I am finally in the ‘I passed but am still watching’ crew. The best advice I can give is to remember that the examiner is a person, and they’re at work! They’ve seen people all day every day and in the least rude way possible, you’re not special! It’s not a test, it’s a check to see if you’re safe to be out on your own. If you’re not safe, you don’t want to pass! You don’t wanna be out there on your own if you’re gonna hurt yourself or someone else. Stay as calm as you can, as soon as you meet the examiner you’ll start to feel better. Deep breaths, you’ll get there!! Try not to think about all the reasons you want to pass and instead think about where you’re gonna drive. Think ‘dot to dot’ one thing at a time!! Good luck!
I passed my driving test a few weeks ago, thanks to this and other channels regarding driving. If I may give a few tips that might help whomever is going for the test 1. Engage with the examiner at the start, be nice, be attentive to what they re saying. Ask a few questions and show genuine care about their answers I.e. how long have you been an examiner? Do you enjoy it? 2. Try to imagine you are going for a ride in your car and the examiner is just someone asking you for a lift, so youd be driving this person for 40min until your destination. 3. Dont be afraid if you go the wrong way. Just be safe all the time 4. If it gets quiet in the car, verbalise all the actions you are doing, even anticipations, it helps a lot. Both of you. I.e I'm checking my mirrors, im seeing this car ahead is turning right, so I'll slow down and change to 2nd gear..for example... 5 . Most important for last, consider the possibility that you might fail, and what your actions are after that. If you do this you will be much more relaxed, because the pressure of I GOTTA PASS is out of your shoulders. Hope it helps. 😊
Passed my test today and watched this video before. Defo came in handy being able to ask for a 10-15 second breather because I was mega nervous. Confirming directions with the instructor is also very helpful in areas which are rather busy or have multiple turns in the same direction next to eachother. Big thanks man :)
I've been doing automatic lessons twice a month and I've got bad nerve damage to the lumbar of my spine and bad pain in my left leg for over a year now and honestly it's so eye opening how many people actually doesn't know left from right. The way my secondary school teacher showed me was this, if you hold up your first finger out straight up and that thumb straight as far out as it goes it makes an "L " on the left hand but NOT on the other one meaning if you didn't know which was left and right it only makes an "L" on one which will be your left hand ! Obviously don't do it mid drive but you can do it while holding the wheel ! Thank you for your video I've just started my mock runs online and gone from 50%-90 in 7 runs ! And this will help me!
another tip for left and right is when you put L signs with your index and thumb (right angle approximate). The one that faces you with an L shape is left.
I dont know my left from my right. This is so helpful. Its the biggest problem i have. Not just in driving , but literally anything that needs me to choose left hand or right hand
It's something that we don't really use all the time after we first learn what is left and right. So it's not a surprise that a lot of people struggle with it.
Are you kidding me! this has got to be the single most useful video I've seen yet - got the test this Thursday! I would appreciate anyone willing to send their positive vibes and prayers of success my way! thank you in advance and many blessings back to you. :)
I had my 2nd test yesterday and I passed with only 3 minors and before I was getting picked up by my driving instructor from my house, I was shaking so much cuz like exams give me so much anxiety and like I had two bananas and after my first bite of my first banana, I felt calm and not that anxious anymore and it payed off xx I’m so glad it’s finally done and I hopefully won’t have to take it ever again
if you can walk it you can drive it my instructor says! i still struggle a lot with judging the distance of oncoming cars though, i think im overly cautious
I will add a couple of tips from my side. I failed the first time and passed on subsequent attempt with 2 minors. In my first attempt, I was over-stressed on the last day and tried to re-watch all the videos, didn't properly sleep in the night and then drove to the centre (1 hour away ). So I was already tired a bit by the beginning of the test and made a serious fault in last minute at passenger crossing, just outside Mill Hill driving test centre. My suggestion would be to get ample rest before the test, pace out all the RUclips lessons over long period of time than trying to cram things at eleventh hour. I also benefitted by attending a seminar arranged for prospective candidates by Hendon and Mill Hill centres by making them interact with examiners much before the test. If such an oppurtunity hits your email box, do not miss out. Even if there are no new tricks discovered, just by talking to examiners will help boost confidence and help understand how they think about it in terms of evaluation.

