It's basically really knowing your hair. I did a video on this maybe a couple of years ago.. But you have to know what's best for your own hair and stop following trends stop using so many products that you can't keep up.. Only feed your hair what your hair likes and most importantly,.. relaxing your hair often will cause breakage and damage in your hair! I relax my hair twice a year, June and December.. and this works for me!.. it may not work for anyone else that's reading this but it does work for me.. Thank you ever kindly God-bless you🙏🏽💞💞💞
You are so right about trimming and being real with yourself. One thing I hate to see is when someone says their hair is so long but you can see straight through the ends. Just cut it!!!!! Your hair will feel thicker and so much better.
Great tips Tam ! I don’t use rubber bands either . They’ve always broke my hair and I don’t understand how I’m relaxed and color treated but I still have low porosity hair .. but I’m learning to moisturize properly. I deep condition on Sunday and by Wednesday I moisturize again if I have in braids . And that’s it . I relax every 4 months . Number 5 hit my soul . I’ve started over 4 times because I refused to clip my ends .. 😩
Awesome relaxer tips like always ❤️ What do you suggest for those with under processed hair? My roots are completely relaxed but I don’t think I let it sit long enough because my ends still has the same texture.
You actually inspired me to go back to relaxed at the beginning of the year! I know not to put rubber bands on my hair especially with my thin strands but how do you feel about the ouchless bands? I use those for when I do buns for work.
Yess Girl I kept a good sew in or box braids. Even simple styles I could do myself like braids out/ or where my hair in two braids for a few days or something.
Hi You always look good and today you look great. I currently natural and want to relax my hair but I am worry about fibriods to grow once getting it relax. I just want to know if African pride is sensitive to scalp because i have a sensitive scalp . When I use to relax hair before I use gentle treatment . When I use this relaxer I couldnt feel the heat of the relaxer . Just wanted to know if you feel burning or heat from African pride relaxer .
@@RoRo-us3qp I use African Pride relaxer, what I do is mix some olive oil in the relaxer, just to dilute the strength of it. My roots have texture and is slightly fuller now.
@@PweetyTiffo Thank you Maria for your tips on adding olive oil to relaxer to make it less activate . When I relax my hair again I will give it a try. Have a good week and weekend god bless you.

You have have to relax those under processed parts when you do your next relaxer. But I would research unprocessed hair to make sure first.
@@tameraDeun Alright thanks love! ❤️

Wow! I hope you enjoy your relaxed journey, I love the ouchless bands I use those.
Satin covered scrunchies are the best for ponytails and buns

Can you please tell me what Do you mean Scratching you Relaxer
How much moisture your hair can handle is very important 🤗❤️
Yess it’s all about learning and knowing your own hair!
Loved your tips
How long do you stretch your relaxer?
As Long as I can.
If you don't comb your hair every day does that include not wrapping your hair at night? What do you do?
Hey love, No when your wearing your hair down you should definitely wrap it every night!
Love this video, what do you use for your ponytails? Do you think every 12 weeks for a relaxer is ok?
Hey love, yess I think 12 weeks is a great stretch! 👍🏾 I use ponytail holders preferably the ones with no metal piece on it.
@@tameraDeun Oh okay, I’m about to watch your new video now!!! And girl I’m a self relax, your giving me confidence

How should I style my newly relaxed hair that stops at the middle of my neck?
Hey love, so if you want a No Heat style do a flexi rod set or a braid out. Just make sure your set your part how you want it. 💕
When you talk about rubber bands are you referring to hair ties?
No, actually rubber bands
Stretch how long ?
Don’t use relaxers
