Another great show. Anyone fortunate enough to have been gifted personal items by Elvis, such as those blue suede shoes, sold them for life changing sums of money in many instances. Such is the allure of the man!
Some people invest in Gold or in BitCoin..., but if I had the money I would invest in Elvis's personal belongings. The interest rate is much higher !!! ;-).

I’m reminded of how saddened poor Elvis was emotionally at going into the Army. The photo you showed at the start of your show is just so hard to see bc you can tell, the poor man is close to breaking down. He’s finding it so hard to smile. I recall hearing that there were times when he was overheard crying at night. It must have been so hard on him and others being away from home.

I agree Colin with what you wrote. But I think by the time he went into the army Elvis had noticed Gladys's poor condition. Maybe he actually knew deep in his heart that she was going to die soon. He lived in the same house with her and he saw her health deteriorate every day. I think he didn't care about being away from home, but rather it was a case of him not wanting to be far from his mother who he knew was not well. But like you say..., a sad situation.

Hi Piers! First of all thanks for putting my video on your site. And second that 50th anniversary reunion screams for a documentary! That group of people where there when Elvis sang "Can't help falling in love" as his last song ever. If I was a documentary maker I would be there to tape it on June 26, 2027, and have it broadcasted on August 16, 2027.

Another great report... My Landlord told me awhile back that he had a friend that served in the army at the same time as Elvis. And he said that Elvis would sing in his barracks quite often & it was the buzz at the time for the soldiers ... As always RIP on August 16th for the greatest of all times & it so happened to be my sister's birthday, so bitter sweet day . Thanks again for your exceptional updates😀

Nunca los he visto interesados en las subastas, incluso cuando fue subastado el bello traje llamado "Pavo Real" les fue sugerido que lo compraran y la verdad hicieron caso omiso. I haven't got the answer to that, but can you send me the link that shows that Elvis's army boots were a size 12?
It is not that I don't take your word for it, but if it is supported with some evidence than it is worth investigating.
I could for instance write to Graceland and ask for Elvis's shoe size.
