- This video is a cautionary tale for any learner driver who wants to know what not to do on their driving test. In this eye-opening video, a learner driver fails their test after making a series of serious faults, including running a red light.
What you will see in this video:
A learner driver running a red light
A learner driver making a series of other serious faults
A learner driver failing their driving test
Feedback is then provided at the end of the driving test on what went wrong and how the learner driver can improve for their driving test.

“Imagine failing in the first two minutes.”
“You don’t have to imagine.”😂
I’m crying 🤣
I like Rina's attitude. She acknowledges her mistakes so she will definitely learn from them. Although the drive wasn't the best, I think she will be a good driver when she does pass.
Thank you :)
As someone who passed their test recently, I can feel how nervous she is driving and also feeling under pressure whilst being marked down. She needs to get used to driving whilst feeling nervous, which is exactly what I did.
Solid driver, but clear example of new area/new car/nerves combo. Hope it didn't knock her confidence too much. She's pretty much there.
I passed 2 weeks ago thanks to you and other instructors on here, now I get to watch these videos for entertainment 😂 I'll never stop watching you all ❤
Congratulations on passing your test and welcome to the DGN Alumni!!
congrats lisa!
Lucky you. I have failed for the sixth time.

Thanks for having me Pin and thanks to everyone in the comments who can see I was incredibly nervous and for your kind words! My next lesson back after this felt so smooth and easy and my confidence is now back again- I was making mistakes this day that I have never made before and the beginning for sure threw me off - fingers crossed for my test in a few weeks :)
Yh rip the handbrake while ur at it
super brave to do a mock test in front of the cameras - good luck with your test!
Good luck!
Thanks for doing this! I hope you do well with your real test
Hey good job on staying positive through out the whole thing! also, you sound like a British Jennifer Lawrence. And you've got a cool style 🤘
Rina is so humble. Would be easy for such a charismatic person to be arrogant with it, but she accepts her errors and speaks with real humility - fair play to her.
I love her personality! She's so cute! I wish her all the best ❤
Thank God! i passed mine one last Thursday with 4 mainer on 5th attempt. Good luck everyone for those of you who did not pass yet. Stay strong dont give up you can do it!
🎉🎉congratulations 🎊 and thank you 😊 xx
That's the spirit. Never give up. Thanks for ur comment it helps a lot.
Passed 5th time today with 7 minors. Congrats to me
I’ve passed for about almost 6 months. And still enjoy watching these videos and to even know when a fault is coming up is amazing and seeing the situation unfold.
i passed 4 years ago yet still enjoy these videos and learning etc
The handbrake attack was personal
Every time I was like 😫😂
She's really polite and acknowledges her mistakes with more practice she will be an amazing driver.
I have passed 5 days ago.still watching and enjoying these videos.got ultimate driving course aswell.that helped alott in getting ready for test.thanks pin and to clearview driving..😊
I keep watching your video while I’m still learning and ready for my driving test just wanna say thank you so much , as i passed my test here in Australia 3 weeks ago💕🤗
I passed nearly two years ago and still watch these videos 🙂
I also have to pull the handbrake up a second time just like you do and I also sit very close AND use a cushion! The cushion was a revelation! 😅
passed first time today with 3 minors! wanted to say thanks, your channel is much appreciated!
Why she soo aggressive on the gearstick and handbrake 🤣🤣
She was obviously very nervous. I would have been, too, if I knew my driving skills were being assessed by an instructor, plus the additional comments on here.
Also,I can relate to the seat issue. I am 5 ft,so I have to pull the seat forward as far as it will go,plus use a cushion to make sure my bum doesn't sink too far back. Pin,that was a very cheeky comment about being able to fit another seat behind. That mischievous grin makes me giggle every time.
Thank you Pin for all your videos. I passed this morning with 3 minors. It was an emotional moment for me. I have finally joined the I’ve passed but just watching to learn more gang. Thank you.
I have the same seat issue. I have a cushion as well, and I tend to sit quite far forward as I'm quite short. A bit of solidarity over here for you!
I passed my test just over a week ago your driving course and your videos helped me a lot pin now i will watch your videos as a qualified driver
0:14 "You don''t have to imagine" 😅😅😅
She gave the emergency brake a good workout. 😂
I totally get why an instructor/examiner has to check for all hazards before an emergency stop, but I think all the extra-careful peering over would always make me inherently ready to execute it. I wish they didn't have to do it because pulling off an emergency stop when I'm totally not ready for it will make me more confident! 😅
Passed my test 4 days ago 1st time with 8 minors. These videos have been incredible with helping me with my lessons. I can finally watch these videos without the anxiety of my upcoming test lol. Thank you
How many hours have you done is auto or manual thanks xx
@@user-de8md1ds4h I did about 43 hours altogether and had 2 instructors. First instructor was very impatient and felt like he just wanted to make more money than actually teach me to drive properly, but passed with 2nd one who was brilliant. Passed In a manual 🙂

