I’ve driven in 2 snow storms and multiple rain storms and I have yet to notice any difference between the 2, xDrive is just as good on my opinion! If not better because of the rear wheel drive bias compared to the Audi.
I just traded in my 2017 Audi S3 sedan for a 2023 bmw 330i xdrive 2 days ago.. I had traded in a 2010 bmw 335xi for that Audi s3.. I remember thinking that the interior felt much less premium for the price in the Audi.. the tech was there in the Audi (100%), the magnetic suspension thing was great.. the engine was pretty great in dynamic mode.. but the interior seats, the lack of heft to the door, the inside door panel materials, the plastic center consule was all so cheap looking. The center console had huge gaps between the area of the shift knob to the outer walls where stuff could get trapped.. After driving the the bmw around for a day yesterday I’m blown away by its quality.. the s3 in 2017 new cost around $45,000 msrp.. and the new 3 series I bought 2 days ago was 3k more.. I would go with bmw over audi.. there’s no question. The bmw 340 is priced, IMO, over the top.. the ones at the dealership were over well over $60k. Yes I miss the b55 engine that I had in my 335 but I also had MANUAL TRANSMISSION. If the 340 had a manual transmission option here in the USA; I’d fork over that extra money in a heartbeat because I absolutely love manual.. the m3 is out of my league in terms of pricing. I can’t help but say I do believe bmw and Audi have lost a lot of fans due to the loss of the manuals in the 3 series and for Audi it’s A4s and S4s. Also feels like the bmw 3 series sedan is about as wide as the 5 series of the 2000s.. it could be though just the shock of coming from the S3 which is smaller than the 3 series though.

I’m so impressed with the new 3 series I still can’t believe it’s mine.. also I live in Minnesota so I’m driving through ice and snow.. to make my last point.. I used to be a die hard fan of Audis Quattro system.. until that s3.. the abs was loud and the ride quality on the 19in rims was so bad.. I popped 6 continental extreme contacts hitting invisible potholes. That’s unheard of.. you could say it was the tires quality as the extreme contacts were known for weak sidewalls until the dsw6 plus came out.. that is a good point. But it you ever mashed even the smallest hole it felt like you killed the car.. passengers would scream.. it was seriously a rough ride.. the new 3 series is also fairly stiff even in comfort.. but it’s light years better than the S3.
Agreed, although the size difference of my 2019 A4 was virtually the same but I feel the bmw is better in so many aspects other than the fact I was able to option the 360 camera in the Audi but not in the bmw

As a BMW owner I use my signal light faithfully, I don’t think I ever seen a BMW driver not use their signal light but then again I could not have been paying attention. 😂
I had a 2018 A4 Quattro before I decided to trade it for a 2019 330 and the 330 drives way better. The suspension is amazing, the steering feels great and the engine feels solid. Overall the 330 takes the roads nicely. But, I miss the comfort of the a4… being over 6ft tall the 330 feels narrow and less room for me in general.

nice video! It's a remarkable car, I had it for a test drive and now considering to buy it. I'm only doubting the sensatec full seats or sensatec/alcantara that goes with M sport package. How is sensatec quality and does it look good/not cheap compared to vernasca? Does it breath well, since this new version is perforated. Also did you opt for adaptive M suspension or fixed and how is the comfort overall?
The sensatec quality is really good thus far, I haven't had the car in summer months yet so not to sure on how well it breathes. I did not get the adaptive suspension, but the comfort with the fixed suspension is very impressive.
The screens are very useful, functional and well...pretty. I just don't like em, gotten use to it but I just still don't like em. I don't like how these screens look like some tact on after thought by just sitting them on the dash and not being integrated into the dash. I also hate the fact that a lot of the physical buttons are gone, and that ridiculous toggle of a shifter is just weird, I can't get use to it. It does free up some room in the center there I guess. Too me this car, should have integrated screens not some tact on monitors. It just doesn't sit well with the status or persona of this vehicle. Just my opinion which holds no weight. So congrats man glad you are loving your car as you should.
I agree with you 100% regarding the integration on the screen and the removal of the physical climate control buttons, they could have done much better better job in that aspect, but I actually think the toggle shifter is much easier to use when maneuvering the vehicle around, although losing the ability to shift it manually from the gear selector is a downfall. I also really enjoy the screen and it’s capabilities compared to the previous generation, it’s unfortunately the direction all car manufacturers are heading towards and BMW is just following suit!

Random question but does your vehicle have puddle lights underneath the doors when you open them? Awaiting my vehicle for sometime in February. There has been some talk about the lights missing. Also do you have hands free kick option for trunk? Great videos.
Yes I have the carpet light which projects from the bottom of the side sills, and yes I have the kick hands free trunk feature! Congratulations on your car!!
@@thenew330ithe puddle lights I am referring to are lights on the bottom of the door panels when the door is opened. These are different from the welcome carpet lights. Wanted to get the M Sport projection filters but some online forums state new orders have been missing those lights.

My 2020 330 G20 just started creaking on the silver steering wheel trim at 21k miles. Anytime I put any type of pressure no matter how light including turning the wheel it creaks😫😭 It sounds like it’s the silver trim piece around the cruise control and volume buttons are the culprit of my issue.
I just got a 2023 bmw 330 a month ago white with Tacora red, and I do NOT have a purple ambient lighting setting in my car but I have green and other colors, did you get purple from an update to the system, why is my car not letting me have purple ambient lights?

Absolutely, and the B48 is definitely pretty reliable considering I haven't heard of any issues in the pre-lci as of yet. I'm very happy with the fuel consumption and the low-down torque. It's a perfect engine as an everyday driver.
i have a 430i and a cls450, the bmw is not built better than the benz. There are way more squeaks and rattles in the bmw BUT still not as much as a honda or lower level car. Both luxurious
I was comparing the 2023 BMW 330i to the 2023 Mercedes C300. There were substantially more creeks in the Mercedes compared to the BMW. The older models may be different.
I think they are made in Mexico , I seen a few with gaps or not tight enough engined components like charge pipe I have 2022 type S and 2017 s4 quality way better ,but still like b58 a lot
I mainly drive in Sport Individual mode with all the settings set to comfort; I like the red gauges, the picture of my car animation in the display with the horsepower and torque figures and it turns off the auto-start stop in one button!

Ah makes sense. I live in california so AWD is more of a luxury than a necessity. There are not many xDrive 330s at the dealer so it would be hard to find one with the specs i want. Thanks for replying, your car seems really nice.
I have the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C300. I like my car's interior better, but I think the 3 series has a nicer exterior and I'm sure it probably drives better too.

I had put my dashcam at the same place, but I thought it would mess up the auto-dimming function cuz it blocks the sensor in front of the mirror

Hey man I just purchased a 22 330i msport in portifino blue! how did you wire in your dash cam? Did you wire it in directly into the fuse box?
Nope! I pressed the wires underneath the roofliner, then into the door sill water guards, then underneath the glove box, into the 12V.

Always lease a bimmer. The depreciation is highest in the first 3 years and maintenance is a pain after the first 3 years

Quattro is way better. It’s the best awd or 4wd you can get. The only car brand that gives Audi a run for its money is Subaru with their awd.

Screens look stuck onto the dash, one would know they are an afterthought. Terrible that BMW would do this.
