Would you be able to make more reviews of smart rings? Oura 4, Ultrahuman, Ringconn...? Love everything you do and can't seem to make myself buy anything you haven't tested yet 😅
It's crazy that they don't have good health and sleep tracking, considering they basically own Korea. They have everything from hispotals to clothing brands, and should have been able to do very good sleep and health studies for their wearables.
Excellent Rob, with your vast data repository, it's great to see devices compared by category. I wonder if you might consider when reviewing a new device mentioning if it has the ability to pair an external HR monitor to it. I don't mind a wrist monitor for work and home, but wouldn't mind a chest-strap or other for exercise. Just few watches support it outside of more expensive models.
It would be great to get not only a list of which ones can pair, but also how well the pairing works. It's hard to even find which ones have the feature, much less any information about how well they work.
Really Nice summary of watches ! I’m a long time Apple Watch user that made the switch to Garmin fenix 8. I wanted more indebted fitness data. I use it with a chest strap, works great! I can’t wait till the fenix 8 and enduro review comes out! I really love this watch. Thanks for this great review
Really good figures in this video. And I did really like the part with the bike ride outside, it adds like a more natural touch and loosen up the video
Love your videos, especially the summaries like this one! Your videos are the perfect guide for choosing a smartwatch that meets everyone's needs, as specific as they can get. When I wanted a smartwatch, I was looking into the pixel watch, but I didn't really like the design, so I choose a garmin fenix and i'm very happy with it! I'm a big fan of the garmin ecosystem and couldn't go without it anymore.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting the effort in and making this video, it’s truly helpful in the maze of watches and trackers. I think my main takeaway is that for someone lile myseld who only really cares about accuracy of heart-rate monitoring and only does workouts on treadmills, tennis courts and the gym is just stick with the Polar H10 and spend the money on something else. Or, get whatever’s compatible with the chest strap for easy visualization on the wrist that inspires you and is affordable.
I like my Venu 3. Not great at tracking sleep, but seems directionally helpful. GPS tracking for walks and bike rides is great. Favorite thing is battery life. Still happy with it after about a year.
i was in market to get my first smartwatch with main purpose as sport tracker and got huawei watch fit 3 for 100$. apart from sleep tracking i am really satisfied with it and thank you for making best videos on fitness trackers
Thanks for all your work. Would be nice to see the Suunto Race S on your channel. The HR sensor got a lot better over the other Suunto watches and I think they have a couple of nice ideas in their software...
These videos are amazing man! Thank you for that. As a suggestion, just out of fun, you could test the Casio G-shock that have heart rate tracking, like the DW-H5600-1 , just to see how they compare with the big boys!
Absolutely phenomenal compilation! One thing I noticed is that in the larger scientific sleep study, some of the devices are quite old (2-3 generations at least!) which would make a huge difference. Would love to see some more up-to-date studies like this, until then, your personal studies will have to suffice 😉 thanks for all you do!
Thanks for this video, I'm currently using the Fitbit Versa 4 for a while and thought I should upgrade but it looks like there isn't really a better option considering sleep, heart rate and battery life. Saved me some money 👍
Hi. I think your approach is the most scientific way of testing on youtube. I just think the results might shift a little bit with more (enough) samples.
Just got my AWU gen 1 used for $400. Still has 100% battery health and works really well. I wish I had kept my S8 though for sleep tracking since it was a lot more comfortable than the AWU.
I really like your videos and I only watch your videos if I want to know about the performance of any health tracking device. I bought Fitbit charge 6 because it’s very cheap and minimalist and has great accuracy.
I don’t know if this would be too difficult for you to test, but I would be very interested in seeing how these watches perform in swimming, especially for heart rate. I swim with an Apple Watch Series 7 a lot, and I’m curious to see how it compares with other watches or with a chest strap.
Thank you for your work and data and info about wearable :) very good job. I have only one desire for christmas, i wrote in the Santa's letter: you definitely have to review MORE watches. He has to send you some assistants or a few Umpa Lumpa... It is a pity cannot make comparison due to the lack of your testing. Another little thing is that would be super if the review could be updated after a watch firmware update, but probably if watch is not new, difference is not so noticeable. So, i really hope your work and subscrivers could improve and grow :) Thanks again
You've earned an immediate sub: great content! I know it'd be a lot to ask, but is there any way to download all your test results so far (heart rate correlation agreement per sport, worse sleep stage percentage agreement, average of 3 or 4 stages percentage agreement, ...) in an Excel format for all models you tested up until now? I'm currently looking for the best all around wearable to assist my training and health tracking, but I would like to determine the gadget with the best overall average scoring throughout all the features you usually display in your videos. No matter the response, thank you for the outstanding content and keep up the good work!