“I had to intervene”
If at any point the instructor/ examiner needs to grab the steering wheel, it's an automatic fail. I fear for this mans safety and life with every video I watch.
Here's me a Belgian confused why yall in the UK use your handbreaks so much. We only use it when we park our cars.
Literally!!!! I don't understand also no one teaches them how to use their clutch properly which is why they can't move off up hills even small ones, there was even a place with a barrier and it was a bit on an incline and there was a sticker "don't forget your handbrake" ☠️☠️☠️
ey een belg die ook nog is WoW speelt? DAMN haha
Thanks for your videos, helped me pass
I thought I was better than them because i was able to learn everything from scratch in a few hours and by the next day, i was already driving 50 kilometers from my brother’s house to our parent’s house, but then I realized, i was driving automatic transmission like a proper plebeian while these students are learning manual transmissions which i heard is a few notches more difficult, my confidence is now plummeting at noticeable speeds.
Manual isnt too much harder really, it's just taking time to get used to another skillset. It all becomes automatic after a few weeks anyway
Manual is a lot more difficult, clutch control.
@@missglasgow88 Maybe at the start, not once you get a few lessons going. Once you get a feel for the biting point, the hardest part is remembering to change gears and keeping track which one you're in lol At least for me!
She's so cute and seems like such a lovely person. It's easy to make mistakes when nervous. I hope she gets to practice more on the things she's unsure about and passes her test!
thank youu :)
What does being cute has to do with driving?
😑
Women
Has nothing to do with the driving, hence why it was in a separate sentence with no link to the driving. I added my thought since that was something I noticed and think. Usually it don't harm to be kind or give compliments etc when it's genuine. Why do you bring your negativity in here for no reason? @@rifatislam5836
@@rifatislam5836uhm cute doesn’t just have to be looks it can mean attitude which for sure impacts driving!

I failed my test in the first 2 minutes. It was for priority rule but the other car was stalled, with no indicators on and not moving at all. But the moment I took a turn the other car followed me. The examiner was so happy to immediately fail me for that. Even my instructor did not notice that the other car intended to move in my direction.
I've gotta say, I was laughing when Pin was doing the exaggerated jolting at 21:31 and 22:56 😂😂 both had me laughing for a good minute. It's the rustling crisp packet jacket that adds to it as well lmao

She's confusing the pressure gauge with measuring tread depth. The pressure gauge one is for the tyre pressure question.
Glad someone noticed this!
@@alishaxo178 I'm not sure how you'd measure tread depth, I would use a vernier calliper, but there might be a better way.
@@colinjava8447 - I use the head of matchstick, if it sits in the tread then the tyre is good.

i dont blame anyone for failing within the first 2 minutes my whole life has been like that tbh. always conclude for the worst so you're not surprised

