My grandfather died of brain cancer 13 years ago. I never got the chance to meet him. He died when my mom was pregnant with me. That is why she gave me the name of his mother (my great grandmother) I'm proud of my name. Thank you for reminding me of this heartwarming story. Thank you to the ones who read this for their time. Exactly. My grandmothers also passed away when I was young. From my fathers side, she passed away a few months before I was born, and from my mother's side she passed away almost two years ago. We lived in different countries and didn't meet often. My grandfather from my mother's side passed away when I was 4 years old and my last grandparent lives in a different country and he's quite clumsy and has some...problems so I also have to worry about him. Luckily he's feeling quite well despite that so I think he'll live for a while.
My grandmother passed away when i was 1 years old. I never got the chance to meet her. My mom tells me we were really similar and would get along really well. She could have been my best friend, my protector, my guardian angel, my granny who would always make me happy. Now she's protecting me from up there. Even tough i never met her, i really miss her. This song was played at my twin sister and my little brother’s funeral, because before our Dad died it was his favourite song. Me and my sister were orphans because our Dad died, and then we finally got to meet our half brother for the first time ever, and we were taken in to care by this women, who instead of caring for us beat us after 30 minutes of meeting our little 3 year old brother. He was so tiny and frail that when only 2 minutes in to the beating he was already weakening, but since my sister and I were 11, we were suffering, but weren’t falling yet. So then my brother died. And then while the women goes to hide his body, we call the ambulance and the police. And there at the hospital, within four days I was improving, but my sister was then given only a 4 percent chance of survival. And 2 days before she died, she wrote this letter to our little brother. And told me to look after it, and from this day, I still have it. And it reads the following. ⬇️ “Dear little brother, when you were 3 years old we learnt we were siblings, I only got to hold your hand once for 30 minutes, and then the babysitter starts to beat us... I’m sorry the pain took you away from me, but our Daddy once told me that, “when a person seems the least loveable, it only means they need love the most.” . I’m glad you are with Dad, in his arms... no more suffering for you angel. I found out tonight that the beating from the babysitter also effected me and was told the chances of my survival is only 4%. I’m glad though, I won’t need to suffer. I’ll also get to hold those tiny hands of yours again. And your little voice calling me ‘sissy’ will fill a hole in my heart that I never knew I had.” I miss them so much, and it hurts, but if those 3 beautiful people are not in heaven, I have no reason to think why heaven is at all real.❤️

This song reminds me of my Kuya (a word to call an older brother or a guy who's older than you in Tagalog). He was my first cousin, but he was like my brother. He was the best Kuya I've ever had. Always smiling, laughing, and playing with me during my childhood years around my grandfather's farm. However, I had to move to America from the Philippines at the age of six to pursue a better life, which was in the year 2009. Because I moved, I lost connection with him. I didn't have a phone back then and I did not have any social media accounts. The only time I communicated with him was when my mom would allow me to greet him on Facebook. 2 years later on June 29 2011, he died at the age of 16 because of a coma. He was hit and run during a rainy day when he was walking from school. That night, his dreams were crushed. Basketball was his ultimate passion and he wanted to pursue it. But that one careless driver crushed every piece of him. And I was irrationally mad at myself..so mad because I never said my last words to him or even went back to the Philippines for his funeral. When he died, I was empty. This was the only song I've listened to while I cry for hours on end. Now, through this, I've learned to NEVER waste a moment spent with my friends and family because death is inevitable…and it will come any second, any hour, any day, and what sucks about it is it comes at the moment you least expect it. Rest in peace now, Saric. You are forever missed
Jannah Galapate when you think about it, dont worry. He is in a much much better place now, a place where he can live all the dreams he ever had. One day, you will meet him there too, and that wont be very long. My last call with my grandfather until he died ( i dont know how he died the only thing everyone knows is that he went to sleep and never woke up ) was me saying that i loved him and how i was doing in school (thats usually what we talked about )but i never knew that was the last time i would ever contact him. He died less then 1 week before me and my family went to mexico to see him and the rest of the family. Remember, all that matters is how much you loved your kuya and how he loved you. Instead of thinking how sad it was that he wasent there, think about the happy times you had with him and think positive, one day your gonna see him again. No matter if its 10 years or 10,000 years you and him will fight to see eachother again. Always remember that.
It's okay. He's in a better place. I just think about it this way that even if he survives, he wouldn't be able to do anything because of his coma. It's still hard to let go and I wanna punch myself every time I think about it, but he's not suffering anymore. He's resting. He may not be here physically, but he's always there. I miss my grandfather 😿 He died of three heart attacks in the hospital. My grandmother is dissapointed and told us he was missing us before he died. So he died missing us. He always wanted two baby girls wich is me and my sister. Now I regret so badly that I didn't get to see him. At his funeral I touched his cold and palid forehead and started crying. Nearly a decade ago (wow I feel old) I played piano, but stopped and since then have picked up two other glorious instruments, the violin and the fife. Recently, I've become interested once more in playing the piano. And this song, this absolutely beautiful song, is one of the ones I'd love to learn for piano. I listen to this when I can't sleep, or when I need to focus, and I've fallen in love with it. It is heavenly and I sincerely hope to one day be able to play this. Probably not of this high quality (at least for a while), but enough for the tune to be recognizable.