@TheQuantifiedScientist After two indecisive months ‘what the buy’, i found your video's: Whoohaa!!! Thank you for your insights. One question though: i will use the wearable mainly in the pool and open water. Are you aware of any comparable research on swimming? I mean on your professional level? All other ‘tests’ seem to be either feature driven or a commercial vehicle in themselves. I like the data driven approach you offer.
Hey, the videos are great! I know it might not seem like it's worth your time, but have you thought about testing older devices again? I just tested the Galaxy Watch 6 and 7, and they gave almost the same readings. This makes me think that the heart rate sensors can't be that inaccurate. I'd love to see more than just the "release day" tests, but I understand that those are the most important for you.
I would be interested in knowing how the Withings scanwatch models perform in comparison to the smartwatches. What i personally don't like about it is, that it does not tell you how much REM sleep or deep sleep you had (it sums it up and just gives you that number). Great Video!
Rob I'd really like you to find a way to factor in when a watch drops out the HR readings and show what percentage of the time that is happening and add it into your evaluations for HR. Additionally you've seen a lot of variation depending upon the strap. I'd like to see you measure the same watches with different straps to see how that can improve or worsen results. I suspect if you had a Garmin Watch with a sport loop type band on it, you'd be in for a few surprises. There are videos out there showing you can remove the stock bands on Forerunner watches and make them able to be swapped.
Is a longer review for the galaxy ring coming? And can you test out how the heartrate and sleep tracking changes if you use both the galaxy watch ultra and ring together? Samsung says that that will make it track better.
Great video. Just discovered your channel. Great approach to the topic. One question: I saw other videos where they showed AW (or AWU?!) was clearly smoothing GPS signals, like cutting corners. Seemed they were always mapped to paths. So if the tester went off track the watch wasn't following. Couldn't see this on your data. Is it setting specific? I for myself are Android and Garmin user for a long time already.
thank you for your hard work, always like and comment for this channel to grow ! any plans of reviewing the ringconn gen 2 ring ? i have it for a month already, seems quite good
Great videos! But I wonder why you don't review Suunto watches, which is also a major player on the market and direct competitor to Garmin/Polar. For instance, Suunto Race seems to be rather popular and in terms of features pretty close to Garmin 965, but much more affordable.
Have you ever tested the CMF Watch pro 2? It seems really interesting because of the low price but according to the product page it also promises a few functions so would be very interesting if it can be trusted. Love your videos and would love your professional opinion on it.
Hello, I’m looking primarily for a sleeping & running tracker. I have an iPhone but would prefer a Wearable without a screen or a very small one such as the FitBit or Whoop Band. Which one would you recommend? I would like to have quality statistics measured and a good battery life. I thought about Xiaomi or Huawei but they are not good enough I guess.
Thank you so much for this. Just bought a smartwatch for my mom and you helped greatly in my decisions. Any chance you will test out the Ringconn Gen 2? I like the Oura RIng, but I just can't justify the subscription (despite Whoop 4 costing $30 bucks per month lol).
Hey, I’m looking to buy a fitness watch primarily focused on sleep tracking and recovery, as I lift weights six times a week. I find the monthly subscriptions for devices like Whoop and Oura a bit intimidating, so I’d prefer a one-time purchase with no ongoing fees. Which fitness tracker or watch would you recommend for my needs?
Maybe you will read that... What devices would you recommend for health monitoring but NOT sports focuses? I am talking about, devices for people with (mild) heart conditions. Who want to track their heart rates, do EKGs, and just everyday wearing? (With warnings for irregularities) I am not taking about, replacement of regular visits to a proper doctor but, a way to produce additional data)
Hey Rob! Are you using the fitbit premium subscription? I'm wondering which cheap fitness band device will give me the best split between accuracy and analytics features and seems like the charge 6 does well but requires a sub for sleep details
Hi Quantified Scientist! Would you be so kind and do a comparative analysis of all of the most popular smart rings - Oura, Ultrahuman Ring etc. It seems that this is a burning topic for so many people outhere and everyone would like to hear your opinions. I hope your channel is not only pro Oura and that you will do for us, your faithful subscribers and followers a favour. Ps I myself do wear and use Oura Ring 4.
I follow you from Spain and I love your content. Is there any device (other than Apple) that you recommend for use only for weight training? I have a GT2, which is not very accurate in the gym and I want to upgrade it. Thanks!
Would you mind to do a review on both Ringconn 2 and Ultrahuman Ring Air? I think the ring form factor is the way to go especially for sleep tracking, but I despise the subscription model of Oura.
