    The best part about your videos is that you review products that I can buy at an auto parts store and they're geared toward Joe Average and some professionals.

    I bought this and I’m very happy. I used turtle wax ceramic spray 2 washes ago and it’s still got beading action. I’ve used it heavy and light. If the car is super dirty then stripping wax isn’t a big deal to me now that I use spray wax.

    It's great as a wheel cleaner in a spray bottle. Mix it about a 5 to 1 ratio and work in small areas, always rinsing it off before moving to another area. It really seems to brighten polished metal wheels and loosens brakedust to wipe away easily with very little work.

      Chemical guys Diablo wheel cleaner and their brushes make wheels look brand new. I havnt tried this out yet for cleaning the wheels other than foaming and spraying it iff but this did a great job with most of the nasty shit. I'm just used to using chemical guys for the heavy shit

    I'm no pro detailer so I don't know what product is top of the line but I found this to work well. I went in between the aggressive and extreme to get some decent lubricity. When just going aggressive, I found it to be too watery.
    I hope this helps someone out.

  • @averagedetailer9908

    When I detail a car I will use a soap that will take off road film and old wax, I will also use a paint prep as well, weather an IPA water mix or what have you to get a virgin clear coat for the polish and wax, or my 1 step method. I think I am going to purple power for a while. I really like Scotts honesty and transparency, it is refreshing to see.

    Reread the bottle. It says not to dilute it into the foam cannon. I use it all the time and it foams amazing and works great at removing everything from my cars

    • @paulr5027
      @paulr5027 2 года назад

      Hiya. Glad I found this. Was worried when I put it in straight in foam cannon. I figured it dilutes when spraying, one I just did, left tons of spots, thought I screwed up the paint!!

    • @ViaticalGenie4
      @ViaticalGenie4 2 года назад +1

      @@paulr5027 yeah you have to read every single different type of soaps instructions. Some are ready straight out if the bottle for a foam sprayer while others have to be diluted first evem with the foam sprayer diluting it. Gotta also play around with the dilution on most bc their instructions aren't always perfect with every foam sprayer.

    Just picked some up and used 9 ounces in a gallon spraying it from the pressure washer.
    I can see where you say it's thin and doesn't have great lubricity. Appreciate knowing this.
    As I will probably only use it before a paint correction or fresh sealant.
    Or in spray bottles to prep rims, or areas with bugs and tar.

    I think I'm washing a car differently to many detailers. I don't use a TFR shampoo, I use a concentrated form like GUNK TFR and dilute and decant into a 7Ltr spray bottle and go around spraying the lower half and skirts of the car. I'll leave it for 3-5 minutes and then pressure rinse it off before snowfoaming or bucket-washing with regular shampoo like Bilt Hamber, TWMW, or Meguiars Classic. Comes out fine every time so far.
    Some interesting remarks about using TWMW as a wheel cleaner, so I'll give that a whirl. Cheers, Scott.

    For paint correction, I use PP vehicle and boat wash as a foam soak in my cannon and then bucket wash with 9 ozs of TW Max Power. Strips it to the clear coat every time.

    Informative as usual Scott. Purple Power also makes a soap called Prime Shine. Tested ph with litmus test strips and it's base is almost, if not as high as PP Boat and Vehicle Wash. (Prime Shine is about 9.5 or 10 on scale, where BnVW is around 10...almost 11). The ONLY difference I could see is Prime Shine leaves a shinier finish and produces more suds out of foam cannon. Prime Shine cleans really well. Between pressure washer and foam, it even removes light brake dust well enough that I haven't need to use wheel cleaner. If you can get your hands on some Scott, try it out.

    I just found your channel today. Definitely subscribing. I love your "no BS approach" in a world of snake oil. I was wondering if you could do a video about the turtle wax ice synthetic wax? I saw in the "20 way ceramic ..." Video on RUclips that the turtle wax ice last incredibly long for what it is. It also doesn't leave white residue unlike other traditional waxes. I also picked up a gallon of meguars synthetic spray wax from Amazon and it's pretty awesome stuff so far, and appears to be nearly identical to the turtle product. Let me know if you can't find that video.

    Hi Scott, can you please suggest what could be done on a dried up ceramic coating horribly done. I have a brand new truck 2018 midnight edition duramax which is 4 days old and has 75 miles on it. I messed up the ceramic coating and let it dry too much before I cleaned it up. It's on all of the outside of the truck bed. Luckily I only messed up half of the truck right. ;) I tried sanding it with 2000 grit but leaves a lot of smear and scratches. Is there any other easier way to easily take it off? It's a 9h ceramic.

