Welcome to The Weekly Spinner Rack where we talk about the past week's biggest comic book news and give short reviews of the latest comic books.
This week the news includes Marvel ending their current Star Wars run, Zeb Wells and John Romita, Jr. leaving Amazing Spider-Man, the possibility of DC Comics releasing ashcans of their new Absolute line at SDCC, popular manga announcing its final chapter comes this summer, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke announcing one comic book twist the show will NOT include, and so much more.
Comics to look at include Destro #1, World's Finest #28, Helen of Wyndhorn #3, Ultimate Spider-Man #6, TMNT: The Last Ronin: Re-Evolution #2, and much more.

Talking of digital art early days, the pixel art in Japan game developers in the 80s: not only the digital stylus didn't exist , PCs weren't that easy to come by in Japan apparently. So some of the artists at SNK, Capcom,Taito,etc. were drawing a lot high quality art not only by mouse, but they had a lot of repurposed old arcade machines used for creating the games, so those guys were drawing with a joystick! Completely bonkers!

Muhammid Ali-Supes cover laid out (actually drawn, originally) by Joe Kubert. Ali didn't like Kubert, so Adams drew the cover, closely following Kubert layout.

History of ashcans is a genius idea! I thought they only came about in the 90s as promo material during the flood of new comics. I guess I am mistaken. :)

It's been a tough few years for all of us I think. I haven't been in the greatest space, and just took a few days off. I didn't do anything crazy, but it was just what I needed for a soft mental reset.

Maybe even a non saga related series.