I live far away from my grandparents, visiting them just twice a year makes me live in a pool of suffering. When this song auto-played, I remembered lying next to my grandmother's death bed when I was 7... I'm 13 now and as soon as I started realising just how many people can relate to this. It connects us all. And yes, every reply like this does make my day. :) Even though I am an atheist (and this is something that, for example a Christian would say) I can sometimes hear her voice or feel her presence in situations where I need to make a big decision. When I started writing this comment a got a flashback of me and her in the backyard of the hospital where she was (not really a hospital but it's in that manner, it's a home for the elderly, I just don't know what it is called), it was a beautiful garden. She had diabetes and she had both of her legs amputated. After she died I stopped visiting the place because of just how much it used to make me cry... QUIZ TIME!!! If you were stupid and you were in charge of the city, what out of these things would you build next to the hospital I just mentioned? a) a shopping centre b) a small shop c) a pharmacy d) another hospital Because (thankfully) you are not as stupid as the guy that built this, I will answer the question for you... a) a shopping centre For goodness sake WHY WOULD YOU DO SUCH A THING?! In october 2018 I lost my mother, I was 15 back then... She was sick with MS even before my birth. When I was 6, she wasn't able to walk anymore... We had hard times with her, of course... It isn't easy for someone to be this sick, even if this person is a mother, wife or anything like that. Still she was my mother, there will always be this connection... She giftet me with life. When I was 13, her health has worsen from one moment to another. It was so bad, that we thought she would die in a few days. As far as I know she even was dead back then for a couple of seconds... But in the end, she survived. But for what... After that moment, I have seen her dying. She wasn't surviving two years, she was dying two years. It was some of the cruelst things I have ever seen in my life. May she rest in peace now. And to all people, who lost someone dear... Whether due to illness or another misfortune... Be strong, stay strong. Life will always keep going somehow, there will always be a reason to life, always a reason to stay strong for. And eventually you can enjoy life again, after the dark times passed. God bless you all!

As a young student in high school I would listen to this song at the dead of night in my room imagining what it would be like to sit at that house and have a life like a Korean person. I would dream of travelling there, establishing a life there, it was my only escape from the crazy life I had back then. As I grew and grew this song slowly became a reminder of my dream to see Korea before I die. The past two years this song manifested itself before my eyes as I looked from the plane window and saw the wonderful mountains of Korea and walked its streets in complete awe with this song at the back of my head the whole time. This song makes me think about lots of things. One a beautiful spring rain, and the other about the family and friends I've lost. Last year my friend killed himself in his home before school and I wasn't expecting that to every happen. Another is my great Gram, she pasted away almost 2 years ago now and I used to visit her almost every day when I went on my walks and I'd sit there and talk to her about the family and what I'm up to; and oh God I miss her so much. I wish I visited her more often.
In my choir class one of the kids got bored during our 3 min break and played this and I started crying because I was going through a break up at the time and it just hit me in the feels. Also I am in a extra choir at my school and in the band room I here the kid playing it (a few months later) this is one of my all time favorite songs. I want to to learn how to play this and Say something on the piano. My friend similar stuff happened to me. It is almost one year since my ex girlfriend left me all suddenly after a trip in japan ( and the problem wasn’t me... ). My grandpa died..I really regret cause I literally didn't show him anything that proof that I love him or make him happy , even when he was sick and can't move or talk I didn't care I just continued playing with my cousins , I was forced to kiss or hug him every time I went to his house. After his death mum told me about him , he was such a perfect man , husband ,father, grandpa , brother , son. He was too humble , kind, and the most important thing is that he loved me , a lot ! I had a similar experience where my grandpa died when I was young. I did not know him well and I did not appreciate my limited time with him, instead feeling shy and wanting to be around younger relatives. I felt regret for a long time but now that I am watching my parents interacting with their grandchildren, I recognise that a young child cannot be expected to figure out how precious their time with grandparents is. It is largely up to the grandparents to make them feel comfortable visiting - to talk to them or play with them at their level. And for the parents to encourage that interaction. Sometimes it’s just not possible, e.g. because they live far apart and can only visit occasionally, but that’s not the child’s fault. Also it is often upsetting for children to have to hug or kiss someone that they are not comfortable with, even if it is expected because they are a close relative. (Ideally, they should be given the option of just saying hello and later waving goodbye). And if the person is visibly ill or dying, that makes it even more upsetting.

