Thank you for your review. It helps me confirm my decision to avoid the Swan & Edgar.
They do a pretty good job re sales, marketing, advertising, and when you see a watch on the Internet, you don't know exactly what it is.
It may be okay to wear in an environment that suits a cheap watch - pub, club, building site, work, etc.
After my research and your excellent video then I will have to be marking Swan & Edgar as avoid.
(They also do a perpetual moon phase watch, so I will have to be avoiding.
They even claim that their Moonwatch using a Seiko Mecha Quartz, but I feel doubtful of that case, i think it's fictitious)

Thank you. It will be best to avoid (at all costs). Your video helps people be informed and be able to avoid these undesirable watches.
It is okay to stick to some known brands e.g. Seiko, Accurist, Sekonda, Citizen, etc.

I bought a Tissot Chrono in 2012, price paid £250 from a jeweler. Had the watch 10 1/2 years. Very satisfied with it.
Looking around for new watches, but definitely not the Swan & Edgar, as that is one to be avoided.

Wow, that closely resembles an Omega Speedmaster Moon to Mars, right down to the placement of the planets. It's great if you want to pose from across the room. Just don't let anyone see it up close 😅 BTW, the movement is a Seiko Mecha-Quartz.

Nice review honest without totally destroying them lol agree with you it looks like a plate on the wrist, avoid for me.

Watching this review because I just came across the watch on S&E website. Claims it's limited edition but still selling it on pre order format?
I like a big watch. I've got the fossil mega machine and I love it. I've also got some smaller automatic watches which only get worn on occasions.
I love astronomy so this watch speaks to me but I think the mars dial is a bit too red.

PS, why does the watch look as if it’s been scribbled over with a felt pen ? Is it the screen or lighting ?

Nah, don't bother with it. It looks cheap, and it is cheap but The pictures make it look way better than it actually is. I wouldn't waste my money on it.

they are called swan and Edgar I have several and want to know if they have any quality to them? They look good and aren't expensive but any good.? They have a heritage but as we know quality can fall thru generations. They are a London based co.I have the one you are reviewing.

I would avoid I'm afraid as I said in the video overall was not impressed

@@deetimeloveshow I think you have to weight up what you're getting for the price mostly the ones I have only cost around£100 but if you're and advanced collector then yeah maybe not. But for starting a collection I think they are alright. I think they are a sister co. Of gamages of London which are pretty much the same but come with a5yr warranty but ateotd if you liked it and it's not expensive then why not. But now I know what I know I will be stopping collecting them as I'm currently into nubeo, and RGMT which are way cheaper to purchase here in England than in USA. I really like them.

These watches have no heritage. They're cheap Chinese watches bought wholesale from websites like AliExpress, with a brand name popped on them and sold at a big mark up. They aren't necessarily bad watches, but that's only if you're paying the original prices from AliExpress.

Speedmaster seamaster Chinese hybrid mistake lol, I had a fake watch chrono that had the same movement, definitely off the shelf cheap movement shame really, make it smaller with a meca quartz would of been a nice looking watch that works.

Crap movement. 3 atm water resist. Avoid. You can do a lot better for what these cost.

Their logo is awful and much Mike those 90s pubs and wine bars who thought they were funny in an “ ironic” sort of way by calling themselves the Frog and Bucket or something equally unfunny . A duck in a bowler hat and a bulldog ? About as British as Rolls Royce cars now

I wouldn't want any Swan and Edgar watch, not even as a gift!
