@trv 1Z Really? I had no idea that there was a shorts contest. I assumed that it was picked up to pair along with Adventure Time, which I heard that was picked up to go with the Chowder/Flapjack pairing, which was ironic because that was superseded by the Adventure Time Regular Show Dynamic, which a drawback to that is that since The former was more popular the executives apparently assumed that The latter only piggybacked off of the formers success, so then and now whenever there’s a multicrossover I P promotional thing, they’ll usually include Adventure Time but Exclude Regular Show.
I love this song, I hum it all the time. And for all those wondering why this didn't become a series, it was either this or Regular Show, so...
AND REGULAR SHOW WON... WHAT. Regular Show is fun and all, but this thing has charm.

I know, but at the time CN was passing through a lot. They were in that phase when they were they made really stupid decisions and then cancelled a ton of shows. If the guys would show this pilot now it would totally become a series

This short was produced in 2009 but was never released because the Cartoonistitute idea was scrapped.
I remember 3 Dog Band coming out in 2001. But Wikipedia claims it's 2010. It looks a lot older than it is

And why on Earth wasn't this made into a series I and many other people would have enjoyed this. Cartoon Network sold out.

I wouldn't say sold out. More like they got stupid in their decisions. Canceling shows like sym bionic, thundercats 2011, young justice and such and replacing them with really really dumbed down shows like Clarence for example got ppl hating them. Shows that still appeal to kids but with good story like early Ben 10 shows got dumbed down and same a little bit to regular show and adventure time. Steven universe was great and went on a long as hiatus and now it mildly got the dumbed down treatment. Cn is losing ppls trust who enjoyed their shows form 90s to 2012 because of the dumb choices and calls they make.

The way this show is drawn reminds me of Class of 3000(another CN show that didnt last long) It is possible that this will end up a show on some channel or another. As for CN as a channel some of the new shows are actually pretty decent steven universe and adventure time are cool once you get a few episodes in, yeah we miss the classics but i wouldnt count out all the new stuff as bad
They need to cancel Uncle Grandpa and give us this instead. And cancel Teen Titans Go and give us Lakewood Plaza Turbo.

Why on god's green earth hasn't this show been made into a series. I really believe that people have no taste this show is classic, creative, cool, colorful. I rather watch this than some of the shows they allowed like Clarence and many more I don't like those shows they are annoying to me personally

I think this wasn't made into a cartoon because of some "risky" jokes (like when those two girls butt smash that guy). I mean, when did this pilot aired? 2008, right? I feel like in that time Cartoon Network wasn't whiling to accept a cartoon that could appeal for both children and adults. If they pitched this pilot now they could totally make this into a series.

Anab Samatar Isn't regular show more recent? And they obviously toned down the concept of regular show when they showed it to CN. Do you think that Regular Show would become a Cartoon Network show if it was like those college shorts that the creator made? They clearly changed a lot.
TheHenriGame Doesn't change the fact that its still very risque. It IS the networks attempt to appeal to teenagers and young adults while still being child friendly. There's also adventure time and steven universe which can get pretty adult with their jokes and stories.

Maybe it doesn't change THAT fact, however there is still the point that this is from 2008 (I think) and the CN from that time didn't give a fuck about teenagers. And even now Cartoon Network censors a lot of stuff in regular show and adventure time. So yeah, I think that the adult jokes were a bigger reason than the accent (specially because they could easily change the voice actors).
CN should have greenlit this, But instead... They chose to do more Ben 10 crap!

Hey I love this as much as the next guy, but where would they go with this? I mean, it's cute but there is no real story to go off of. It's best as a short, but it could be in a good mini series format.

They could have episodes not specifically relating to being a band, while at the same time having opportunities for episodes relating to bands. Going on tour, trying to get new members, trying new instruments, choosing a new lead singer, breaking up, there's lots of potential here.