Exactly. My grandmothers also passed away when I was young. From my fathers side, she passed away a few months before I was born, and from my mother's side she passed away almost two years ago. We lived in different countries and didn't meet often. My grandfather from my mother's side passed away when I was 4 years old and my last grandparent lives in a different country and he's quite clumsy and has some...problems so I also have to worry about him. Luckily he's feeling quite well despite that so I think he'll live for a while.

This song was played at my twin sister and my little brother’s funeral, because before our Dad died it was his favourite song.
Me and my sister were orphans because our Dad died, and then we finally got to meet our half brother for the first time ever, and we were taken in to care by this women, who instead of caring for us beat us after 30 minutes of meeting our little 3 year old brother. He was so tiny and frail that when only 2 minutes in to the beating he was already weakening, but since my sister and I were 11, we were suffering, but weren’t falling yet. So then my brother died. And then while the women goes to hide his body, we call the ambulance and the police. And there at the hospital, within four days I was improving, but my sister was then given only a 4 percent chance of survival. And 2 days before she died, she wrote this letter to our little brother. And told me to look after it, and from this day, I still have it. And it reads the following.

“Dear little brother, when you were 3 years old we learnt we were siblings, I only got to hold your hand once for 30 minutes, and then the babysitter starts to beat us... I’m sorry the pain took you away from me, but our Daddy once told me that, “when a person seems the least loveable, it only means they need love the most.” . I’m glad you are with Dad, in his arms... no more suffering for you angel. I found out tonight that the beating from the babysitter also effected me and was told the chances of my survival is only 4%. I’m glad though, I won’t need to suffer. This song reminds me of my Kuya (a word to call an older brother or a guy who's older than you in Tagalog). He was my first cousin, but he was like my brother. He was the best Kuya I've ever had. Always smiling, laughing, and playing with me during my childhood years around my grandfather's farm. However, I had to move to America from the Philippines at the age of six to pursue a better life, which was in the year 2009. Because I moved, I lost connection with him. I didn't have a phone back then and I did not have any social media accounts. The only time I communicated with him was when my mom would allow me to greet him on Facebook. 2 years later on June 29 2011, he died at the age of 16 because of a coma. He was hit and run during a rainy day when he was walking from school. That night, his dreams were crushed. Basketball was his ultimate passion and he wanted to pursue it. But that one careless driver crushed every piece of him. And I was irrationally mad at myself..so mad because I never said my last words to him or even went back to the Philippines for his funeral. When he died, I was empty. This was the only song I've listened to while I cry for hours on end. Now, through this, I've learned to NEVER waste a moment spent with my friends and family because death is inevitable…and it will come any second, any hour, any day, and what sucks about it is it comes at the moment you least expect it. One day, you will meet him there too, and that wont be very long. My last call with my grandfather until he died ( i dont know how he died the only thing everyone knows is that he went to sleep and never woke up ) was me saying that i loved him and how i was doing in school (thats usually what we talked about )but i never knew that was the last time i would ever contact him. He died less then 1 week before me and my family went to mexico to see him and the rest of the family. Remember, all that matters is how much you loved your kuya and how he loved you. Instead of thinking how sad it was that he wasent there, think about the happy times you had with him and think positive, one day your gonna see him again. No matter if its 10 years or 10,000 years you and him will fight to see eachother again. Always remember that.

