I like that this has the articulated screen. That is something I look for when purchasing cameras. The lowlight and longevity is great it seems on this camera too! Great review! 😊👍🏾
Solid content as always! very nice how you gave so many details on every single one of those features. I personally have been looking to upgrade from my good old SL2 (you are actually the reason I grabbed that one, and it's been so great to me). Or maybe I'll just look into a better lens - a wide angle one. I feel like Ive pushed that kit lense for as far as I can. Looking forward to some more of your lenses videos. Great work!!
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback. You do great work with what you have. My budget friendly lens recommendation is the EF-S 24mm F/2.8. However, if you don’t mind spending a bit more, go with the Sigma 18-35mm F/1.8. The SL2 is still a good camera; investing in a better lens is the way to go 👊🏾
@@Tfrank22 it took me a long time to decide, found an F4 with image stabilization for a good price so I went with that. Would love a 2.8 but for what I do so far the f4 hasn’t been a problem.
T. Frank right now I’m using the Sony a6300. Been thinking bout picking up the a7iii but keep going back and forth on whether it’s actually needed at the moment.
Hello I've a particular question: can you review directly the movie clip via the smartphone Canon app? On lumix app I can watch video clip (with audio) into the app without any download, very useful for quick video review of what you're recording.
You’re welcome. The EF-S lenses can be used but you won’t get the full resolution for pictures and for video you can only shoot 24fps in 4K or 30fps or 60fps in 720P. You really need full frame lenses with this camera.
great video..looking to purchase mostly taking pictures of grandkids and my ole fart buddies ...still having hard time figuring out if I want canon rp full frame or the canon 90d..
Hi T, I'm curious how the high ISO performance on the RP compares with the M50 for photography. For example, would ISO 6400 on the RP be as clean as ISO 3200 on the M50?
I recall seeing it for that price with the kit lens, and friend of mine actually was able to get that deal. The deals usually run around October -December.
Great video. Not that you asked for feedback, but the one thing that was distracting to me was how far to the right you are. So many other youtubers are center frame for their talking head videos, that this was throwing me off. Maybe if you at least didn't cutoff your outside shoulder it wouldn't have seemed so extreme.
@@Tfrank22So I watched again to see if I could give any other feedback. I thought you looked and sounded comfortable and confident. If I had to nitpick, again on composition, would be to not have the banner text behind your head. And I am glad the other viewer commented on the banner. It helped me figure out what it says. :)
Look who is in front of the camera! Nice willpower not looking at the screen. It’s crazy when you think on what you paid on the RP you could have gotten a used EOS R for an extra $200, well be easy 😆
I was one of the $899 price drop buyers, in part because of an earlier video of yours. It has been a joy to use, and perfect for what I shoot. Thanks!
You’re welcome. Glad that you were able to get it at such a great price! What do you shoot?
@@Tfrank22 cats, food, and the occasional headshot at work! Perfect camera for my needs!
Awesome!! Glad it fits your needs🙂
Another well thought out and informative video. Video quality looks great too!
Thanks, Grant. Appreciate you stopping by.

@@Tfrank22 Very much appreciate the suggestions, I will definitely go ahead look those up 🙏🏾
Love my RP, pair it with some good glass and it’s a beast. Got mine used for $800.
Agreed!! That’s a great price. What glass are using with it?
@@Tfrank22 sigma 24 1.4, sigma 85 1.4, the new rf 50 1.8, tamron 24-70 2.8, and canon 70-200 f4
Nice!! I’m picking up a 70-200 soon. Trying to decide on the F/2.8 or the F/4.
@@Tfrank22 it took me a long time to decide, found an F4 with image stabilization for a good price so I went with that. Would love a 2.8 but for what I do so far the f4 hasn’t been a problem.
Thanks for sharing. I tried the 2.8 but wasn’t really impressed in low light. Think I can get away with using the F/4.
Great video. Nice review! Only thing that keeps me from jumping into the Canon RF line is the lenses. Crazy expensive and quite large.
Thank you! They are quite expensive. What are you shooting with now?

Hi. I don’t think it gives you that option in the Canon App. I can see how that would be useful.
Really great video!!
How much % do you use the RP for video and photo?
Thank you! It’s my main camera so I use it often. If I don’t have the RP with me, I just use my phone.
Great video! Keep putting out content!
Thank you! Will do 🙂👊🏾
Love your content! Great video 😊
Thank you! Appreciate your comment.
Great video. Thanks for this. I think I'm going to jump to the RP from a T7i. With an adapter I can still use some of my EF-S lenses.

Hey there !! Since you own both R And rp , is there a big difference in photography in both if we leave video part ?
Cheers
I don’t think there is a big difference in Photography with the two.

Thank you! If you need better battery life, a flash in camera, and more frames per second, the 90D may be better for you.

Hi there!! I’ll try taking pics at both of those ISOs and get back to you. Generally speaking, the high ISO performance is better on the RP.
I recently got mine , loving it .No RF lenses yet though .
Nice!! What do you love most? What lenses are you using for it?

Thank you! 🙂
its still 999 for just the body and 1300 with the kit lens why do youtubers keep saying canon is selling it with the kit lens for 900
I believe it has been sold for $999 with the kit lens. The deal usually doesn’t last long. The $900 price is usually body only if I’m not mistaken.
@@Tfrank22 sorry I meant 999 not 900 but still my point still stands, I don't think it's ever been on sale for 999 with the kit lens included