She really loved toying with that handbrake with all the force😂. Nearly flew off
Is this a new camera? Looks great 😊
45 hours and ready for her test.
Being nervous is understandable but it does impact upon performance. I don’t think she should be going to that test in four weeks. This close to test day you should be driving around largely unassisted and just polishing off manoeuvres as she said at the beginning.
I think when Pin was giving feedback at the end she wasn’t really taking a lot of it seriously enough. Checking mirrors that quickly coming off a busy multi lane roundabout you might as well be doing it with your eyes closed for all your going to see. That’s an accident waiting to happen, still issues with judgement of space around the vehicle clearance, rushing too much everything rushed didn’t seem in control of the vehicle at all times. Don’t think she’s ready to drive unsupervised.
Her seat’s not high enough, she can’t see properly
@@jezstokes8592 but it sounds like an excuse. At the beginning you have to set your seat, mirrors and steering wheel (if possile) properly. If there's an issue because you can't set up the seat's height - you have to tell about that and that you will need some pillow or something, you shouldn't drive if everything isn't in proper position because it affects your observations what can be dangerous on the road.
@@reddeadoralive7281 what do you mean mirror checks are not as much as they make it out to be? She’s exiting a major roundabout there could easily have been a vehicle on her nears side. Does an accident actually have to happen before people start taking mirror check seriously?
pro yapper…the way she took feedback was fine what are you talking about? 😂 and her driving wasnt bad at all
@@blibbleskrr "her driving wasnt bad at all"
... that's why she failed in 2 minutes ;P
I'm the same with the seat, mine is v forward. Shorty as well 😂
i got an i20, im 5ft tall and to get the right driving position it tricky, right height and forward knees catch the dash plastics so no good as raising seat it moves forward too so a lot messing to get good, also use a cushion to raise height means seat setting can be lower so that bit extra back and cushion driving position spot on, normal car seat settings are a tad off what i require as i need to be forward enough but i want bit height too but cannot have both as not enough room in footwell. also cushion stops me moving about and better for my back as let effort to stay in place esp when having tad fun on twisty roads. even learning to drive i used a cushion. bad driving position not so good on changing roads, rather has driving position spot on and not care what others think and also safer
It is nerve wracking plus you have done the mock test in an area that you’re not used to so extra nervous! One tip on the real test is to chew chewing gum, it helps concentration x.
On my lessons I'm short that I have to pull the seat as far toward as it will go and pull the back up too 😂 it's hard being short
The way she puts the hand brake up gives me the fear
hahahahahah
I passed my driving test in January on just 13 hours of driving lessons and I only passed because of the DGN ultimate driving course, couldn’t recommend it enough genuinely - saved me time, money and most of all got me my license 🙌
That fault at the right hand turn where she got stuck in the middle - my daily route includes a route like this and way too many drivers stay in the middle, despite cars behind them, also in the middle, after the lights have turned red. As they aren’t sure if other drivers are gunna race through. It’s so dangerous.
Someone at my old job failed with a Dangerous. Obviously an immediate termination of the test and walk of shame.
She didn't elaborate on what happened and was very sheepish when she mentioned it.

Team short legs! My seat is so far forward I can barely get out without squashing myself.
Hahahaa same here!!
I have failed my test twice so far. Really struggle in test conditions. I made more mistakes this time.
"You dont have to imagine" looolllllll😭😭😭
That first one confused me, then I saw the other set of lights on the side.
I check my left blindspot when exiting roundabout just to be sure.
With the parallel, you need your left mirror set correctly first, or at least I do.
The first one do be complicated like that.
There are also other junctions where there is a controlled "right green arrow" traffic light where it only turns on when the traffic is busy.
Which gets confusing cause then if its not busy the right green arrow won't turn on and your right only lane will have to use the straight on only green arrow.
@@T.K.9 The right turn filter arrows round here basically just block the traffic from the other side that you'd normally have to wait for when making your turn.
I just love her😃😃😃
Can somebody explain to me why she constantly uses the handbrake while waiting? Is that a thing in the UK?
In Germany we are taught to only use while parking when motor is off or to use it as assistance when accelerating from a stop on a steep upwards hill.
Very good effort and with a few more lessons you should be of a better standard 😊
I passed two days ago. Took only 4 lessons, 2 hours each and passed in first go with 4 minors. Your videos have been very useful. Thank you and Cheers!

