I definitely wouldn't do the hostas there. Maybe the rocks and succulents fence turned out very nice and clean. I hope the Margold grows back yard looking nice

I think whatever you decide to put on the hellstrip makes sure they can withstand the heat since it is so close to the road. It may need more water than the plants closer to the house.
The only thing with digging up your hosta moving to the area out front is when people walking by with there dogs using your beautiful plants for a toilet spot