Hey, is therer any reason why there werent any Huawei Watch Fit 2 or 3 were in Heart Rate trecking? They seem very affordable and the tests on your channel were a lot better then the ones for the Fitbit Charge 6 or Band 9
Hey Rob, you've been promising a review about the T-Rex 3 for a while now. Any idea when you might finish that? Still very curious about that one, especially about the sleep tracking. Thanks

I am waiting for your Oura ring Gen4 review. I am looking forward to hear your opinion that helps me deciding between Gen3 and Gen4.
Excellent reviews as usual. I only run and hike.
Finally.. Thanks mate
Apple Watch 8 was the last version of the Apple Watch with the SpO2 sensor enabled.
What do you think about Huawei Watch Fit 3?
thank you for your hard work, always like and comment for this channel to grow !
any plans of reviewing the ringconn gen 2 ring ? i have it for a month already, seems quite good
Please do a review of the Amazfit trex 3, keep up the good work!
We're waiting for Garmin Fenix 8!
Hello,
I’m looking primarily for a sleeping & running tracker. I have an iPhone but would prefer a Wearable without a screen or a very small one such as the FitBit or Whoop Band.
Which one would you recommend? I would like to have quality statistics measured and a good battery life.
I thought about Xiaomi or Huawei but they are not good enough I guess.
Waiting for Fenix 8!
Should be pretty much identical to fenix 7 pro / epix 2 pro -- same hr sensor and GPS chipset (I guess very slightly different antenna design)
Can you do a review on the Redmi Watch 5 Lite and Mi Band 9 Pro please?
Fabulous video🎉! What happened to the full review of the Apple Series 10?
Really nice top videos. What about test them swimming? Do Apple ones perform also well?
Thank you so much for this. Just bought a smartwatch for my mom and you helped greatly in my decisions. Any chance you will test out the Ringconn Gen 2? I like the Oura RIng, but I just can't justify the subscription (despite Whoop 4 costing $30 bucks per month lol).
Many people have asked him to review other rings. Ultrahuman Air as for me.
He only reviews Oura Rings. Starting to wonder . 🤔
(With warnings for irregularities)
I am not taking about, replacement of regular visits to a proper doctor but, a way to produce additional data)
Will you be posting a review on the Oura ring 4? When will that video be coming out? Thanks!
amazing video as usual. have you considered affiliations with other bigger channels like LinusTechTips and labs?
What is the best running watch in your opinion ?
Will you do a review of the Ultrahuman Ring Air?
Hey Rob! Are you using the fitbit premium subscription? I'm wondering which cheap fitness band device will give me the best split between accuracy and analytics features and seems like the charge 6 does well but requires a sub for sleep details
Can you please test ultrahuman ring
Hi Quantified Scientist! Would you be so kind and do a comparative analysis of all of the most popular smart rings - Oura, Ultrahuman Ring etc. It seems that this is a burning topic for so many people outhere and everyone would like to hear your opinions. I hope your channel is not only pro Oura and that you will do for us, your faithful subscribers and followers a favour. Ps I myself do wear and use Oura Ring 4.
thanks for great videos
Hello Rob: Is the Withings Scanwatch 2 on your review list? 🙂
Please, test the Suunto Race S.
Please review huawei watch D2🙏🙏🙏
Test Ringconn gen 2
I follow you from Spain and I love your content. Is there any device (other than Apple) that you recommend for use only for weight training? I have a GT2, which is not very accurate in the gym and I want to upgrade it. Thanks!
Would you mind to do a review on both Ringconn 2 and Ultrahuman Ring Air?
I think the ring form factor is the way to go especially for sleep tracking, but I despise the subscription model of Oura.
Hi there noticed you haven't reviewed the scan watch 2, would be interested in the improvement compared to the previous model.
which is the best budget watch
The value of this content is fire my man 🫡
Hey, is therer any reason why there werent any Huawei Watch Fit 2 or 3 were in Heart Rate trecking? They seem very affordable and the tests on your channel were a lot better then the ones for the Fitbit Charge 6 or Band 9
What do you think about buying a fitbit versa 4?
Hey Rob, you've been promising a review about the T-Rex 3 for a while now. Any idea when you might finish that? Still very curious about that one, especially about the sleep tracking. Thanks
Hi. Do you have any plans to perform sleep tracking performance test for AppleWatch 10? 42mm?
I would be nice if you retested the sleep tracking on the pixel 3 when you aren't sick
any suunto videos soon?
Apple Watch SE (2022) or Oura Ring 3?
Mainly for sleep tracking.
Maybe also exercise.
