Elvis was the best friend i ever had in my life we met when i was a teenager he only wanted a real true friend that didn't want anything from him. We were friends for 10 yrs. up until his death he asked nothing of me and i asked nothing of him. Elvis didn't make friend easily because he knew people just wanted something from him. i will love and miss my friend always and forever i walk past Graceland everyday sometimes i go in they know me there lol... fyi Parker was a user and i told that snake many times how much i hated him Parker did not care about Elvis all Elvis was to Parker was a means to an end to line his pockets with money. Dr. Nick was no better than Tom all about money.. the last concert Elvis did was done against his will he told the snake he didn't want to do it he was so sick he didn't want anyone to see him that way but as usual Tom didn't give a shit. I still to this day blame Parker and Dr. Nick for all of it all they had to do was say no and they didn't. Elvis was not held back by Parker he drove him like a mule and that is why he died. No human being could keep up the pace Elvis did under Parker's rules without cracking under the pressure Elvis was a flesh and blood man. He was not a super hero like most fans made him out to be Elvis knew he was dying for some time a few days before his death we had a short conversation. He said kiddo everything will be ok and i said no E. nothing will ever be ok again. That was the last day i saw my friend alive. The funeral was a blur and that day was one of the most heart breaking day of my life. I will love and miss E. always. Fyi as far as the movie i will never lay eyes on it ever Elvis was one of a kind and will never ever be duplicated. the actor that played Elvis looked more like Andrew dice Clay than Elvis. Great reaction love from Memphis Tn.
I absolutely love your reaction to this. I know I’m late but I’m chronically ill on and off, but I was watching some others and yours is so authentic. I’m going to check your playlists. Thanks sooo very much. ❤❤😊😊❤
Elvis could express in depth - genuine, somber and filled with void for the loss, yes Elvis could bring us to that level of intensity with his gift, with his delivery of feelings we all have felt one time in our life. Thank you for discovering his unique voice and continue to enjoy sharing your thoughts.
I am 56 years old I was seven years old when I saw this concert from Hawaii this was the first concert televised around the world ever and I saw Elvis sing my jaw dropped I’ve never seen an entertainer or a singer or the presence he has for the charisma I was hooked he is my idol God bless Elvis
Elvis's live performances unlike most artists, was even better than his studio recorded songs. He loved people and in a live performance, he fed off that love he could feel, and he reciprocated it. That is why he was a great entertainer.
Actually, this was the rehersal concert, held a couple days before the televised event. The easiest way to tell, is he got a hair cut between the two shows. He was not happy how his hair looked, in this, the rehersal show.
I was going on 6 when I watched the in 1973. Never heard of him or saw him that I can remember .. other than this concert. I was laying on the floor of my grandmama's living room floor watching. I do remember she kicked me in my side.. she was a mean lady. But Elvis, he was pure magic.
Great choice also check out the "rehearsal" version!! Amazing!! ❤Being from the south myself, being a fan since a very young age seeing these reactions have a special meaning!! Thank you and please keep bringing these Elvis videos!!
… Elvis was the first and the best! ... A millennium singer for eternity ... His performance in Hawaii in 1973 via satellite was the biggest event in music history of the last century! ✨💎✨🕺🏻🕯 Thank you
Elvis was, is and will ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! Elvis could sing the pone book and make it good. Sing a recipe and make you hungry. Before Elvis there was NOTHING!!!!!!!! Live no auto tune no pitch correction just pure perfection. When Elvis walked on stage he owned it. Power, smooth and emotion in every word. NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE will ever compare.
This song truly demonstrates that Elvis could go from 1 to 1000 on the power scale faster than most people can blink. This is not just one of his best songs. It's one of the best songs.
There’s a reason Elvis is still Relevant today. He influenced so many artists. I sent him a 1976 and I’ve been to Graceland seven times. I was 16 when he passed away and totally devastated. He means so much to so many.
Elvis looking ever so fine from head to toe , this man can make it you feel it deep down in your heart and soul ,and those vocals at the end WOW I think he shook up the whole stage
His Gospel, Blues, were unreal! Dancing out of this world. Check out out How Great thou art , blue suit, 72 in Vagas, 68 special trying to get back to you. Polk salad Annie, live Vagas white suit chins across front either 72 or 77.
His songs are just so damn real. I absolutely love the way so many of his songs build. The tension builds slowly and then he lets it rip and I cant help but get chills. Songs today?????? suck.
