Thanks Lloyd!! Yeah those brackets were a godsend, I was gonna start fabricating new ones the same day I found them!! That saved me a few days of work!!☺
I noticed that the welds on those cab supports you bought look different than the ones on the brackets that you fabricated! LOL! Those pieces sure look nice! Glad to see some people still take pride in their work. Those folks who live in the southwest and western states have no idea what high humidity and road salt does to vehicles! You see a little rust spot, cut it out and it’s three times worse behind it! I imagine how frustrating it must be to have to keep cutting out more and more and patching all of back. Keep plugging away buddy! You’ll get it eventually.
Thank God for reproduction panels. But you still have to have a certain amount of talent to fit them in place. Nice work so far. I always enjoy the Ford series.
Thanks Wyatt!! Yeah even a bad reproduction panel will at least give you something to start with!! These panels are pretty decent compared to some of the stuff I've had to deal with over the years!!☺
I’m more of a chevy guy, but I’ve done two cab bushing replacements, and your stackup looks correct to me. Just from process of elimination, there must be a washer at the very bottom, next to the nut, and a washer at the top (cab floor) under the bolt head. And no washers between the two rubbers. Keep the truck videos coming, Road King. 👍
Lookin good Roady. The stack up of the mount looks correct, but from this side of my monitor the bolt looks too long?? Might not be, not sure. You might need to die the threads down a bit more. The whole cab will be a helluva lot stronger once you've got done with it.
RK, Check the cab mount on the passenger side and use it as a model for replacing the driver side. Same concept as changing brakes, use one side as a template or "mirror" for the other.
The bushing sequence looks good, but the cab needs to be lifted to accommodate the deformed old hangers and compressed old mount rubbers. Looking good there, RK - gonna be like a new truck (but with better wheels, I'm guessing?)!
@@805ROADKING haha, pictures! do you have the body/interior assembly manual by Jim Osborn? I also have the picture instructions for the cab bolts. Would you like me to send a picture?
Thanks Kev!! I have the Ford Shop Manual, that covers just about everything!! I already found a picture of the cab mounts from one of the parts houses but thanks for the offer!!☺
You could probably make a silicone mold of the old rubber piece right of a lighter silicone and then look for a heavier silicone rubber mix and pour it in there and get the exact shape that you need because it's not going to ride right unless it's the exact shape or you can shave down the new piece to fit
Finding those quality parts makes all the difference on the repair. Looks like you have the mount figured out. Nice work Buddy. Cheers
Thanks Lloyd!! Yeah those brackets were a godsend, I was gonna start fabricating new ones the same day I found them!! That saved me a few days of work!!☺
I think you have the bushings in the right position.
Thanks Buddy!!☺
Looks to me like you’ve got the mount, stacked correctly. Those new cab supports look sweet, and made in the USA, too! 👍
Thanks Tony!! Yeah I was really surprised how nice they were!!☺
Is there a link for those supports that I’m not seeing? I need a couple

Chugging along nicely.
Thanks Bud!! Still a ton of work to do!!☺
...good job, better than new, have a good weekend and stay safe..

Looking good RK and your going to have a whole new truck there!
Thanks Kong!!☺

Only the judges at pebble beach will knock off points, if your rubber is on inside out. Looks great 👍
Decorum prevents me from making about a half dozen jokes about “ if your rubber is on inside out”!😀
Thanks Joe!! If this truck ever makes it to Pebble Beach it's only because they need something to collect trash in!!☺
They’ll look good doing so.👍
You are correct with the cab mount assembly. I enjoy your work on the old Ford
Thanks alot Mike!!☺

Thanks Greg!! It's funny, I'm a Chevy guy myself!! Owned my share of Vettes and 57's!! Don't know how I wound up with two Fords!!☺
Cab mounts, the restorers nightmare. Looking good so far EJ.
Thanks George!! Thankfully I can do most of the work from the topside instead of laying on my back!!☺
Its nice you can get flooring panels already made ! This is to be continued a few times I think ! I'll be watchin' !
Yeah Buddy!! Should keep us busy for a while!!☺
Mount looks correct. It's hard to find quality parts these days you lucked out. Great show buddy!
Thanks Buddy!! It's hard to find quality anything these days!!☺
lots of work there,, mounts look right to me..
Yeah Buddy!! Should keep us busy for a while!!☺
I really enjoy watching you work on the F100! I look forward to each episode!
Thanks Dad!! Plenty more episodes left!!☺
Great job buddy thanks for sharing
Thanks Scrotie!!☺
Good work King , Going to be a super nice truck ! ENJOYED..
Thanks alot Shawn!!☺
Your mount stack up looks correct... but you still need a crush sleeve in each of your new sheet metal cab supports.
Thanks Josh!!☺
You have the correct orientation of rubber mount. Same as my 66 Bronco
Thanks alot Fish!!☺
I like it!
Thanks Buddy!!☺

Thanks Mart!! That bolt also has to go through a 2¼" Cab mount bracket that is attached to the floor pan!!☺
Looks like you are doing it right to me. Maybe you could call Carolina Classics and ask them. I'M not sure myself never done them either buddy.
Thanks Bob!! We finally found an illustration on the interwebs from one of the parts houses!!☺

Thanks Tony!! Yeah those wheels are just to help it roll while we work on it, it's gonna get new rims and tires (tyres)!!☺
Its getting there.morning matey :o)
Mornin' Mate!! Yeah one bite at a time!!☺
Working on taking off my drivers side front fender today 😬. I've bought a bolt kit from carolina classics 👍
Cool!! My front end has been apart so long it's gonna be like putting a puzzle together!!☺

That tar stuff was probably sound deadening material, dunno what they make it with, but it's nasty when it needs to go away...
Luckily most of what I removed so far came off easy just by chipping at it, but I still have alot more to remove!!☺
it cant be three years since you got this truck
5 more months, it looks like the first video was Sep 17, 2018!! It feels like 10 years!!☺
Have you ordered from dennis carpenter?
Yeah we ordered the door weather stripping from him!! Decent service and pricing!!
The prize for guessing the correct weight is... The rusty metal. 🤣
Lol!! Shipping that would cost me more than the new metal I replaced it with!!☺
@@805ROADKING true. 😉🍻
I called carolina classics and they told me they dont make em, whats the number