    So Turtle Wax Max Power at 9 ounces for gallon dilution is stronger than Purple Power for stripping wax and sealants. But Purple Power is better for removing traffic film. So if I want to clean and strip wax and sealants before I clan and apply a base sealant like Meguair's Fast Finish or DPC Armor, I can
    1) Wash with Purple Power to remove traffic film and other surface dirt
    2) then Wash with Turtle Wax Max Power (which is cheap compared to other paint preps like Dupli-Color Paint Prep).
    3) Then I can clay using diluted WOLFGANG CONCOURS SERIES Uber Rinse Less Wash as a lubricant.
    4) then apply a sealant like Meguair’s Fast Finish or DPC Armor.

    Why would you want to remove your waxes and sealants for routine washing? I would think you want those to stay on the car as long as possible. Reason being you will wash your car more often than you you will seal it or wax, especially if using a synthetic wax. You will probably be washing once every 2-3 weeks, waxing every 2-3 months and sealing every 6-8 months. The only time you might want to remove them is when you clay the car perhaps once a year. For routine washing, it would probably be best to use a carnuba wash to maintain that shine you worked so hard to seal in with sealant, and enhance with wax. You wouldnt want to strip that away and have to seal and wax again after every wash.

    Hi Scott. I can understand the confusion. The routine I feel you recommend was wash the car(Blue Coral good weather / Purple Power rainy weather), dry the car, then use Meg's fast finish. If I do this weekly or every other then neither soap will remove the fast finish so why apply right back over? Or was that for your customers that you see more than 30 days ?

    Hey Scott. I have something for you to try out, I took one gallon of the purple power RV and Boat Wash and two bottles of the max power soap and mixed them. It wasn’t too bad and still cheap. I mixed it all in a 5 gallon bucket and poured it back into each container after mixed. I also used the empty TW bottles to drain spray bottles onto that are basically empty but you can still tell a little is left. I try to minimize the amount of chemicals I toss out.

    I bought this stuff but is all about marketing, even the color of the soap this flashing atractive green looks like is going to leave your car like it was new by magic

    These stuff are garbage, worst product I ever bought for my car. It leaves a white color stain after washing the car. I hate it so much I'm thinking about throwing it right back to the park with a loose cap, here keep the $4 dollar garbage as crap son.

    Complete waste of time and money. Add and ounce or two of APC or degreaser to ANY soap for a strip wash/tfr wash. This whole traffic film removal theory is more industry hype. Foam cannons are the best way to waste money on product. Keep it simple people. Rinseless wash, paint prep or ipa, clay bar, seal/wax

    • @vincentvalentine9417
      @vincentvalentine9417 6 лет назад +7

      That is completely misleading because the term APC is a huge variety of different things. Everything to a basic alcohol based simple green to something like purple power. So thanks for showing your knowledge so we know to disregard everything else you said.

      Vincent Valentine, it matters not all the same. You've missed the point exactly. The point is to remove wax sealant and or traffic film in the most economical way

      To me, I would think since most of the traffic film is on top of the wax or sealant, that the best way to remove the traffic film it to remove the sealant or wax. If you really want to strip it down fast and efficiently, use a hand pump sprayer with 1:1 degreaser and spray the car. By the time you get around the whole car it’s probably ready to soap up the car however you wish.

    Are people paying you to review their products? I watch a lot of detailing videos and it seems more like you and other detailers are reviewing products to gain money rather than to tell the beginning detail the best product to use.

      perhaps i haven't explained it well and I'm sorry...no traffic film remover soap can remove a fresh wax within 30 DAYS..after 30 days purple power will remove the wax without paint prep and it has better cleaning ability than turtle wax and better lubrication..i didn't mean to lose you and i would not use this soap all the time and prefer purple power so I'm not sure how i lost you?...so sorry my friend:)

      Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing you are right Scott but in the next few months you'll be saying something completely different from now. I get it... your testing and learning new things as you go. Learning never ends. It just makes me upset and makes me feel now I need to return purple power wash and get turtle wax soap instead. I've gotten quite a few items you've recommended as I'm sure we all have but your turning into a salesman now. Maybe you've found an art that your good at? I get it there your opinions expressed but I'm sure we all rely on your understanding and wisdom after doing it so many years I definitely trust you.

      i think you both lost the point..i said purple power has better lubrication and better traffic film removing ability, but this turtle wax can remove wax a LITTLE better but it comes with lack of lubrication and lack of cleaning power so i wouldn't pick this soap over purple power...i think you both lost the point and i said i wouldn't use this unless i was going to do paint correction but i don't feel the same about purple power...im not really sure how i could explain it better and I'm so sorry if i confused you both