The movie is awesome!!!!! Hope you see it soon. Elvis was such a wonderful man. He suffered so many tragedies in his life. He never stopped caring for his fans. Love you Elvis ❤❤❤
ELVIS could have been an Opera Singer...and he would have been WONDERFUL!!! I have always loved this song! The music almost sounds like a Marching Band! Thank God that ELVIS did NOT become an Opera Singer; because we would have missed his other talents!!! Between his beauty, his unbelievable talent, his charisma, and his deep belief in GOD....We got to see the energetic "ROCK and ROLL"
Oh young man that is true for some people but not for all, I was a lot like Elvis it didn't happen for me, family means everything there's some people, I've been dead since 1987.
When Elvis died, people did care. Here in Australia, fans couldn't believe it. When my friend Bronne heard "the king of rock'n'roll is dead" she yelled out: "WHAT?????" She's with Elvis now, since she died in 2017. "Always On My Mind" was the opening song at her funeral.
What a voice!!! Elvis is a supernatural being, sent to Earth to bring a message of Love and Faith in Gd. We love you Elvis Aharon Presley! You sing with Angels now , you sing the Praise of your Creator.
He's basically nearly doing opera singing here near the end. I didn't like this kind of stuff when I was young cuz I only liked his early rockabilly stuff but the older I get and the more years I have played in bands including covering some of his songs, the more I really appreciate this older stuff as well. Especially the live performances. It's just one amazing performance after the other. Glad you are reacting to this stuff. You mentioned If I Can Dream but I don't see it in the playlist so I'm thinking maybe it never got unblocked. That's too bad.
Thanks for your reaction, the movie is a must, you will learn a lot about him that you did not know. I was a fan since the 50's, the movie is pretty accurate, Elvis took a lot of crap when he started, that's the way it was back then. I appreciate that you are giving him a fair shake. Be Blessed.
Thank you for your page and you are doing a fantastic job, while I wish you much continued success!!! Additionally, as a musicologist, I've come to the conclusion that Elvis Presley has the greatest singing voice in music history, period, and I've come to this conclusion with no small amount of, and actually decades worth of, study. And, keeping in mind that these types of things are always subjective which is fine - there are nonetheless many objective factors that could be used to support my conclusion. As he was a full-lyric baritone, and his voice has unmatched versatility from what I have heard. As the most amazing aspect of his singing is that he could make his voice adopt different timbres required for every genre. As such, he could sing country music, rock’n’roll, traditional pop music, folk, soul, jazz, and even opera, along with other genres - such as gospel - where he has also sold more sacred spiritual music than anyone. In that vein, also, one thing which was consistent in his later vocal style was that he often kept that gospel influence in his deliveries. While when younger, he was as smooth as he could be raw. But he was also an incredibly polished singer as in his later years, he sometimes dropped the rawness, although, there was often gravel in his voice when he performed soulfully. Always having a brilliant style of delivery, whatever the genre, yet at the same time, great technical prowess with a range nearing 3 octaves when the average pop star has 1. He stated, too, that his main influence was Fats Domino - who Elvis called the King of Rock N Roll - and he was a big fan of Sister Rosetta Tharpe, as well. Yet the rawness in his voice showed he may have been inspired by other blues singers alike, yet he was a fan too, of all music, and it showed. Inasmuch as even Pavarotti has said that Elvis could hit open full throttled high Cs that would make an opera singer stop and look on with envy. (Ie. See Elvis' live version of 'Hurt' only six weeks or so before he died)
At this point Elvis was beset with illness and addiction. When fatigued , as in this performance, he would sing through his nose a bit. Regardless of all that, he pulled off his virtuoso operatic range in the end. Legend.
I've seen the movie 6 times with 4 more viewings scheduled with friends ... each time I go , I discover new bits I missed before ! You must see it ... it's stunning ! Austin Butler embodies the spirit of Elvis ! There's much more to Elvis than is shown in this movie but this will give you insight to the man . Elvis was always pushing forward ... TCB forever !
Great movie I watched at the theater and bought it seen it 100 Times unbelievable. 45 years later and this gift from God is back nobody compares to this man .

The movie was great. But don’t watch it looking for facts, because it’s very inaccurate. It does a great job of capturing the essence of the man. But even at that, it could have gone a little deeper. I recommend the movie. Just don’t expect to know what you wanna know by watching it except that he was a great dude, cared about people, and was the most beloved entertainer of all time.
the movie was good however it did not show elvis great sense of humor or his incredable generosity and had a lit of made up stuff it also left out linda Thompson a big part of his life I am glad a new generation is being introduced to the greatest most talented humble entertained then now and forever our 1 and only king