@@ZONDOdriving I just passed finally 💪
@beinghyderabadi5709 nice one dude. I've got my 1st one tomorrow. I hope I pass
@@Grass_Muncher Good luck
@beinghyderabadi5709 Thanks. I passed in the end 😊
I have my test on Tuesday 😢😢😢 I’m super nervous and stressed out about it and I always look back on my notes but tomorrow is my last full lesson before my test and I just don’t know what to do 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 please help 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Did you pass?
@@vegeta9501 unfortunately not but I’m proud of how it went cuz I only had 1 major and 5 minors
@@salliexx7631 how long were you learning for?
I have a test in a couple of weeks Iv been learning for 7 years Iv still not had a test because of my confidence any tips please
@@sassytraveller8169for about a year but yesterday I had my 2nd test and finally managed to pass with 3 minors!!!
My instructor told me if in touch the curb it’s a fail?
No. If you hit into it hard then it's a fail. Touching it a bit isn't going to fail you unless you're doing it constantly
My examiner failed me because I touched the curb while parallel parking in yeovil😢 I asked that was my only major… are u sure thats a minor?
This is not usually a fail unless it was hard or you damaged the car or went over the kerb.
@@ZONDOdriving no it was my left back tyre touched it only, they said I need to practice that more ..:(
good vid bro
Glad you enjoyed 😃
Thanks
Any time
Is it okay to watch camera fit in car while parking?
Yes, you can use whatever features the car has. Just be careful as people have failed for not looking around properly because they spent too much time looking at the camera. Hope that helps. 😁
Is this for ireland also?
When it comes to my videos about driving tests, I'm referring to UK Rules.
It affects me . thanks for the tip
It affects lots of people and you're welcome 😁
BANANA = Magnesium so you could it anything with lot of magnesium in it ! 😊
Science 🦾
I 100% trust the banana! I had one right before my theory test and got 50/50 and 55/75!🍌
Amazing! Will you be taking it before your practical test too?
My instructor makes her students eat 2 bananas before taking their test! 😅 but I can’t stand them so I’m going to have to say no to that one 😂
2? 😳 They must be super chilled and at least they won't be hungry. 🤭
number 6 yea... if you dont know which is left or right i dont think you should be allowed to drive
Just passed my theory this gonna help me with my driving thanks
Congrats on your Theory pass!! 🥳 Have started driving lessons already?
@@ZONDOdriving thanks I was supposed to do my theory and driving test last year but was very busy with work I took maybe 20 lessons with a family member last year, how many lessons would you advise me to take ? I’m looking to pass driving test first time
@@Bane1Mirin it’s great you have someone to help you with the lessons. It all depends on how quickly you learn. The best thing to have an assessment lesson with an instructor and they can tell you roughly how many hours you’ll need. Keep us updated when you do your test though. 😁
@@ZONDOdrivinghey bro I had my test today I passed with 1 minor your videos helped me a lot 🙌🏽👍🏽
i got my test in a couple days, so nervous
How did it gooo?
Mine is today 🙏🏼
How did it go?
Have a banana. Love it my man 😂
😁
Got my test tomorrow, and had a 2 hour lesson tonight and kept making mistakes at the start, hoping tomorrow goes better, either way thanks mate 😅
How did it go?
I sometimes have to think for a second about east and west, but its not massively relevant to driving.
I think it's linked to what is discussed on this video. 😀
@@ZONDOdriving I've got your "100 Ways..." book, it helped me pass first time (3 minors) last week, so thanks for that :)
@@colinjava8447hi Colin. Thanks for buying the book and I’m glad it helped. Big congratulations on your pass with only 3 minors. 🎉🥳🥳🥳🙌🏾🙌🏾🏆🎉
I'm allergic to Bananas lol I'm gonna have some CBD oil instead.
Wow that's such an unusual allergy. Hope the oil helps 😁
Surely the reference point depends in the size of your car so not helpful for all
I want the refreshers sweet
😅 Those were finished a long time ago sorry. I'll let you know when I get another box. 😁
By banana... you mean smoke a joint right 😅 how tf is banana 🍌 calming me down 😂
Good tips though that one was abit weird
Note to self. Definitely don't take my advice your not only gunna fail but you might end up with a few points
Glad you put a disclaimer there 😅
Pray to God for calmness and confidence. You will ace it.
Bananas 🍌 release serotonin which is a happy Chemical and neurotonin
I have a driving test today wish me luck 😭😊
