wow! not heard this version before ... sounds almost live. tempo is much faster sounds like a real (less than tight) bass line and the vowel sample solo is replaced by a piano solo.

@@liquidninja6654 Not sure, but they did have to re-record the songs in those days due to union rules.
@@ajs41 read that they did just that (he had a cold but nailed it anyway).
I used to have a 'keep music live' badge on my collar, never been in a union but feel that I helped make this happen (in a small way).
If this was the audio version that went out live on TOTP's ( rather than the one used on the other video when charting at no.2 ) that will almost certainly have slowed sales which could be why it was several weeks top 3 ( and 17th single of year ) but not no 1.

totally agree, even the way the chick is smiling away unknowing how stupid she looks. I grew up in the 80's and, looking back now, a lot of the music was rubbish! It's amazing what you can get young people to do for money!!! To be cool it's best not to take part in any of it!!

@@PeterPete This is one of the greatest songs of all time in my opinion. This version isn't the studio version, it sounds a bit weird, because it's been re-recorded for Top of the Pops.
