time on the patio feels great. Yes, enjoy the process. 🪴 Sometimes, I watch on TV and forget to comment. The pollen has been crazy this year. Lovely rug!! TFS I hope u have a great week.
Hi Daphne! I love your video I watched last night of you staining your driveway! Your voice is so calming! I admire your efforts and creativity! Sending you positive vibes from California!!! Good advice about times and little breaks
Hello Kathryn, thank you so much. Oh, I’m so happy you enjoyed watching. I was so happy to check the driveway off my list. 😊 I’m glad you find watching calming. Thanks for the positive vibes, I definitely appreciate them. 👊🏾
I’ve been dealing with Carpenter Bees for years. The best way to send them away is starting with a garden hose. Look for any gray nests in the patio area, since this might be why they are visiting your patio. Blast any nests that you see with the hose, set on jet setting, and also try to spray the Bees if you can. If the Bees don’t leave, purchase a can of RAID WASP AND HORNET KILLER, which can be safely sprayed up to 22 feet away from the Bees (I’ve tried cheaper brands before, but the Bees always returned until i used Raid brand!). Keep a can of this spray nearby and use it anytime you see another Carpenter Bee!!!
Hello and thank you so much for your detailed advice. I didn’t know about the hose I thought it will make them aggressive. I have an exterminator that comes quarterly I have to ask him about them the next time he comes. Have a blessed week.
Hello Nicholas, it is nice to meet you. Thank you. My brother just came back from a beautiful trip to Ireland, I would love to visit someday. Have a blessed week.
Enjoyed the video, I agree about 30-45 minutes daily is good especially if you're working or have health issues. The joy of gardening should not be lost due to exhaustion. 🌿🌱🥀
Hey Daphne, these bees, love em and hate em. Lol. Your patio is looking refreshed. It's amazing how drastic of a change a good clean down makes. I'm sorry about your planters. Have a great week as well mama. Tfs. ☺️💕
Hello Lateisha, I don’t mind normal bees just not the carpenter bees that cause damage. Thanks so much. Yes it definitely makes I big difference. Thanks so much. 🙏🏾

Upcycle the pieces from the broken pot. You can break it even more with a hammer. Then you can use the pieces to create a mosaic in stepping stones made from concrete or for a small tabletop using tile adhesive and grout on a piece of wood. There are lots of videos with the details.
Hello Namaste, thanks so much for introducing yourself. I’m so happy you enjoyed. I have a friend that left NY and moved to TX. I hear it is a very lovely state with long growing seadon. Have a blessed weekend.

Hello Yvonne, thank you so much. The large hosta by the fence and my walkway were here when we purchased our home over 13 years ago. They are lovely and huge. The hostas I planted last year were drinking gourds. Do you have hostas? Have a blessed week.
I have the same issue with Carpenter Bees..I watched a couple TY videos. It's suggested they are afraid of wasps so to resolve the issue, bundle lots of silver grocery bags then hang. To the bees, it looks like a huge wasp nest.
The porch looks great! What a bummer that your large planter broke:( May I ask where you bought that weeder tool you used to get the weeds out of the cracks? I need one of them, Lol. Thank you.

Use almond oil to repel carpenter bees. When sprayed onto wood it keeps the carpenter bees from nesting. They hate the scent of almond oil.