I miss my grandfather 😿 He died of three heart attacks in the hospital. My grandmother is dissapointed and told us he was missing us before he died. So he died missing us. He always wanted two baby girls wich is me and my sister. Now I regret so badly that I didn't get to see him. At his funeral I touched his cold and palid forehead and started crying. I holded my tears as much as I could. But now, I can't even think about him without crying. Now we visit his grave every month.

Nearly a decade ago (wow I feel old) I played piano, but stopped and since then have picked up two other glorious instruments, the violin and the fife. Recently, I've become interested once more in playing the piano. And this song, this absolutely beautiful song, is one of the ones I'd love to learn for piano. I listen to this when I can't sleep, or when I need to focus, and I've fallen in love with it. It is heavenly and I sincerely hope to one day be able to play this. Probably not of this high quality (at least for a while), but enough for the tune to be recognizable.

Even though I am an atheist (and this is something that, for example a Christian would say) I can sometimes hear her voice or feel her presence in situations where I need to make a big decision. When I started writing this comment a got a flashback of me and her in the backyard of the hospital where she was (not really a hospital but it's in that manner, it's a home for the elderly, I just don't know what it is called), it was a beautiful garden. She had diabetes and she had both of her legs amputated.
After she died I stopped visiting the place because of just how much it used to make me cry...

In october 2018 I lost my mother, I was 15 back then... She was sick with MS even before my birth. When I was 6, she wasn't able to walk anymore... We had hard times with her, of course... It isn't easy for someone to be this sick, even if this person is a mother, wife or anything like that. Still she was my mother, there will always be this connection... She giftet me with life.
When I was 13, her health has worsen from one moment to another. It was so bad, that we thought she would die in a few days. As far as I know she even was dead back then for a couple of seconds... But in the end, she survived. But for what... After that moment, I have seen her dying. She wasn't surviving two years, she was dying two years. It was some of the cruelst things I have ever seen in my life.
May she rest in peace now.
And to all people, who lost someone dear... Whether due to illness or another misfortune... Be strong, stay strong. Life will always keep going somehow, there will always be a reason to life, always a reason to stay strong for. And eventually you can enjoy life again, after the dark times passed. This song makes me think about lots of things. One a beautiful spring rain, and the other about the family and friends I've lost. Last year my friend killed himself in his home before school and I wasn't expecting that to every happen. Another is my great Gram, she pasted away almost 2 years ago now and I used to visit her almost every day when I went on my walks and I'd sit there and talk to her about the family and what I'm up to; and oh God I miss her so much. I wish I visited her more often.

In my choir class one of the kids got bored during our 3 min break and played this and I started crying because I was going through a break up at the time and it just hit me in the feels. Also I am in a extra choir at my school and in the band room I here the kid playing it (a few months later) this is one of my all time favorite songs. I want to to learn how to play this and Say something on the piano. Also in the extra choir my friends after practice played Say Something after the teacher left and she came back to us harmonizing and playing her piano and she started singing with us and we were there for an extra hour singing Say Something, Hello, this song, and a lot more, we got extra credit for it and it was awesome.

My friend similar stuff happened to me. It is almost one year since my ex girlfriend left me all suddenly after a trip in japan ( and the problem wasn’t me... ). My grandpa died..I really regret cause I literally didn't show him anything that proof that I love him or make him happy , even when he was sick and can't move or talk I didn't care I just continued playing with my cousins , I was forced to kiss or hug him every time I went to his house. After his death mum told me about him , he was such a perfect man , husband ,father, grandpa , brother , son. He was too humble , kind, and the most important thing is that he loved me , a lot !

I had a similar experience where my grandpa died when I was young. I did not know him well and I did not appreciate my limited time with him, instead feeling shy and wanting to be around younger relatives. I felt regret for a long time but now that I am watching my parents interacting with their grandchildren, I recognise that a young child cannot be expected to figure out how precious their time with grandparents is. It is largely up to the grandparents to make them feel comfortable visiting - to talk to them or play with them at their level. And for the parents to encourage that interaction. Sometimes it’s just not possible, e.g. because they live far apart and can only visit occasionally, but that’s not the child’s fault.
Also it is often upsetting for children to have to hug or kiss someone that they are not comfortable with, even if it is expected because they are a close relative. (Ideally, they should be given the option of just saying hello and later waving goodbye). And if the person is visibly ill or dying, that makes it even more upsetting.