I had to intervene
Almost running the red 😬 instant serious and a fail, when in doubt don't guess. Currently have 11 hours with an instructor and around 15+ with my mum, very confident for my test in Jan but I might move it forward if possible 🙂 gave myself a lot of time just to be sure I can pass first time. Still regularly watching these videos though and focusing on talking myself through these mock tests with what I'd do.
I'm 6ft 1 so I definitely don't have seat issues and the handbrake isn't a problem 😄 I do have problems sometimes clicking the seat belt in the slot 😅 parallels are a little hit and miss but I've only done around 5 of them.
I'm really surprised she got as many faults as she did to be honest, I understand nerves can be a factor but just keep calm and drive exactly the same way you normally would on a lesson, take your time and think all the time "what is the safest approach" to all situations, you can't be marked down for being too careful or correcting initial mistakes on a manoeuvre 👍
Good advice but for people with anxiety it fucking sucks. I get anxious for no reason. Knowing that I had to wait for like 6 months for my test, had to pay a shit ton of money for my lessons and then the test and also having to pay to use my instructors car. I failed my first test, with 2 serious and 3 minors. All because of my nerves. Luckily for me I managed to get another test booked 3 weeks later. I passed my second time with 6 minors. I’m just glad I don’t have to deal with the anxiety and nauseousness anymore.
Easy to say but I’m a fairly confident driver but I made stupid mistakes on my test that I would never make in day to day driving :( life is much better on the other side though.
at 5:12 That junction is awful. It would be much better if traffic was allowed to continue on one set of lights.
My instructor said I don't need to put handbrake on it's safer to put foot on break and for quicker set offs. My previous instruction said I had to use hand break when stopping I'm so confused
self preference to be honest. worth pulling hand break if you;re on a hill or if the light has literally gone red at a junction where you'll be waiting a while. hold foot break if you think you're not going to be waiting long
I’m here 😂😂😂😂same problem with me 😂
Whats the deal with handbrake ? Why use it at each traffic stop ? Actually why use it at all if you not on hilly road
I'm 5ft 3in so I have to pull my seat in my car all the way forward to reach the pedals and my seat can raise up so I have the height and the back has to come forward so my arms can reach the wheel.
As for my handbrake and gears, they get stiff in my car in the wet and cold weather (😅) so that becomes an issue.
Other than that, all is good 😂
What is the reason for engaging the handbrake at almost any full-stop?
I notice this in many of your videos.
This US driver has driven 100k miles and never encountered this. My UK friends thought I learned how to drive in Wolverhampton😂
If you're uphill in a manual then you should start with the handbrake to give it some power so it doesn't roll down
How comes u never do the up hill and down hill start ?
How do we know speed limits on a road without signs mentioning them
Usually you would know a main high street is 30 unless there are other road signs
And a residential street would be about twenty
She did need a cushion to sit on. She’s got her chin up a lot of the time trying to get a better view. Perhaps you could have a few cushions in the back which might help some students out.
Oh she's so nervous. In getting second hand nerves. Hope she got past that though.
Good video but I think her seat needed to be pumped higher or the steering wheel lowerred.
Ryna should do time for murdering the handbrake 😂😂😂, I hope she does well on her driving test...
she was sitting a bit lower though. Get cushions for shorter people 😂
7:32 hooray 😂😂😂lady is back by popular demand
She should be called “clutch killer”, never used neutral when she was completely stopped.
Her feet indicated she was gonna brake at the first set of lights.
So 4 MPH under speed limit is a serious fault?
